Well if referees were quicker with the 2 mins and riders had to be at the gate and ready to start in that time, start marshal's were 'empowered' to be more strict with riders ignoring them when called in to start and riders anticipating that start did not lead to a re-start with re-fuelling, etc.. then curfews would become academic as a meeting would be run in the vast majority of cases well within the two hours... Also hi Bob haven't seen you for years!

I would tend to agree with this scenario as probable issues with Klindt & possibly others flying in & out of the country on higher than normal air fares plus the covid restrictions could mean places become available in the Premiership.

The toilet situation is certainly relevant at Monmore Green I'd imagine alternative facilties will need to be provided

Go on surprise me “Trees” ..... soap is now available in the toilets at Saddlebow Road.....and there is more than one entrance to the race bowl from the field used as a car park ?

Of all the many problems with British speedway time wasting would be top of most fans list and it's easy to sort out

There's one with Ole Olsen around the same time, too, where you can literally see him waving a couple of Danes past on the last lap.

You haven't been to speedway for a few years have you?

Talking of shortened tracks, I asked former Brummies promoter Joe Thurley back in 2007 why the old Ladbroke Stadium, Perry Barr track was shortened from 350 yards to 330 in 1974. His reply was that it wasn't shortened, they'd just measured it properly!

Yea as far as I'm aware, I'm on bt broadband only and watch Moto GP and speedway gp thro the bt app on my tablet, just need to put your bt login details, the same ones as for getting your bill online

Ellis Perks has suddenly become very much in demand and it looks like his mind may be changed about riding again. However the current favourites to sign him appear to be a more Northern team than Redcar as they have a major sponsor prepared to finance the deal and cost of equipment and they would be saving more over the year not paying airfares for an overseas rider

I'm with bt broadband but cancelled the sport because it went up from £6 to £10. I watched it thru the sky platform but I've also cancelled sky now. However, I'm still with bt for my broadband so can I watch it on my Amazon fire or a lap top thru an app?

Bt phone/broadband give you access to bt sport via an app, I watch it on my tablet, also saw an advert for by broadband at £24.99 which seams a good price

If you're current contract is coming to an end, the time now, is to do your research and then say to TalkTalk,, if you're happy with their service, as i'm a valued customer do me a deal, I'm pretty sure a lot of providers allow you to subscribe/unsubscribe to certain channels via the website

think there could be a couple of clubs changing riders before the season starts if there riders can’t make it over here

But you want him to pay above the odds to get a rider who said he wasn’t interested in coming over ? That would be a fine example for the Chairmen to set when he’s telling everybody else to cut costs.

It was Hickmott! You realise that was 41 years ago? That was when Johnsy scored 16+1 at Hyde Rd, and beat PC three times...

Have to agree. By far my favourite threads are those on years gone by, reminiscing/debating about favourite speedway eras (80s for me) and the great- and not so great- riders from those times.

needs a good pits staff to get things moving along and known times for track grading and intervals. At Birmingham we achieved that and ran a slick presentation , had 10 min interval time for the kids to come out and have activities , ran MSDL 6 heats plus 125cc demos after heat 2, 4 and 6 and even had time for practice if we finished before the 10pm curfew . Just needs organisation and the right people in the jobs .
