think theyre looking for a young aussie who can "double-up",that is doubling up as a painter and decorator at the chateaux on non racedays!

So is the mystery over? Poole up to silly games before season started; Newcastle acted with great integrity and Eastbourne once they knew what had been done played a straight bat and tried not to spill the beans, forcing a statement from Poole to fess up??? Or is there another theory?

Must think we are all complete mugs !!!!!!

And there you have it: complete nonsense.

Indeed. This incedent ended Billy's meeting and season there and then. There is still some doubt, however, whether Billy broke his wrist in the resulting crash or on Finn's head when they exchanged notes in the pits afterwards .....

The story going round when he first rode for Poole was, He rode in a Grasstrack meeting in the afternoon and came off, landing in a cowpat....He then rode a Speedway meeting in the evening wearing the same unwashed leathers....hence the name “Smelly Smith”

I take my hat off to people who can remember what happened on the 3rd bend between riders at Cradley in 1964, I cannot even remember what I had for tea.

Not that I agree with it, it is sort of sensible. So now that it's ok to do it, come on guys, start thinking about who you want to meet in next season's cup and, the 'draw' can be arranged early.

How about anyone having their first three matches for £10 a time? That might attract new fans, former fans, friends and girlfriends who then get the bug sufficiently to pay £16 for the rest of the season.

So I'm kind of, in a roundabout way, sort of more or less correct

Nah, all the decorating should be finished by the time the season starts.

Saw him back end of last season and couldn't believe the timber he has put on. I used to follow his progress a few years ago, when he first came on the scene, and I had great hopes for him as he had a nice style and seemed to be well looked after. Still a decent rider but now at his level.

Chapman's my way or the high way stance is the problem here.

Teletext? Did the two days between the press (and probably all of the teams) getting the fixture list, and the date of agreed publication for all - press, BSPA, teams websites/social media resources - make a big difference to you?

https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2020-01-27/new-for-2020-emtvlive great news, this was trialed last season and thankfully the bspa have given it they’re full backing. great for people that live too far away to support their side to still watch their side in action. Also for away fans who can’t make the trip north who can still watch their sides also. extra revenue stream as well which in this sport is a positive. Well done to all involved.

Easy mistake...I'm always getting my Poole Brown Ale mixed up with that other one.

in other words they've seen the public feeling regarding this and have decided to do something

Lidsey is far better than him now

The National League Colts admission has been £10 adults and free for under 18 since 2016. It has been an absolute bargain, quick look around can see last year Mildenhall were charging £13 last year and Kent were charging £15! So can't complain at an increase to £12 first increase in 4 years for National League with the best racing in the country and good facilities.

You cant just say one rider isnt as good as another as a basis for your argument. Is Kurtz as good as Doyle or Pedersen ...................no Is Kildemand as good as Batchelor or Holder..........no Your statement was that Belle Vue had easily the best top 5.....................they dont Of course Jordan Stewart isnt as good as the any of the Aces top 5................but thats not the discussion............. I would be confident after the first set of averages that Swindons top 5 will have a higher average than Belle Vues Belle Vue have a good solid 1-7 with no big names and without doubt the best number 6 in the league

I will have some of what you are smoking please Belle Vue top 5 combined averages 32.8 Sheffield top 5 - 34.59 Swindon top 5 - 36.02 And if Ipswich use there whole 7.93 left then they will have a top 5 of 33.87 By all means think that Belle Vue will do well..........but to say they have the top 5 by a country mile..........is a country mile out

I have not the slightest axe to grind. I know nothing about Kevin Jolly's ambitions. In fact, my knowledge of him belongs in the Years Gone By section. But if you're talking about who I think you are, the possibilities for a Kent co promoter to be involved in a relaunch of Rye House looks geographically possible at least.

This is called working with rather than against the media.
