Poor Birmingham desperately need a number one. In fact I’d say their future and survival looks very bleak indeed without one. doesn’t seem right to me.

Yes don't think too much can be read in to those stats, riders develop at different stages in their career. Definitely a good prospect and a snip on his average.

A 17 year old who's world under 21 final performances are, for his age, better than: Zmarzlik Dudek Pawlicki Janowski Kubera Smektala ...should do ok

Always lively 'banter' on the terraces there, Steve! I could have been one of the fans you were having discussions with! Normally it was the Dons fans getting frustrated as the Witches were winning so easily! I enjoyed my visits to Plough Lane. In the 70's early 80's it was the polar opposite to Foxhall Heath. The stadium looked so smart. Always felt I should wipe my feet on entering! The racing was entertaining, good atmosphere on the steep terracing and I liked how compact and enclosed it was, again the total opposite to Foxhall. You could sense the history. Enjoyable as it was watching the customary tonking of the Dons back in 70's, I think the most fun was had though in the two seasons the Witches dropped down to the NL, 1989 and 90. The PA was always cranked up, Dave Lanning really got the crowd going and there were some superb meetings between the two teams. I think the Dons won them all! - but always tight. We would have a sweepstake amongst us as to which section of fence Moggo would take out first. Mind you, we did that everywhere...

I don't understand the negativity from many regarding the King's Lynn team. Both Lawson & Pickering have shown they can score well in the Prem. Although in Pickering's case he'll have to do it from a harder position after racing at no 4 last year. Kildemand got his 7.1 ave in a far weaker league, so should be looking at 7.5 minimum. Jorgensen, Kerr & Worrall have all shown they can get a 5.5/6.0 ave as second strings, so whoever is at reserve should be the best reserve in the league in my opinion. While Thomas may not be the strongest RS in the league, he's not far behind & had his best season yet in 2021, so is clearly on the rise.

Must be a great inspiration to have Crump in the pits in whatever capacity....great move by Oxford...they seem to be ticking all the boxes so far as set up goes! You have Crump and Nicholls .... we have Rogers and Auty My only disappointment is that race night is a Wednesday ? not the best night IMO.

We know that but the post I quoted suggested he was being paid a King's Ransom. Speedway seems to be full of people who allegedly know what everyone is and isn't being paid but they never, as my Old maths teacher would say, show their working out

ok, to save the forum becoming overrun did anyone go to speedway prior to 1948 or can that award go to Hyam and we can all be done with it?

Wrong again. The Belle Vue company directors are William Anthony Rice and Robin Simon Southwell. They're the people responsible for the club. But in more interesting matters, Blodorn looks like a decent signing. Good to see a young newcomer coming to British Speedway. He seems to be quite a prospect.

Personally think you are worrying other nothing with Kemp! Last time he was at Poole he beat Basso twice and Hume.

Kemp will do OK at reserve, but if the Cook’s don’t perform and improve,Kemp might find himself in Top 5.Pressure is on the Cook’s IMO.

My money is on Flint to really become a top rider (7.00+ average) this season. He's great around the bigger tracks, really full throttle with little fear.

Got to wish Oxford a successful season, but it seams to be an expensive side and team manager, hope the crowds come back to make it a success. Will try and make a trip down from deepest Cumbria

What a thread.... Have never read so much babyish bickering in all my life. Its embarrassing.

This thread just isn't interesting at all. Nothing to do with Poole speedway now, or what their team is going to be, or their plans for 2022. It's just a lot of people bickering and arguing, how boring. I feel sorry for any of the Poole fans who have an actual interest in their club.

Speedway Fans - we need to move forward not do the same old things also speedway fans - why did that club try something new surely a wee article on their website would have sufficed
