There's a noticeable difference in the attitudes from fans of different teams. Poole fans seem quick to criticise and want changes as soon as riders go through a bad patch or don't live up to their expectations. Kurtz was a hero, the new superstar and now he is going through a bad patch he is constantly criticised, Josh G is what he is, a good second string, possible third heat leader, he is having a difficult time and so must go, Szczepaniak is not far off his starting average but because he was expected to be far better, a ringer, he must go. At Belle Vue Cook had been going through a difficult time, the fans are loyal and supportive not calling for him to go and if this week is any guide, it seems he may be getting back to form. Drozdz has struggled, not achieving his starting average but again fans are not calling for his head, they can see he is giving 100% and like Cook,. he has had two impressive performance this week. Maybe, just maybe, riders respond better when fans and teams offer encouragement and show loyalty than when they must feel the insecurity of knowing that there is a sword hanging over them.

Surely with the Poultec academy based from Kings Lynn and the extra track time afforded to those riders one must be worth a look? In terms of Brits who would hold their own at least against the opposite numbers Morley, Mountain, Bacon, Hume or Shanes all have to be a more positive signing than sticking with Andersen.

We now find Kasper Andersen is suspended from British racing, having deemed to have concussion, yet cleared by a GP the next day to race in Denmark on Wednesday! Words fail me. Its not the Managements fault, but if I was in their shoes, he would be out of the door, and replaced with a young British rider. Surely we can't do any worse?

Palm Toft scores 17 for Peterborough tonight, whilst the Stars are thrashed at Swindon, and the Management wonder why the fans are hacked off!

who ever done the championship fixture lised , should be sued , boiled , and fed to chickens ..

Local derbies, less travel money for the riders, bigger crowds, clearly you don't understand how speedway works at all.

It wasn't that bad was it? But glad you enjoyed yourself at times.... and had some use for ya Massif horn.

Total stitch up all night. Garcia was ahead by nearly half a wheel. King should never have been allowed IRR - he started off injured and maybe aggravated it but didn't incur a new injury. Should be a 14 match ban after he is signed off as fully fit. And Rory's flier in heat 15 put any of Sarj's or Campo's to shame. And Andersson should never have been excluded from whatever heat it was. And all because the lady likes a lollipop? All these decisions against us - we could have hit 60 otherwise, well maybe if Ricky had brought his normal form to the party and we had cut out our last places. And if the track hadn't been so rough. What is that contraption made of bedsprings actually meant to do? Nice shiny tractor though. But we scored what we are usually scoring away from home nowadays - 37. But fings can only get better, onwards and upwards, there's light in the tunnel, every dog has his day, and it's our 70th birthday. Take that. Good to meet up with the Massif mob again for the first time in a while and the last time for a while. Sound system was slightly improved. But I'm still not going to donate to Bustit's pension fund - I have my pride and I know how to hide all my sorrow and pain - heard that before somewhere. C'mon the Monarchs.

Since he is likely to be paid more and earn more at Ipswich, I wouldn't have thought signing him would be a problem, as money talks, and I'm sure he wants to earn as much money as he can, oh and we will take proctor off your hands too

Please ipswich management give mason a job for next season, on his average he is a must. In 2 weeks time he visits again as a reserve.

I see Matt Ford fan isn’t even trying to pretend he’s not a multi anymore. The predictions, the “ inside information “ and the slating of riders is so similar across his multiple personalities he doesn’t even try to hide it. I wonder what what his next t reincarnation will be?

Jepsen Jensen would be a brilliant signing, he's a Wimborne Road track specialist.

I cant remember seeing Garry May ride, but as a manager hes won: Premier League Champions - 2013, 2016Premier League KO Cup Winners - 2013, 2015Premier League Cup Winners - 2012, 2016Premier Shield Winners - 2014, 2016Premier League Fours Champions - 2014Premier League Pairs Champions - 2013, 2016 And Sam Masters won the PLRC whilst Garry was manager. Im sure there are plenty of teams that would love their manager to be as fruitful.

One of the absurdities of the current system is that Rye House and Lakeside, natural rivals, have so rarely raced each other for many years. Those lost derbies could have made a heck of a lot to the finances of the track over the years. Neither track really belongs in the top flight. They should be racing each other. Imagine a fixture list including the Rockets racing Lakeside, Ipswich, King's Lynn, Peterborough, Kent and Eastbourne, before you even look further afield. It'll never happen,.........but just imagine....

The sad thing is that despite the many valid points for and against the fixed race nights raised herein and in particular how the sport could be improved no one who is in charge of speedway in the UK is listening or gives a fig and the riders tend to look after themselves. Supporters, fans, followers, all area irrelevant, the only thing management and riders are interested in is the entrance fee paid and the income from other areas such as food, car park, programmes etc. that go towards paying over inflated wages and money spent on bikes etc. The sooner the two guilty culprits realise that funds/followers simply do not generate sufficient income to make their demands viable. Why else are so many clubs in dire financial straits and so few new potential riders of the right quality and skills coming through the ranks. A radicle change is required but it will not happen. At the moment you have fewer meetings and lack of continuity with some clubs racing at home once every three weeks and this is another nail in the coffin. I doubt that any of the current encumbents at the BSPA are capable of pulling the preferable rabbit out of the hat and fewer clubs will be coming to the tapes in 2019.

The self fulfilling prophecy of what we have today is clearly not down to the fans... Any failing business simply cannot blame the general public for not purchasing it's products.. For the past 20 years or so promoters of Speedway (British Speedway), have been given some fantastic constructive feedback from fans (and more importantly possibly) ex fans who still care.. 24/7 Social media has replaced the way a few fans moaned to each other at trackside, getting more and more disillusioned. Or writing the odd letter to the various magazines that do/did cover the sport airing their frustrations at what they were being served up.. As an example, on this thread 'guests' were mentioned as being in the sport for 40 years plus.. Now domestic League Speedway is shown regularly on National TV and Social Media is rife, you simply cannot get away with such nonsense if you are truly serious in trying to attract a wider audience and to entice them to a 'proper sport'.. Many fans, and ex fans, have said this for many years yet (as is their right), British Speedway Promoters have ignored such comments and continued with this policy.. It is irrefutable that the operating and business models of the past 15 to 20 years or so are not fit for purpose as year on year operating costs rise and income dwindles... And let's be honest, it 100% isn't the fans decision to run with these models... Nor is it their fault when they highlight, via their opinions, 'the bleedin' obvious'...

From the second bend it looked very close but obviously a fair way away and an awkward angle - couldn’t say with confidence either way but was surprised they gave it to Connor rightly or wrongly the awarding of that point I’d like to just say Connor was fantastic value all night his confidence looks up and hopefully over the next few meetings he starts to come out on top in more and more of these battles turning great effort into more points - but even if he didn’t I would happily pay to watch him put in that level of effort every meeting!

Best solution I've come across is two equal standard "conferences" of 9 or 10 teams each and they can run their home race nights so as not to clash spread from Thursday to Monday. Doubling up should be plentiful and unconflicting! The two conference winners (however arrived at) meet in a grand final. Would probably mean no Bewley and Lambert for example as they would likely take the "Poland" option along with 20+ others currently in the PL. But better collaboration between UK and Denmark would be desriable in the best interests of both in terms of rider opportunities and development. Helped of course by UK not using Wednesdays!!

Two good posts. Surely enough is enough. No one really wants to see a track close but neither do we want to hear of injuries or farcical circumstances further damaging speedways fragile reputation. A suspension or closure may be a blessing.
