On another thread another poster has just described the bloke from Monster as 'an absolute penis of a man'. I am unsure whether this is more perception than fact. But it does seem a reasonable conclusion from the evidence.

Despite his big upturn in form I think Callum Walker could be victim of this, with him effectively being rested so a guest can be used for Danyon. That gives you back 4 heat leaders and walker rr = 1 heat leader and 3 reserve rides. Which is far stronger then 3 heat leaders and, Hume rr = flint, walker plus 2 reserve rides.

Riss is a major boost for Kings Lynn and Simon Lambert is pretty good at home shame for Garrity but Riss is far better.

The dont think need for reserves is necessary any more. I'd still keep it 7 man teams, make the top 2 rider's at 1 & 5, and the 2 lowest at 6 & 7. With current rules, we now have R/R and I/R/R. The only change I'd make to the rules is that I/R/R is allowed if a team is using R/R already. Each rider can only take 1 ride. Also, with R/R and I/R/R it should be 2 rider's with a higher or the same average and all rider's with a lower average. This then would (If the No7 was injured) only leave 1 heat with 3 rider's only. But if a team uses I/R/R that injured rider is sidelined for 8 days minimum. This way, the need for reserves to take 7 rides is unnecessary to the sport, and rightly so.

The guys have been working frantically with the readymix so the track should be without that rut/hole for the next home meeting and the play-offs. Unfortunately there will now be a bump which might deter some from sticking their front wheel across the white line when they miss the gate?!

Don't think any Lynn fans are underestimating Somerset whatsoever.If you read it properly most Lynn fans apart from Danny Smith would prefer to ride Belle Vue if they make it and if Lynn got the choice in the semi final.The reason being Lynn don't do so well against Poole.This would leave Poole v Somerset in the other semi,the only team that could beat Poole over 2 legs.Now we are not underestimating Somerset at all it's just that we feel we would have a better chance if we were to face Somerset in the final rather than Poole. Of course, what the idiot doesn’t realise is that every track including Lakeside cannot race unless there is a valid track certificate. The track certificate can only be renewed after an inspection be an SCB inspector, and has to be renewed every three years. The inspection includes safety fences and airfences, and if it appears to ANY referee that the track has fallen below the required standard a further inspection may be ordered. Mick Bates did the last official track certificate in 2017, so it still has nearly 2 years to run. Voice of Reason is talking out of his rear end as usual . If he really was a clerk of the course as he falsely claims he would know all about track certificates.Instead he has just made a fool of himself yet again.

Despite your snide snitching, the ref obviously gave it the thumbs up as being fit for purpose. Since you were last there they could of course remedied the issues you mention. Your issues of course are still with you.

Yet the Premiership is now actively trying to entice several Championship clubs to fortify it's rather pathetic current number. I wouldn't be surprised if fixed race nights are abandoned and the current strength of Championship clubs becomes the new top level, as Championship sides reduce their maximum averages even further. You have to go with what pays, which means going with their most successful race night/day for all clubs.
