Absolutely love Peterborough ~ the track, the racing, the music, just everything. Also love my dogs who are so good and go to sleep while the match is on. My cars not bad either as it's almost 18 years old and can still belt along at 70......I mean 60........when there aren't any speed limits on the A47. If anyone is feeling a bit depressed with Speedway take a trip to Peterborough.

Hopefully we get the chance to finish the job now , after securing a wonderful draw in Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago . Connor Coles continues to guest at number 6 as new signing, Connor Bailey , is waiting on his machinery arriving from down under . Sheffield should be at full strength so we cant afford to be complacent as there are one or two in their side who enjoy it round Ashfield . The Sheffield fan's new favourite Scottish referee will once again preside over the action in what should be another entertaining encounter at the premier Scottish venue .

Don't know how long Cookie has signed for but given it's another of Chapman's teams one of them must have backed down on the sponsorship on kevlars and bike cover issue. Or given past events (ie Harris's 'move' to Ippo) it's been a big game alll along with Chapman waiting to see which of his teams needed strengthening? Got to have sympathy for Panthers' fans they way they have been messed about.

Does this rule still exist in the regulations? I ask because it seems List is being reintroduced at Scunthorpe. Surely the two men at the top won’t be bending the rules to suit their clubs.....

Just move him to another Buster track. Seems the way to do things this year!

I think Swindon missed a trick .Zach should have been put in heat 13 and Perks in 14 .Perks had a great chance of picking up a point in 14 while Zach had none .Would have put Ellis in 15 as well .

A turnstile needs staff though so it's easy to see the solution but doesn't seem to be so easy to provide the answer given that volunteers are in short supply, as the taped off stand sections indicate. Fair point about the stand seats, been like that for a good few seasons now. They were actually quite clean yesterday considering that we'd had a Thursday meeting. If you attend at other times then bring your Mr Sheen and a rag. I guess that the EoES kept it clean generally in days gone by but only bother now for the very few major events that they have on now. It's no doubt another responsibility delegated to the user, i.e us, that's low priority, if any priority at all? Music's always subjective isn't it. As long as it's not something with thumping base or pertaining to rap then I'm not too fussed. I never heard any of those tunes yesterday which is unusual, I must have been enjoying myself

This needs to be addressed ASAP as neither team came out with any credit for yesterday’s ineptitudes. Get it sorted for the sake of British Speedway - it’s a basic requirement to have a decent track to race on!!

Im not 100% certain Baggy and even if it did there was always the 'permission of the MC' caveat built in To be fair given the fact that Riss is currently injured rather than simply being dropped could be grounds for agreement anyway Id much rather Riss joins the Witches mind

With a full redeclaration you would need special dispensation if you wish to reintroduce Riss I wonder if you would get that?......

Sadly the days of attending Saturday night speedway and hearing at your chosen meeting the results from the likes of Canterbury, Rayleigh, Berwick, Workington, Coventry, Bradford etc. is be a distant but pleasant part of the history of speedway. In the current climate it will not ever happen particularly as the obsession with league racing to the detriment of individual meetings and challenge matches means that the choice of race meetings is limited and the new talent will not get the opportunity that riders had previously with the second half of a meeting. Sad to say but today supporters do not want anything less than league racing and that is one of the reasons why the up and coming riders are taking so long to come through the ranks. You cannot turn back time but some lessons could be learnt from the past if the sport is to go forward.
