Cannot believe some on here can say it isn't strictly bullying as it was a private WhatsApp group, sorry but it is bullying and it is unacceptable. I'd tend to agree with the posts above that it's a lot of sad, old men who have had it their own way for too long and now they have a bit of competition. However, and having said all that, if Taylor is getting a leg up because of his dad and Pearson then it's not right. Pearson seems to be slowly taking over all speedway media recently, including these "special" programmes we get for the shared events. I did note in the recent SoN programme that Pearson had something to do with the company that makes them. These jobs for the boys are the kind of crap that speedway could do without, and just carries on from the Terry Russell days. We'll never get fair media now we'll just get whatever Pearson wants. Whatever the truth is, bullying of a 17 year old child is pathetic, but perhaps not unexpected from some of those involved.

Surely Danny Ayres has been a terrific signing? With Jedd's average not allowed to drop below 4.00, he was going to be stuck in the main body of the side, before Scorpions made a team change and introduced Danny. Keeping Jedd at either No 4 or No 2 would have destroyed his confidence. Now Rob's plan is that Jedd will come in at reserve, alongside Ryan Kinsley, and it's all possible due to the signing of Danny Ayres in the meantime, who is maintaining an average of over 4.00. Without Danny, we could have easily lost one or two more home meetings - I think his signing was inspired and has been essential. As well as scoring the points, he's also an entertainer, a team man and a positive influence in the pits. I think one of the best things to happen to Scunthorpe this season is Danny Ayres.

Think it is about time I posted on this thread as some of it seems to be about me. My name is Ian Adam and I have been a photographer at Glasgow Speedway since 1991 of there abouts. I first met Taylor Lanning in 2015 as I knew his dad Phil Lanning from many years back at Shawfield Speedway. His dad asked me as he was interested in photography if he could take some photos on the centre green technically I should have said no as he was only 13/14 at the time but as Phil was a friend I said yes. Phil also asked me for some help in picking cameras and I have pointed him in the right direction in picking up good deals in lenses. Along these years I have been more that happy to pass onto Taylor tips on how to capture the action and I think now seeing where he is and the quality he is producing my help and training has paid off. Now it appears that according to Phil I have been involved in bullying his son for over two years an allegation that I strongly deny I have never bullied Taylor Lanning if I have where is the evidence. During this alleged two years bullying Phil and Taylor have shared a table with my family at the Tigers End of Season dance, 4 years running and no mention of bulling was raised at the table I also shared a car with Phil and Taylor to the SON meeting at Belle Vue in 2018 stopping off at Bolton for some lunch again no mention of bullying at any time during the trip. Phil also arranged for me to obtain a photographer pass for the Dubai Airshow in November 2017 and again no mention of bullying also in December 2018 I attended a Christmas Speedway function with Phil and again no mention of bullying at any time during the day. I was a member of a UK wide Speedway Photographers WhatsApp group which this season raised concerns about the number of tracks that Phil and Taylor were turning up at and taking photographs at without any prior introduction to the track photographers based there which should be a done as a form of courtesy which now appears to have been an oversight which Nigel Pearson has apologies to all the photographers for, and it may have turned into a bit of a moan fest but I do not see this as a from of bullying as it was not directed at any individuals and it was raised on a private chat group. The poster GreenLightGo seems to know a lot about this situation so I am more that happy to share with them my home phone number and we can have a chat and I will be happy to explain the facts to them and answer their questions I also notice they are a regular at Ashfield again I would be happy to meet them after a meeting at Ashfield and discuss. I believe the management at Glasgow are going to have a full investigation into these serious allegations, as they should and I commend them caring out this investigation, I have informed them I am more that happy to fully cooperate with this investigation. I will say again I have never bulled Taylor Lanning.

I thought that this was a very enjoyable meeting - a very well thought out format and some top class racing to match. The Redcar promotion should take a bow!

Spoke to Hoggy a couple of weeks ago and although he will be getting involved with presenting events at the Cardiff GP and attending a meeting in Poland otherwise he has no role in speedway at present. That's a shame, particularly as his nearest track (Scunthorpe) are in serious need of a meeting presenter.

Totally agree Mort should be applauded he was treated terribly and i would love to see him back involved in speedway again a great guy to.

I was appalled to learn of some disgusting behaviour of a group of speedway photographers against a 17yr old kid. At Glasgow we have a young man learning his trade and producing some fantastic stuff. He has been subject to an appalling bullying campaign by jealous photographers who are subjecting him to a hate campaign. They were recently busted by someone who screen shotted their WhatsApp group. The guys in question are the Leicester photographer, the Edinburgh photographer and 2 from Belle Vue. I appalled to say that 2 from Glasgow are also involved. i understand that this is being investigated by the BSPA. Personally I will no longer be purchasing any pictures from these guys until I see a public apology. i suggest you do too.

