How low has interest sunk in KL Speedway? Fans not aware the Stars are away at Leicester tomorrow- updates on up coming meetings on social media none existent whoever in charge of that needs to be shown the door . With Lambert win last night in the European Championship you’d have thought the club would be milking that for all it’s worth and up coming meetings but no - then they wonder why fans walk away - sadly can see the club is entering the usual pattern of the last few seasons let’s get the season over and done with asap

Pleasantly surprised thought it would be quite good but some of the racing was brilliant. Shows you don't need the top boys to get proper speedway. Just a pity Germany lost most of there team prior to the match due to injury otherwise it would probably have been unbelievable

According to Jon Cook in S/S;- "Our entry to the Championship was submitted that we were going to run mainly as a Friday club, with us accommodating the likes of Scunthorpe and Glasgow even though they opted to choose their race night this season This was discussed at the fixture meeting earlier this year and there were no real issues as we have been a Friday racetrack since 2007. For someone like ourselves we haven't got the availability of our venue to fulfil our fixture list if we could only run on a Saturday." The point really is that the fixtures were submitted and approved then suddenly removed half way through the season without notice or explanation. Nobody forced them to accept the Friday fixture list. They could have said no before the season started but to get half way through t the season and then remove the fixtures, apparently at the whim of a BSPA MC member is despicable.

I would change the present day for the 70s 80s any day, you might get the odd change but all in all it was the bulk of the team year after year, you would get that bond with the riders

Always makes me laugh when supporters say , hope he comes back next year and rides for our club, why the hell would they when they have just been sacked by them, i hope they say f u and go on to better things at another club like Etheridge has done, Junior

Still not convinced about that. "Linus, we are bringing in Harris. Do you want to say you asked to be dropped or should we tell everyone you were canned?"

Removing Poole from the argument (is not all about them all the time) I think there should be a maximum number of changes per season. Back in 2002 Wagstaff used twenty odd riders across the season and it was ridiculous, it was impossible to bond with most of the team as they kept getting replaced. Operate squads if need be but any more than three or four non injury changes is too many.

Once again nothing on the Stars web site. Promises...promises.... Mr Brundle asleep behind his desk perhaps? Poole sign Chris Harris, we sign...Simon Lambert (again) yes I know its only a temporary thing but really, where has the ambition of this club gone? Bottom of the League with a miserable 12 points, once again it looks as if we will struggle along until the bitter end and then all the promises of a wonderful team for NEXT season will emerge. All sounds very familiar, doesn't it?

Chris Harris should not be allowed anywhere near the GP challenge, Craig Cook is bad enough. If the FIM see sense they will promote Hampel and not Harris.

The "boy" with lots of promise, turned into the man with the speedway world at his feet. Some superb races last night leading to the top step of the podium. Go Lambo Go. Match, what match, where? What team, who? KLS will soon be making Team Lineup announcements at the turnstiles.

No point in targeting new audiences, or even trying to hold on to your existing ones if you don't first of all give them a speedway meeting to attend. As has been said before, what those dullards Chapman and Godfrey have done is to unliterally wipe three clubs fixtures from the already sparse fixture list , which cannot fail to hit the attendances of the clubs concerned even further. They then compound that display of mismanagement by telling the fans absolutely nothing, not even the briefest of announcements and merrily carrying on as if nothing has happened, and hope the fans wont notice. The more I think about this utter, crass stupidity, the lack of communication, and the abject short sightedness of those at the helm, the angrier I get. They are worse than useless.

Could we not sign all 5 ? A lot of the racing was absolutely awesome tonight, the GB gating was nearly flawless. and the lines they rode were brilliant. Bewley was untouchable, Mountain came 'off the bench' and impressed with an unbeaten 2 heats, Zach was excellent until his perhaps over-ambitious under-passing attempt, Ellis inspired as captain, and (new Tiger) Greaves looks set to become a firm favourite with the Glasgow support. Especially if he keeps smiling as widely as he did tonight............ reminiscent of Josh G. Kennedy was a VERY lucky boy to walk away from his high jump over the air fence and I hope Zach has suffered no serious injury. If Lambert is unavailable for the final, it will save Vatch the thankless task of telling one of this team that they're dropped.

That was a fantastic nights entertainment, the track craft for riders so young was a joy to watch. Dan was head and shoulders above the rest, the rate he is progressing augurs well for British Speedway alongside Robert Lambert.

I've known us get 36 points with a full team in years gone by so to get that with 3 riders one could say we are progressing as a club...

Feel really sorry for Mark, good luck lad and I hope you can come back to us sometime. Thanks for your contribution to Monarchs, you are a much better rider than you have been lately. I’m sure someone will snap you up

Awesome meeting to watch, some real prospects out there tonight. Credit to the young riders, no fannying about, no gamesmanship at the start, no gardening at the tapes, just riders wanting to race and getting stuck in. Germany were off the pace but Jan Kvech looks decent as do a couple of the Australians. Lidsey was superb but no match for Bewley who rode like we wanted him to last season. Nathan Greaves and Connor Mountain looked good. Hopefully the Tigers line up one of these boys with a 2019 contract!

Jon has stated in the past, Lakeside would only enter the Championship if they could have Fridays - any other day (excl. the odd Saturdays) would be financial suicide and see the end of speedway at The Raceway. Therefore, on the basis that we are in the Championship, Fridays were agreed. The current situation appears to be as a result of self-interest and potential abuse of power.

The current plight of British speedway reminds me so much of the situation of traditional High Street shops. They had it good for decades, opening when they wanted, and charging what they wanted, totally ignoring the challenges creeping up behind them. When they finally realised that they were in trouble, the opportunity to put in the fix had passed There's no rescuing the High Street now, there might, just might, be one last chance to rescue speedway if radical action is taken now, before the shutters come down permanently

Group 1 Lakeside (Morris & Lawson) Scunthorpe (Auty & Allen) Edinburgh (Wells & E Riss) Peterborough (Nicholls & Palm Toft) Berwick (Doolan & Summers) Group 2 Sheffield (Howarth & Wright) Ipswich (Schlein & Covatti) Glasgow (not sure on pairing but will be either Harris & Vissing or Vissing & Starke) Redcar (Barker & Jorgensen) Workington (Proctor & Klindt) For me I really think Worky could be spoilers but Edinburgh, Lakeside and Sheffield have to be the favourites, I’ll go with Edinburgh to win. Hope it’s good weather and a good crowd.
