Well, if it is included, I hope there are no Poole riders invited, they struggle to complete 4 laps at Foxhall

Well the winter is a long time so I for one will be there to watch. It’s an official trophy so worth winning.

Many have described Poole as the Man Utd of Speedway. Now I get what they mean.

As a Lynn fan, I wanted Ippo to win. After toegate, I was on the edge of my seat, willing Ippo to win. Look at Sarg's ride on a very tricky track in the rain in HT 14. Got less skill, but bigger gonads than Holder and Kurtz put together. Shades of Holdergate at Lynn...

You should congratulate them Starman. They won fair and square. No arguments there. It was our performance or non performance that cost.

What a complete and utter farce Speedway is ! Weather rains off tonight's meeting at Monmore, so Swindon straight away lose the second leg home advantage that they have worked for all season ! Absolutely ludicrous, and typical of the amateurish way the sport is run in this country, no wonder the papers and television don't take it seriously !

We showed you how to do it. Learn from the masters.

All sport is meaningless, but usually fun. I just enjoy a night out at the speedway, but I suppose others must put themselves and others off just to look clever.

and maybe it means I (a non fan) know more about speedway outside of Dorset than he does

You weren’t in bad form at the end of the season. You finished in style winning at Kings Lynn (no other team had) and topped the table under huge pressure from the most in form team Swindon, Poole were very much in decent form. It’s just 4 riders let you down when it mattered.

CHRIS HOLDER - in a Buster owned team - I THINK NOT!!!!

Swindon had the right idea by picking us if they finished top financialy

it isnt getting beat by this years"cannonfodder"as you put it that would dent the market value its the fact that only 1000 turned up to watch the home leg that dents value.i know he wont take satisfaction from it but skidder did predict selecting ipswich was "financial suicide",forget the trophy had to reach the final to balance the books.Everthing went our way in the play-offs last season, well beaten this y,r thats sport, congratulatilons to the ipswich riders

Not surprising getting beat by this years #cannonfolder over two legs is sure to put a big dent in your market value

Poole are a poor side end of, living off past glories you mocked me months ago when i said you were the weakest out of the four team's left.Ipswich regrouped stopped there poor run of results and brought in Iversen/ Sarjeant Poole kept with Wells and brought Johansson in tells you everything. It would be best if Ford moves along but what has he got to sell???? the promotional rights and an old tractor can't see anybody else taking over anytime soon.

I came through monsoon rain at The Forge, when I came to the Royal Infirmary it was dry from there to Ashfield. It was two hours before start time and the track staff were working on the track, I was very surprised to find it was off with a clear sky. O.K. I was at the track and it may have been different if I had arrived an hour later to find it off but I don't think enough time was given to allow work to be done on the track. I've heard that there was no consultation between the referee, riders or staff, if true that is shocking.

Well we can't call it Holdergate can we? We've already had one of those. How about Toegate?

I used to think shovvy was the most disliked person on here and that Starry was just a complete idiot, having read all the rubbish, I've changed my mind, starry is still a complete idiot, and probably the most disliked, a total clown, absolute buffoon, a monumental codpiece.

Personally don’t think the shower hit Ashfield, we came through it at Euro central ,the streets in Possil were bone dry and no puddles in road when we arrived at 6.10.and blue sky.Bottom line though match was off.Hey Ho, nothing new these days.

When Holder pulled out with a sore toe I couldnt help but think about Harris getting run over at Wimborne Road and running back to the pits to win the re run. Compare the commitment

Thats true theres no chance if Busters still in control, i missed out a line should of said if Peterborough get a new owner then maybe someone like Chris Holder,

I actually believe that there should be a league winners shield like in Rugby League, everyone will know that the Play Offs decide the champions but a bit of recognition for being the best team over the league programme would be appropriate IMO. Along with a bit of celebrating. Maybe it did spur Poole on a bit but I believe Lynn would have won the final comfortably if it wasn’t for those two injuries. Their name was definitely on it last year.

People do think that things like this are morbid, and those of us who retain an interest in stuff like that are crazy, or even damaged. However, you describe it perfectly with the word "compelling", and as horrific as it was, there is something very fascinating and compelling about it. The one place I want to visit before I die is Auschwitz. I know it will be an incredibly emotional and harrowing experience, but it is what I wish to experience. Back to the book, and I agree wholeheartedly about the language used. I am not a prude by any means, but I don't understand the "need" for such language in modern books. Steve