I think the much maligned David Gordon deserves as much credit as Mort does. For all that happened at Belle Vue during their tenure, the NSS simply wouldn't exist without their combined effort and determination - and that was in the face of a great deal of scepticism, cynicism and downright abuse from right across the speedway spectrum, from members of this forum to other promotions. I got told that one prominent member of the BSPA was especially dismissive. I remember getting a lot of flak for buying one of the bricks that were sold at the time the stadium was conceived. I can say quite honestly that every time I go into the grandstand now I view it with great pride and pleasure. It is sad that - and I stand to be corrected here - neither Gordon nor Morton attend Belle Vue regularly and it would be fitting if, in view of his overwhelming contribution to Belle Vue Speedway for nearly half a century, one of the stands bore Chris Morton's name.

Great to read it was a good meeting. Peterborough is one of the best race tracks in the UK so I’m not surprised.

Depends what you mean by ‘terribly flash’ but I don’t see much wrong with having a professional image and looking as good as you can when on duty. Years ago at school my PE teacher used to say ‘look smart, play smart’ when we represented the school at football, cricket or whatever and I think that’s true. He didn’t do as well as I thought last season but seems to be fulfilling his potential this year and it’s great to see.

Thank you Ian Adam for at least coming back and giving your side. I have attended various fan meetings and have seen how passionate you are about this great club. I have my personal reasons about why I loathe bullies so much. I am not involved in the situation or “in the know”. Your explanation on the surface looks very plausible but on second read throws up a whole bunch of questions that you might want to address. - IF you have a fantastic relationship with the laddie and his father and this whole matter is a simple misunderstanding, then why has he named you a couple of times in public posts? And repeatably? - IF this is a misunderstanding then have you had a conversation with Lanning Senior about it directly (in the same fashion as you have publicly above) and resolved it? You and him must fall over each other at Ashfield. -Can you explain why you put #amow on some of your tweets which I understand to be ‘all my own work’ - a blatant dig at the laddie whom you all accuse of not doing his own stuff. Is this not a form of bullying? - Is not being ‘formally introduced’ to the track photographers really a reason for behaviour like this? (I didn’t realise you were all so sensitive) - IF Nigel Pearson is sending his team members to the different tracks then what business is this of yours and your WhatsApp buddies? - IF you were all so unhappy - did you go to the BSPA to make these issues known? If not then why not? What you outline as a ‘moanfest’ is a lot more than that. Same goes to #amow. To me, you are back peddling like mad on this as a poster outlines above. Let’s hope the investigations ongoing flush out what has really happened. Appreciate you coming on here though

I think any meeting in which Poole lose is an excellent meeting.

Is this a fact or an opinion I ask because I think I have seen statements before (maybe even from Steve Hone, who has posted here) that at least the Star didn't want new ideas or angles etc.... Seems a few points have cropped up. No 1 is he under age and is getting some big advantage he really shouldn't be getting? His father could be held responsible for putting the lad in this position he really shouldn't be in if a pass should only be issued to 18 year olds or over The other thing that bugs me, just on the surface as I don't know all the details, is why the fuss about him and nowt about the young woman at Berwick ? And tbh I get fed up quite quickly with all these strange pics with HD or the dark framing around the edges or taking pics from ground level.......

The reason the speedway media and elsewhere go for his photos is that he does different; different angles, different viewpoints -- brings a whole new thought process to the job. Some of the old toggers have been churning out the same old, same old, same old shots for years. Boring - might as well take photos from the files. They are being shown up for their lack of drive/initiative and don't like it.

My own comment on Facebook. ''When in Glasgow for the Scottish derby, I asked Taylor what it was all about. To his extreme credit he didnt want to comment. I admire that. I suppose professionals can find a fault or two, even nit picking. But then again, who is at the top of their chosen profession at 17? Absolutely no one. Keep on snapping Taylor Lanning Photography. Let your camera do the talking'' I have been collecting speedway photos all of my life, from the late 50's right through to today. Obviously Poole in particular. I am not interested in the technical details. All I know is that if I like it, I will buy it,simple as that. However, this is making me think twice about buying others photos.

A brilliant speedway track and a stadium right up there with the best in terms of viewing. I'm just so damned angry about all of this. Town have been in the rugby league wilderness for years now while the Reds are further away from the football league than ever. The Council owe it to the Comets to get seriously involved in helping any initiative to make a comeback wherever that maybe and not sit on their hands in resignation of the situation. A visit to Redcar's South Tees Motorsport Park would aptly demonstrate to them just what a bit of support and ambition can achieve at not huge cost ! I wonder if the Reds will have to pay rent to their rugby league landlords and be denied any profit from bar takings like the speedway had to financially endure ?

It most certainly was tops, and a fair track for all......memories are all we are left with....very sad and surely painful for all speedway fans who saw the place in full flight.
