Possibly the best thing to come out of last night. The two need each other. The supporters club do a great job of raising funds and if this can be used to help the future of the club then all the better.

Time to put things into perspective surely? Speedway is a dangerous sport. If you are going to ride a bike with no brakes at high speed, there will sooner or later be injuries. In this case there seems to have been a serious one. So the meeting is abandoned. So what is the worst thing that can happen to a supporter? Your night is inconvenienced. In this case, you get free entry into another meeting later on in the season. Compare that to the rider in hospital. I'm sure if you wanted to check, you would find examples of rugby, football and other sports where matched have been abandoned because of a serious injury. I would be pretty sure the fans wouldn't be saying that they wouldn't be going back to another match because of it. If you want to watch a dangerous sport, you have to be prepared to put up with the risks involved.

Full details on other channels but, briefly, Supporters' Club are backing and running the club's new 5-1 Draw. 120 numbers, £10 a month, monthly draw £500 first prize, £100 second and £600 to the club. Then they presented the club with a cheque for £1,000. Brilliant stuff.

They can just use VPN's and the like sadly. Some of you just constantly feed it so it comes back for more and more. Just simply put on ignore and after total silence it will eventually get bored and go hassle elsewhere...

I've had my eyes on Madsen for the last few years and we all have seen him beating these same GP riders in the leagues. So why did most of us think, including myself, that he wouldn't be doing this well in the series? Also, has anyone seen anything like Freddies move to miss Dudek? An amazing reaction in a split second.....could have been nasty!

Eagles look stronger with Morris in for Kennett, could easily go their way.

If following the model at other clubs (not just speedway) it will be year-round, and people can have as many numbers as they like. Totally agree this is a great move by club and supporters. The supporters have proved their ability to raise funds in the past, and channeling this ability towards funding the continuation of speedway in Berwick is a terrific move. All power to the new effort - a big 5-1 for the Bandits!

Obviously having three meetings in as many days you can make a holiday out of it but giving the distance there was a decent turn out from Eastbourne. If only Berwick could get a southern tour together as in years gone by.

There is nothing "fantasy" about this comp- i can`t sleep at night worrying about the spread and profit/loss

Supporters are running a monthly draw on behalf of the club, £10 per number, the draw will take place during the last meeting of each month, if there is no meeting I`m guessing it will take place with the winners announced on club website, supporters Facebook page, club Facebook page. It was announced that the details will appear on the various media outlets over the next day or day or you will get your information then. Great to see the club and the supporters club working together.

Well this was an evening of 2 halfs... or should I say 1 half and 2 fifteenths. Oh how I wish I'd left after the first match as so many others did, which was pretty good, the result was in doubt until the very end, lions put on a fighting come back, Scott Nicholls is a joy to watch around BP and Glasgow pretty much threw it away on the last bend of the last lap in heat 14. So after the first match I was quite looking forward to watching the cubs in action, I've never seen NL racing before so was quite intrigued as to what the standard would be and Cradley, as a long established NL team, I thought was quite a draw. The Lions promotion had started an hour earlier, and again for the 2nd double header this season ran the first meeting at normal (a snails) pace, with no seeming urgency to get the match completed, no flexibility to do the track grades when there's a natural break, some heats not even being put on 2 minutes and a couple of long gaps between races even when there were no riders having 2 races on the trot. Then we were told that the 2nd meeting would start after a short break... 45 minutes later after a swarm of tractors had tried to polish the turd that is the BP track, and was down to the base again in places, the 2nd meeting started. Well if that is the standard of NL racing, you can keep it. Admittedly I only saw 2 races, but if CL racing is riders following the leader 20 yards apart you can double it for NL. The quality of it didn't seem as good as the old 6 heat style second half's clubs used to run back in the 80's/90's And then the final nail in the coffin, again for the 2nd time this season, at Leicester inadequate medical cover. I say the 2nd time but it's probably more as the promotion still clearly have learnt nothing from the Redcar match in terms of medical cover and it looks like they're still running with 1 ambulance. They've also learnt nothing from the Sheffield/Stoke double header in terms of the pace of a meeting. No doubt the usual people will be on here again saying, nothing could be done, the first match was run as fast as possible and that the medical cover is adequate. Does the person that actually runs the meeting live in the same time dimension as the rest of us? Do they not realise that a lot of people use the Tesco BL car park and there is a 4 hour limit? factor in a 15 minute walk to and from the arena, then a double header HAS to be run in under 3 and a half hours Max. It became quite clear after the snails pace first match and then the 45 minute interval that the 2nd meeting was never going to finish as soon as it eventually started, especially with the Cubs running R/R and as soon as I saw the ambulance come onto the track after the heat 3 crash I decided to leave. It was quite a sad thing to see fans again streaming out of the stadium during a meeting and it's not the first time I've seen this at Leicester. As far as double headers are concerned I will not be attending any more. For the second time this season the Lions fans have been forced to subsidise the cubs and both times the cubs match has not taken place and both times there were quite healthy crowds, many of whom will not return.

