It might handicap them, but it won't bankrupt them. Expensive foreign imports nearly put the club out of business in its EL days. If it wasn't for Bob Dugard the club wouldn't be alive today.

I think the “track issues” at Poole should drop off the agenda now that Poole has: 1/ Taken remedial action. 2/ Are using a Bar Grader instead of the cow plop blade. 3/ Had the the track standard “audited” by an independent “expert”.

Criminal is the word i would use esp when u think it was left alone when not used between 1987 -1999, town board have alot to answer for, but as have said before hit them where it hurts in the pocket dont go to town games go to haven instead.

Maths not your strong point? Max points Poole could have scored was 7pts. We only got 3 at Ipswich! So the score is Poole 6pts from 7, Ipswich 1pts from 7.

neil basically done the track as normal ray, however following the referees report from the last home meeting complaints from two riders were followed up,the head honcho was going to be at poole but he sent his deputy who arrived wed, thought the track was good, he was there all day thurs observing and monitoring track prep, apparently he was more than pleased and gave track staff and track a big thumbs up,so well done to neil and the team

There seemed to be an increase in the numbers watching the meeting, I expect it to rise again against Belle Vue next week.

I would keep Ben Barker, might not be as good as Jason at the EWR but I think he is probably better on the away tracks. If Scunny are going to reach the play offs they are going to need to win away at least once more, Berwick and Birmingham are the best chances both tracks Barker would be handy at.

The biggest improvement that I can see (post the major rework) is that the track staff have retired “the blade” and are now using a bar grader. Long may that continue.

The guest question has been mulled over by people more knowledgeable than us ever since league speedway came into being . How do you replace an unavailable rider who has lost only one heat on home shale all season . You cant , it would be like Belle Vue trying to replace Ivan Mauger in 1969 . The mere nature of our sport means the guest facility in this sort of instance is better than any other answer .

To be fair, it's one of those things that can happen in speedway. Riders get injured. Kurtz has a 2019 average of 8.00 from 8 meetings. 5 away for an average of 7.33 3 at home for an average of 9.23

Lets be honest. If Poole went to Cradley( no disrespect), you would say your up against it.... I know" Top of the league Baby"

EF while leading heat 8 for Cam so he couldve had 2 wins in his first 3 heats. Not a situation that would normally see a rider removed from ride 4 surely

As well as moaning we like to queue,,,, Normally moaning about the queues we are in

Obviously not so much monday night itself, but longer term having a big crash like that and all his injuries holding up can only fill the lad with confidence, which should allow him to attack the track that extra 2 or 3 percent harder. Which makes all the difference at the top level. Seems genuinely likeable and humble young man every time I ve seen him speak as well.
