Brennan superb , I would agree Kemp has stalled if not gone backwards. Flint is progressing nicely in the Championship, come on a lot this year.

It's one of the best in the country, would be a bit silly to judge it on a wet night don't you think.

It was not an additional attraction because they did absolutely nothing to make it attractive!

Sheffield and Ipswich not riding so Batchelor given his scores at Monmore this season has to be worth a shot especially given his form at Kent

Matt Ford would've got away with heat 8 if he was team manager!

Well done to the Scorpions tonight. They We're clearly fired up for this meeting after losing at home to Leicester Lions a week ago and throwing away a lead at Kent on Tuesdsy. The rain clearly affected Poole and I was disappointed in the performance. Scunthorpe were quicker out of the starts and had more speed and importantly didn't let the conditions put them off. I have been lucky to have seen some cracking meetings at the Eddie Wright Raceway over the years unfortunately the late rain ruined that. You beat us fair and square but just a note of warning to some Scorpians fans. Don't think for one moment that Poole will ride as badly as this come the playoffs and next time if we do meet we won't make it easy for you. Anyway congratulations and good luck In the playoffs.

Riss really has gone backwards when it looked like he would go on to be a superb rider. Shame.

I never said Kasper Andersen was a bad choice just busk Jacob was a safer option, thankfully Kasper turn out to be good. One of the worst meetings I've seen at the EWR in terms of racing but what can you do when you get a down pour before the start of the meeting. I hope you can return in better weather to see what fine racing it can produce.

Cammi Browns position will be in danger with these legitimate well thought out permutations.

Oh dear, a lot of fair weather whingers on here. Weather in Scunthorpe was dry all day and 24c. Light spits and spots at around 6.30pm, track was looking good. Start was delayed due to lots of people sitting in their cars pondering to go or not into the stadium and heavy rain to the West- where the travelling fans were coming from. The track was heavy for first 4 heats and was drying out fast after that. It started raining again at heat 13, when match result was in no doubt. Heavy rain during and after heat 14, so match wound up. Basically one team wanted to race and other beaten before a wheel was turned. TJ was immaculate blasting around the track, Lambo great at reserve, a good guest In Kasper, and the rest all chipped in just where needed. Scunthorpe's ex captain Worrall and ex Scorpion Douglas kept us lively and the rest were pretty average. Your manager made a pratt of himself too!

How do you think Ipswich will do in the play offs?…..oh dear!!….

Superb meeting tonight, Plymouth's fast starting lower order meant Glasgow had to overhaul them which made it great to watch heat after heat. Ruml worked out how to ride the fast line in ht14 and was gradually reeling in Nowak who had a superb debut, much more to come from him. The only down side was the referee letting the 2 minutes run out and riders still fannying about at the tapes a minute later. Its nonsense like that that ruins the sport and puts people off. Its 2 minutes for a reason.

people people people all sensible rules but your all missing the most important decision to be made this year so will the green helmet colour return lets face it its the only thing broken in uk speedway

As a neutral, seems that the weather ruined the entertainment. Wet track, and first away first home ( even more than usual) Seen a few meetings like that in my time after travelling hundreds of miles , losing , then long drive home. With p offs and KO cup finals in October the weather is ever more likely to ruin the entertainment. Poole had nothing to prove, already in p offs, Scunthorpe desperate for every point to keep p off chances alive. Probably the difference in the 2 sides attitude last night. Poole deserve a pat on the back for booking a decent gust in place of Schlein, to field a competitive team, when they could have just said stuff it and used r/r.

In all honesty I think Crump may of faired a bit better this year without the injuries. He wasnt going bad until he crashed out at Wolves (?). could be a bargain average next year but I would agree, it would be good to see him bow out in one piece.

I think it was hoped that qualifying would be an additional attraction. It turned out not to be. I hope we seen the last of it and the draw for meeting number reverts back to as was. I don’t know about Vojens but the only one so far with practice that I know of has been Malilla.

Thank you so much for your kind offer PP, very much appreciated. I got a good hotel deal in Sheffield for the Saturday night so I'll drive straight there. It also takes a bit off the drive on Sunday when the Monarchs are at Newcastle. Thanks again.

Nice to see both Edinburgh and Glasgow having a minutes applause for legendary promoter Ian Hoskins. Great to have Richie Back.

Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result is the definition of madness, its clear to most that the current structure and plan just isnt working.

I doubt anything is set in stone just yet but Plymouth may have jumped the gun on this one..

Thanks for the reply Vince. I know nothing about insurance for stuff like this. All in all it seems not too bad from what I’ve read bikes were recovered, tools worth £2K and £3K raised by fans.
