Think there is a lot more than we know or will ever know.

I have reasoned this before. I even wondered how long it will be before they rename the league as the CHAPMANSHIP

quite agree, i think it is essential that when a speedway club holds a public meeting for supporters that everything is kept secret,we dont want every tom, dick or harry in the area hearing about poole speedway

My own view is that Ged did not go voluntarily

After all the hassle with Jack Holder, Torun & Buster interfering, plus Busters own agenda with Chris Holder, is anybody really surprised that Ged don't want to work with him ?

Don't people see that there was a six week gap between Harris signing for Peterborough before the decision was made to axe him being just a little bit suspicious and losing Ged through this has also cost them the main team sponsor as well who had already pledged to a continuation for 2019.

Spot on , it's just a cover up for the truth , part of the deal is Rathbone and Watson must remain tight lipped and not tell the real truth and Chapman now thinks everything in the garden is rosy , I for one don't believe that there is a great deal of difference between the Harris and Tungate potential earnings this move was more for the benefit to suit Ipswich who had a problem finding a suitable NO;1. Sorry Buster Chapman I don't buy your bull 5hit.

I was always puzzled as a youngster about Garry Steve, because he seemed a happy go lucky chap when i see him ride.I have his prized autograph and always thought his reputation was false. In a way just like Jack Millen he had a fearsome reputation but people have commented on just how nice a guy Jack was he was great for helping young riders.Back to Middleton Steve how good was he ? you would know more than me on that score. He was really good for Oxford fast and aggressive it is such a shame how his life ended up.

Looking at all-time careers I find it difficult to choose between Norman Hunter, Colin Pratt, Jack Biggs and Bob Andrews.

After a long, long winter break, our annual speedway fix is just days away. i wish all riders, from all the Championship teams, a safe seasons riding. There will be some great meetings this season, ( as there always is), we supporters appreciate what risks you take to entertain us. Oh, and one further wish, Redcar Bears to do," a Workington 2018", and do the treble. COME ON !!!!

True but they are still in their infancy with respect to speedway. If they were being made for specific riders rather than just a one size fits all then they could be a little more tailored.

There’s every chance Ipswich had money left in their budget and Harris deal was re-negiogated so he is on far less at Ipswich then he was at Peterborough.

Yes we will get behind him but respecting each other is a two way thing . Rightly or wrongly i expect his machinery to but up to scratch as a minimum . To be fair i do not think that David Mason would tolerate such poor machinery and preparation to often.

Confirmation of what was largely known already although confirmation that Tungate is notably cheaper than Harris is quite alarming because i doubt Rohan comes that cheap so Bomber must be raking it in once again.

Those colours still stand Yellow has been more noticable in recent times with the Tru link although it has often been a part anyway If you look all the individual sponsors on the Witches suits are in white so more consistentcy (KP aside )

For the work Dennis has done over the years, much of it un-noticed, Berwick Rangers and Berwick Speedway owe him a huge debt of gratitude. As you say a gentleman.

Lets cut the cr** none of the "big boys" were their because its a freeby and they cant expect there normal big fees , greatest respect to all the riders who turned up to entertain and to raise funds the rest hope u get round the stadiums with your helmets on collection night .

Are you really a Belle Vue fan, or are you another forum member posing under another name? Why are going on about the stadium like you are? Swindon fans know there are concerns, but we don't need supporters of other tracks coming here and taking the mickey about it, just because they now have their own new track. I think there's only one person who needs to grow up.

I've never been able to understand this theory that everything was better in the old days. You can look back to a lot of results in the 70s and 80s and see absolute hammerings. Imagine how those type of results would be treated on this forum nowadays. The "second halves", I can remember a lot of the time riders didn't fancy it and either went through the motions, or were replaced by local juniors because of bike problems. I bet the forum members would love that these days. The good old days when riders were part timers, travelling about with the one bike on the back of a car. What if that bike got damaged in a crash or blew an engine? You either had to borrow another bike or withdrew from the meeting. You can imagine that going down well these days. You look back at the race time back then, I will use my own club Berwick as an example. Race times in the 70s and 80s are roughly the same as a Northern Junior League race now. Can you imagine many fans nowadays putting up with that as a night's entertainment. Yes it would be great if we could get back to a time where we had the top riders in the world competing in our leagues, but unless we can find some rich benefactors or miraculously find some big sponsorship or TV money, we have to accept this isn't going to happen. Let's face it, we were all a lot more easily pleased in the past. There were fewer alternatives, we were less coddled in those days. Now we want instant gratification and we want it all the time. For my opinion, speedway is better now than it ever has been, throughout the sport. More riders are becoming "professional", the standard of riders have gone up as a whole, right across the sport. But all I see on the forum is doom and gloom. I find I spend very little time looking at the forum these days, the general mood starts to bring me down.
