Given the length of his introductory message on the link I think you may be right.

Spot on Barry bishop is I think the only man for the job, would be perfect. Would move the league forward.

So we’ll need a new man in charge and inevitably new ideas! If he can cope with the workload I think there’s only one man for the job. That is Barry Bishop! If that’s a conflict of interest then I think there’s another obvious appointment, if he has enough time on his hands: Connor Dugard!

Any rider coming in who didn't ride in CL last year would have a 1.6 x wouldn't they? based on PL average. Tungate would be on 10.54!!

So sorry to hear that. I became quite friendly with Len over the years. He was always a very happy and cheerful sort with a great sense of humour. I used to enjoy our little get-togethers. Still, one thing I suppose you can say was that he had a good innings and was still fit and with-it almost to the end. R.I.P., Lenny. You've earned it.

He's already said elsewhere that one of the management team banned him anyway and even if that wasn't the case then while the current Blue Badge situation continues he couldn't attend anyway. Therefore it's not logical to suddenly roll over so easily without a better reason than that given.

Yep good luck Jason nice to see Rob acted quickly to appoint a new manager at a time when he must have an awful lot on his plate... New owner new team new manager new web site new catering new roof on the office and a new floor too new track fence going in along with new drainage and some new track staff to boot... it's all taking shape... isn't It? No need for the doom and gloom "things can (and are) getting better" are they not? I'm sure there will be a million things on Rob's to do list and I hope he doesn't over stretch himself... sometimes New promoters want to change to much to quickly and they can miss some of the smaller more important points... All we need to do as fans is turn out in force to back the guy and show him that he made the right choice taking the Diamonds on... let's hope he can make a few Bob and build on what he inherited... which wasn't much to be fair to him... So again good luck to all the promotion here's hoping it works from day one... Regards THJ

Well that is somewhat surprising reading that Seth still has a year in school. My understanding was that he was coming over this year. Makes Jason’s decision even more intriguing actually, he’s upping sticks again well away from family to race. He must certainly be keen for this and makes it purely a racing decision rather than a family one. Good luck to him.

Pedersen has always used hard riding to get past riders ever since he made his UK debut in 98. Very good gater but also a terrific racer , whether that’s using force or not. Have seen him make some absolutely breath taking passes during his time.

Despite not being a GP rider Nicki had the 12th highest average in the Polish top flight last year. He is still one of the best riders in the world.

Sadly i fear Pipe can see the way the NL is heading and wisely took the chance to move on. The league does need to break away from the BSPA and be allowed to function for the benefit of all clubs and the riders within. Never agree with age limits though, being good enough is all that matters and is all that is required to drive the standard up.

I've been on forums for best part of 20 years with Neil though i dont know him personally, so i wouldnt normally have thought along those lines.. However, it stinks of that big time imo. Edit - just seen that Neil is already banned.. still stinks tho.

Not sure why Aspgren never came back, as he was quality. Presumably as you say flights and costs etc. What about Bellego? Absolute mustard at the OTA, there is few better!

I'm sure some would say he's been told 'Pull it or you're banned', though we'll deny saying that....... I'm not saying I say that, but some would.......

I think it is fantastic news we have Crump back and I think he can score a lot of points also he will be invaluable in the pits and will help the younger ones.

This meeting may have to be put back until March 2021 in order for Peterborough to complete there team building. They are in talks via carrier pidgeons with various riders as it cheaper than using the phone.

I think it's great that Crump is back. Ok, he and Nicki may not be the riders they were but these guys have an aura about them which no other rider here - with the possible exception of Doyle - has. Their signings will surely improve crowd levels at Ipswich and Sheffield, and hopefully at away tracks when they visit..I'll certainly be paying a visit to both tracks this year for the first time in yonks.

It was different if you were there. Norden is (or was) a remarkable situation. A half-decent, large if open stadium but stuck in a field (complete with cow pats) in a remote part of a remote town in the far north west of Germany. As others have said, most supporters had to stay miles away in a different country. As I got out of the car on arriving, just avoiding a fresh 'wilkommen in Deutschland" gift from an incontinent cow I could only think. "Two years ago we were at Wembley, Now this. How low can the sport be dragged?" By later German standards this was sadly a high point for them, bar Munich. As for the meeting it was clear that the whole thing had been set up for a Muller victory. The track was perfect for him and suddenly a man who had done little to enhance his speedway, as opposed to long track reputation outside his own country was cruising to victory. It felt false and an insult to the World Championship. I felt cheated. Wembley, Malmo, Gothenburg, Katowice, The LA Coliseum and this - let down totally by the Germans who got what they wanted - a world final of their own, fitting their own Sunday afternoon amateur sport standards and featuring their own winner.. Yes Egon was a superstar at long track, but at speedway his reputation internationally was lower than poor old Szczakiel, the man found guilty of being the 'wrong' world champion.... (This by the way from someone who enjoys his journeys to Germany - just not for speedway...)