Madsen reminds me of Jan O. A small guy who seems to find grip where no one else can. I've bet on Zmarzlik to win, but from what I've seen this year Madsen's got to be favourite.

I'll be honest not sure of the rules for heat 15 but you could tell by the reactions afterwards that both Leon and Coty were well chuffed to have been in heat 15 and got a 5-1 out of it.

Not quite sure if I was at the same meeting as some on here as I thought much of the meeting was mostly poor with most races either from the gate or over by the end of the first lap on an ultra slick track. Berwick dominated throughout and were very worthy winners, sadly for Eastbourne only guest Nick Morris gave any real trouble to the home side, Kerr never really got going while Lawson started brightly but faded badly. Best wishes to NB Jacobsen on a speedy recovery from what looked a horrible accident.

Well and truly got out of jail with that win tonight ! Terrible performance from Ty Proctor tonight - looked way off the pace - worrying for the future unless he is riding injured or something? Mistake IMO to pull the impressive Ellis Perks out and tac sub Scotty in Ht 6 - should,ve targeted Palm Toft with tac sub ( Schlein or Douglas ) in Ht 7 in place of Joe Lawlor ... Impressed with Rasmus Jensen …. very lucky in Ht 14 after Sam Jensen fell whilst leading ,,,,,, Ryan out of his depth in Ht 15 albeit no matter ... Worried about Ty Proctor …..

To. Bigboaby and The Doctor.... both of you can stop the nonsense by simply ignoring each other. If either get a pm just delete without reading it. Why delete membership of this forum if you like being here just because another annoys you for a short while.... and that’s all it will be , a short while if you ignore each other. If you want a short answer to the above ......... grow up, the pair of you

Worth pointing out that the rugby team have moved out due to the high financial cost of playing at Odsal. Would Speedway be financially viable?

And your comment is about as dated as on old BBC computer as graphics come very low down in the success of the most played games in the world these days. This game is all about playability and enjoyment, graphics utterly irrelevant.

It's all very reminiscent of the debates about the Big Five in the old days. It was generally reckoned that the most gifted and most talented.rider was Ronnie Moore and the most spectacular to watch was Peter Craven, but for sheer determination and the most successful were Ove Fundin and Barry Briggs, both of whom would figure in most people's top riders of all times above Moore and Craven. It is all a matter of opinion and there are no right or wrong answers and depends on what it is that is regarded as the true mark of the "best".

I think you will find that if the case was we wanted to beat the Gems that bad we would not have put Dave Pye in and instead got a guest of a higher caliber. Dave is not in our declared 3 man 500cc squad but Im very happy to use him as he has shown 100% commitment when asked to ride. We also had young Brandon Woblewski in who unfortunately his points don't count because of hi Polish passport. Would I have give him a ride if winning was everything ? Young Kyran Lyden would have taken the no 1 spot instead of Elliot Kelly but he didn't have a bike and as The Gems had already approached Ben to guest for Joe Alcock if Joe was unfit it seemed logical to get Ben a ride for the Cubs. If you would like me to go in to a few things that you have no idea about please feel free to PM me and I will happily discuss. Best Regards Gavin Parr ( Cubs team manager )

I think Josh Auty is better than Woffy and Lee .
