Agreed, the Plymouth riders attacked the track a lot more, none more so than Dan Gilkes who had a tremendous meeting up until the unfortunate accident, we were having good banter with a Plymouth supporter in front of us who turned out to be Dan Gilkes grandad who was with 2 lasses, obviously they were visibly upset rushing to the pits so not only best wishes to Dan Gilkes for a speedy recovery but to his family as well.

That's not how two ambulances work. If the paramedic is busy/has to go with the rider racing can't continue. The only solution is an extra paramedic but you're talking a lot of money

I think we should have more than enough to cover for him at home whilst he gets to grips with it but he is more important away as that is where the twin’s generally struggle at the moment.

You really are some kind of special stupid, your hatred of Godfrey won't cloud an inaccurate statement eh. There is medical cover at Scunthorpe but like all tracks they have to wait for a county ambulance, stabilise the patient etc... So Gilkes was put in the Scunthorpe ambulance with medical cover until he could be transferred, whilst waiting for the transfer there is no other medical cover and the racing has to wait.

Perhaps Roger has not been following the thread? Otherwise, I'm sure he'll have noted the irony of Mike's entire post.

Anyway back to last night's slaughter in the sunshine . It was as impressive performance as I've seen from the Tigers at Armadale , solid from 1 to 7 . The highlight being Danyon's win over Masters . Praise to the track too , it was as good and fair as I've seen it there 51-39 is normally quite a comprehensive away win , and it was , though it does actually flatter the Monarchs as they got the majority of their race wins once the meeting was over as a contest . None more so than Kye Thomsen's heat 14 win . He was well off the pace all night before popping out to win that race easily . Edinburgh's choice of waiting till heat 11 before putting a t/s in against Cook was quite baffling . But all in all it was a brilliant night for us on the third bend

Firstly, its not nice to see a mate get hurt like that, speedy recovery Dan mate - that was an awful crash. Fair play to the Gladiators, better team on the night won.. Great choice of guests by Plymouth management. Also, a quick thankyou to Ben Barker who came into Scorpions TV Media Center and had our first ever live on the spot interview

Our commentators do a brilliant job considering the budget we work to. They don't have abundance of data or someone keeping them informed. Just the track in front of them and a TV with the stream before it's transmitted.

Edinburgh if you’re wanting to be factually correct!

Rotten luck Plymouth losing Gilkes with a suspected broken arm. He has been excellent this season and I for one wish him a speedy recovery. Plymouth will certainly miss him on Tuesday and he will be irreplaceable. Get well soon.

He's well beyond stupid.... Every post he makes is designed to damage the credability of Scunthorpe Speedway.

They just cannot help themselves can they. So basically you could win your first 5 races score 20 points suffer an engine failure or get taken off and hurt in the semi and get awarded 9 GP points. It’s like the superheat, What plonkers keep thinking this crap up. How about some that will actually increase paying spectators like tracks that are set up for racing instead of trapping competitions.

Hi, can anyone tell me if the SGP 2 and 3 will be shown on Eurosport? Thanks

Dear BSPL, PLEASE let Matej Zagar ride for the Aces. As a Wolves fan my view is: if you don't I'm perilously close to not bother going to watch the Aces at Wolverhampton in a so called Premier League with bugger all teams in it and little to no credibility. Historically you as a management team have devalued the KOC to extinction, damn near finished Speedway as a team sport in the UK with no team variety, doubling up and excessive use of R/R. Stop shuffling the deck chairs on this sinking ship. In the 70's I went to over five meetings a week, now its getting closer to 5 a month! Have rules that will actually get spectators in!

It doesn't need to mention the league cup. The League Cup precedes the Premiership so changes can't be made until 25% of league fixtures are completed. It's not difficult to understand. Also Jake Allen is a declared rider whose 28 day contract is irrelevant as he WASN'T granted facility status. The rules the same if the League Cup Final happens after 75% of Premiership fixtures, team won't be allowed changes for that fixture either. It really isn't hard to understand at all
