Shame your management didn't think that way instead of acting like spoilt brats when Poole lost both matches.

There are four groups of riders as far as the Ben Fund goes. Firstly there are riders good enough to bring in fans who are regularly committed to the event. This group includes Ben Barker, Steve Worrall, Chris Harris, Rory Schlein. Secondly there is an equally committed group of not-so-good riders who will always ride but really just make up the numbers. They deserve equal applause. Then there are those who will do it if pushed and if they have nothing better to do. They will then pull out without any feeling of guilt if a paid booking crops up. A substantial number of riders did that on this occasion. They don't realise that this is the LAST meeting you should pull out of, not the first. And finally there are those who won’t even consider doing it. They get asked and don’t even return calls. Support from the promoters comes from just one or two who are prepared to offer tracks to stage the meeting or to push their riders into competing. But generally they are not supportive, individually or as a group. Because I am involved I do know a lot of scare stories about riders and promoters who don’t give a damn about the Ben Fund. I consider it truly shocking. But I can’t name names unfortunately because that has to be Paul Ackroyd’s call. Fortunately Paul is a strong character otherwise the whole business would bring him down.

Even if we had the Ipswich Cup I wouldnt be confident of the Witches winning it!

Poole were being ridiculed after a few months for being bottom and losing at home etc... made some decent signings and now could win the league. Id say its a pretty good effort to be honest , even if they dont win the league from here

Lets be perfectly honest, Glasgow have plenty of history with on and off track violence over the years. Lindqvist/Beveridge at Newport in 1999 when Beveridge decided to boot Lindqvist in the shoulder when he was lying on the ground, with his steel shoe. Then theres the following year when Andre Compton who was guesting for Newport at the time had to have a police escort out the stadium, thats without numerous other occasions. The fans on the whole are great though.

A stunning effort lol. The hottest pre season favourites for many years .......make 13 changes........benefitted from Rye closing and avoided injuries.......and you think that’s a stunning effort It’s like congratulating Man City on making the top four lol Even now in the final missing Kurtz helps Poole as well Anything less than a Poole win will be failure after being hot favourites, and loads of changes to not then be champs will be a disappointment

Would think not, as I understand the top four teams in the play offs can only have guests from teams not involved in the play offs, think this is from semi finals onwards, but it is speedway and anything can happen, especially if Glasgow want a guest for cookie

I always wonder how Oxford and Cambridge always seem to make the final of the Boat Race.

Haters gonna hate! Doesn't matter what Poole do it is always going to be less than what they should be doing in his eyes.

Correct and rightly so They also deem getting these play off meetings completed more important than a Mickey Mouse challenge match. (under the guise of a Scottish Cup). Worky will be able to take the morale high ground over fixtures in the next few weeks as due to the commitments of other sides Jacko will have difficulty fitting in all of these required fixtures. Here's a daft idea! could the the BSPA not have made more than one deadline. The cut off for the league season was extended by one week to allow a couple of teams to complete their fixtures, however once this cut off date was reached and the protagonists for the play offs known all they needed to do was say from this cut off date you have 14 Days to arrange and complete the semi final and once those meetings are resolved another 14 days to arrange and complete the final. Everything done in a 4 week period. How hard can that be? Regards THJ

Winning the championship .would be an absolutely unbelievable thing , maybe winning the premier not so much

Not a stunning comeback lol. 12 down on aggregate with 3 races to come for the world champ.! Pre-season and team we had at the start is irrelevant. We had to get 3 5-1 advantages just to get level. It was like M City were 4-0 down at half time against Liverpool. Anything less than a Poole win is always failure for us and i can imagine the flak we would have got had we lost.

When will the mods do something about this troll?

A wee question about that . Since riders cant guest for another team in the play offs ( remember them Monarchs fans ) and since Son of God now rides for a shopping centre who have also made the play offs . If , this weekend , Peterborough knock the shopping centre out of the play offs . Would Son of God still be ineligible to guest for his spiritual home if Cookie was still out of action by the time we go to war with the Comets on the 12th ?

You lost Brady because of his own reckless riding which also took out Jack and was the match winner for you. Poole won by 2 points over 30 heats, almost half of them against 4 Rebels & a useless guest.

The racing at Poole was more close because Somerset was still in with a chance , Unlike King's Lynn where Belle Vue were beaten before it started

On both occasions that the Hammers have run out of Rye, I have seen very few people sporting anything related to Rockets. It's been mainly Hammers and Panthers fans in attendance. Whilst we are still trying to get back to Essex, we should remain the Lakeside Hammers. Most Essex fans will not travel further to support a Rye team or a team that isn't the Hammers. Especially at a track that doesn't provide good racing. Also, Lakeside isn't that geographically specific like a city name would be. If the team can find a new home in Essex, the team should be called the Essex Hammers to get the entire county behind the team and increase the catchment area.

Whatever the truth behind Summers absence, the Rebels and their guest need to get their stories in sync. Team Manager in interview said he only found out on the morning of the meeting whereas Howarth when interviewed said he and his girlfriend had loaded up the van the previous day!!

This coming weekend Young guns Luke Harrison, Freddie Fox Barron and Sam Mcgurk take part in the second round of the Dutch open Championship on Friday at Veenord with Sam Currently leading Luke by one point there's a great chance of a British one two and with Freddie a bit further back it could be an interesting meeting. Then on Saturday the all take part in the Golden helmet meeting more great experience for the up and coming riders
