Lol , found someone who believes what barker says

You really are still quite bitter about last years Play Off Final aren't you
  3. 3 points
Not at all.But sometimes you lose the will to get your point across, especially to the ones who don't want to accept it or indeed don't understand it.As the saying goes"there's none so blind as those who will not see".This certainly rings true here so there is no point going on.

Absolutely true!! But who is actually right and who is wrong? Posters have interpreted the same rules & regulations in different ways. The speedway governing body has sanctioned several things that surely must be within the rules as they meant them to be applied - or have they? Anyway, there's certainly a strong 'split' of opinion on whether they have or not. The only 'opinion' that counts in the end, though, is that of the speedway governing body. It won't stop the debate, but perhaps everyone from both sides of the argument should be lobbying for the rules and regulations to be worded in clear, straightforward and unambiguous English. And, anyone who might say they already are .... well, maybe that's case of 'none so blind' too?

To be honest, the issue of whether the regulations rule on this subject is rather academic. However, I think that riders who give up when they are last, are universally disliked by fans. I've took to putting CBA in my programmes (couldn't be *****). It's clear that the only way to cut out this habit of not racing to the flag is for team managers to kick a few behinds.

Of course there would be questions about the heat 15 selection. If they wanted to stop the so called keyboard warriors maybe they should have announced the reason over the tannoy

That surely isn’t even up for debate. World class riders that have been as loyal to British speedway as he has over the years are as rare as rocking horse sh!t.

Yes so correct. What this site does show is the amount of people in life who just want to moan. It was obvious that Doyle must have had a problem but those keyboard warriors just wanted to jump on Richie Hawkins without knowing any facts. I was very impressed with the team effort last night and shows we not a bad team when we have our full 1-7

Maybe the reasons that Doyle was not in heat 15 should be known before slagging of the team manager hey? You don’t mention that the switch made when Starke came in got us a 5-1. could easily have stuck with Rowe as he was doing OK.

Pearson looked quality in his first race at scunny and you can clearly see he got massive potential..I think he’ll do well nxt season as long as he can keep on top of his equipment and keep his place..if not ewr could be the place for him he seemed to like opening the throttle and not giving a rubbish who was around him..could be a winner in a couple of years and be a top rider..but others may disagree..I’m only going by what I seen that night before you all start

You would have thought the super team manager would have realised that.

You have got to remember the average age of the current supporters, they will have forgot the answers before they get to page 32.

Ditto...waiting patiently for Swindon to rise from the ashes after losing Somerset. All very sad.

I'm a Leszno fan,, am I not allowed to hope he puts as much effort in? Maybe I should have used the word hope instead of see,, but I know what I meant

Yes we got lucky with no Doyle in heat 15 but it’s more than I thought we would get. Will take a point all day long. Fricke as struggled early in season. Once he gets back to what he could we will be hard to beat anywhere. been impressed with Kurtz this year started the season very well

It’s become popular to jump on the bandwagon and stick the boot in on Hawkins at every given opportunity these days unfortunately and it’s getting a bit tiresome. “It was an amazing effort by Doyley to do four rides given that he has a perforated eardrum and is really under the weather. To put four rides in and get three wins was an amazing effort, it was a leader’s performance” There simply HAD to be an explanation and I’d have thought it was pretty obvious that it wasn’t because the manager tactically thought he had two better options. I certainly don’t agree with every decision he makes and I still don’t like the riding order seeing Riss at 2. But hearing him give his reasons for the riding order before the meeting it was hard to argue. King and Barker go back a long way and have ridden together many times in their Birmingham days and enjoy riding together, so after speaking to the riders he paired them up. Fair enough. Just then leaves one decision, Riss and Batch at 2 or 5.

The 'not trying to race' regulation is there for a specific reason and I don't think really intended for riders still in the race. I suppose they could theoretically be excluded from the race under that regulation, but what's to say they're not having engine issues of their own? So provided they complete the race within the time limit, it's reasonable to award the point.

Fair enough,,, but a poorly Doyle would still stand more chance,, only needed a second place,,, plus if he was in,,, no one would have moaned even if he ran a last

Poor from Fricke. Hopefully Blodorn will be better on his next visit to Foxhall. Thanks to Hawkins, Kurtz & Zagar for the league point. And hats of to Brennan.

Maybe it was the pits area that was rendered unsafe, don't want anyone tripping over them toys or slipping on the spilt milk?

Have you been to Plymouth to actually see the racing there first hand? I'm not a Plymouth supporter but went there for the very first time on Tues vs Poole. Hardly a 'toy track' when you see the breathtaking racing that it produces even tho it's small. Tracks are not about the size but how they are shaped to produce quality racing. I would say you need bigger balls to ride that track than say a Sheffield. The riders are closer together so if one rider comes off it's likely more will follow like dominoes. Toy track, nonsense!

Second half was cancelled due to the Berwick juniors not wanting to ride, nothing to do with the goings on in the pits. I did witness Newcastle fans shout abuse at all the Berwick riders and promotion, so if a couple Berwick guys gave some back, then fair game in my opinion, as it was the Newcastle fans that started the verbal abuse… as usual.
