I’d like to see tungate go to Lynn and we get Erik Riss but I’m sure Riss will be at Lynn.

Rohan would drop at least 1,5 off his starting average,,, not what we need. We don't know how Danny will come back from his injury either. Anyway I shall go back into hiding again now before I start getting into arguments and saying what I really think. Bye for now

I think its safe to say you know F*** all about Max Fricke !

The hard limit to be set at 13500 - cant see this being an issue anywhere other than the startline so any fears of it kicking in mid corner are surely unfounded Presumably this is an attempt to reduce engine wear and therefore costs by removing the issue at the start where almost all the stress halpens Even there the opinion of Chris Louis was that the benefit would be minimal

There is room for all of Facebook, live updates, and all the other sites that analyse things. As I see it updates is really only about communicating who won and what the heat results & scores are in as quick a time as possible. The dissection, analysis, praising, and criticising can come later. Which ever people see as their favourite or which they think is better is up to them. Some people want every minute detail, some only want to know who won. My only issue is I hate duplication of effort. This year a representative from MA is updating the Australian Championship Facebook page quite soon after it happens, and this is the first year they have done that. If it continues it will reduce the significance of live updates and live updates may end up ceasing altogether, but let it be said live updates has filled a void for about 10 years. We all know of certain sites that have used what was on updates to ghost write articles for their own publications so updates has both directly and indirectly helped spread the word. However, social media like Facebook is the way things are going and the more traditional forums seem to be dying out. I have no issue if updates eventually fades into the background where the Australian Championships are concerned, although those that don’t like Facebook will still look at updates. In 15 years Facebook will probably have had its day as well and we all will have moved on to the next platform anyway.

Right let's think about this logically,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, who else plays golf

unfortunately riders come and go at poole some riders don't fit and rohan was one of them

Me....but probably too old for anything else according to the missus

Of course once upon a time riders used to twist the throttle back and forwards on the start line so as to gain maximum grip when the tapes rose...now of course it's just full revs with the throttle full on akin to rocket propulsion when the clutch is eventually released.

I wouldn't have Tungate, too inconsistent and not someone I've warmed to.

They will potentially get better starts - all those revs don't help. RIders will adapt.

Dont see the point as the only time they have any use is at the startline. Current engines can rev up to 18k but is used in racing between 8-12k if I remember correct. But I guess savings are savings even if only for the 4 seconds before tapes up...

Who says King will be a second string? With the lack of riders he may end up starting as one of the heat leaders, unless you know the rest of the team of course. The riders mentioned on here would leave our team far from rosey, in my eyes anyway.
  14. 1 point
Spot on We have Jake Allen at reserve as Poole couldn’t afford him We also have Danny King as a second string .... a much better rider than Klindt , Josh and Worrall..... one of whom will be a heat leader...... All rosy this way

Dean Felton? Tell us what you think
  16. 1 point
Yes, I agree 100%, but it raises the question " when is a troll not a troll?" , in other words , how do you draw the line between the genuine trolls, and those that are just plain thick, or socially inept or attention seekers or like others to think they have inside information when they don't, and all these other things that are irritable to most of us but not exactly trolling Bottom line is, it's a public forum and you can't ban people just because you don't like the way they express themselves. You are right though. I haven't looked at the Premiership section since the season finished and usually only have cursory glance at the Championship section, for the reasons you state. In a sense it reflects the way the sport in general is going, which is a shame because I have met some great people through Speedwáy.

Kurtz has the habit of blowing his chances in these big meetings, either through falling or trying to hard. Its something i though he might iron out as he gets older Jack Holder will be the better of the two riders but as of yet isnt the class of his older brother or Fricke Tungate is doing well but always tends to down under and then doesnt seem to carry his form forward. If he could he would be a potent third heat leader Good to see Chris Holder doing well. On paper he is the favourite for the title before a wheel is turned but he is coping fine with that pressure.

And you don't cause trouble here ?
  20. 1 point
I find that the problem is not necessarily anything terrible that has been said. It's the fact that so many threads, particularly in the Premiership section, just descend into absolute drivel. Caused by the usual trolls, and those who can't help but respond to their every post, even though they must know by now what the outcome will be. I used to enjoy reading through the forum and keeping in touch with things but these days find that, too often, it's just tedious garbage.

No real need for third party moderation... It should just be self moderating by the 'normal' people on here.. If trolls take over a thread then no one quote their posts or rise up and reply to them.. Keyboard warriors are often socially inept misfits, whose only recognition of their own pitiful very existence comes via responses gleaned on forums full of people they will never meet. With them getting some kind of kicks to offset their often shallow soulless, friendless lives... There are only a few prats on here anyway so not difficult to pin point them, even if a 'multi', as they always use the same M.O. So after a few posts of a 'newbie' it is self evident who they really are/have been.. Don't give them the oxygen of acknowledgement and they will soon get really peed off as the debates carry on around them... Really. Really. Peed off I would imagine...

I think you are half right - the 2 others

Can't you say how much the Licences would cost and maybe someone could set up a crowd funding page to cover all costs for the day. Speedway fans seem to unite when a fellow club neds help, and every fan seems sad at your clubs demise, and I am sure people would be keen to help to see another event held at your picturesque venue.

Think he had a tough season throughout Europe last season so he can only be better this season. Starting off lower down the order should see him improve by half a point at least I reckon. Wolves have had a fair few testimonials over the last 10 years and I agree loyalty is a rare breed these days. I like the look of this team. Robins are real dark horses to me too. In fairness the Oz championships prove nothing as Tungate has been champion. Lidsey will be great to watch next year I reckon,

Great start by Fricke, Lidsey i have followed since his under 15s days along with Gilmore he is a great signing the NSS should suit him down to the ground.
