I didn't see the comment in the light of 'I know something you don't'. I think it's fair for a rider to comment that there's others they'd be more concerned about on track without giving specific names. Are these things not linked though? As others have said, if it was a convicted felon going back into plumbing or mechanicing, no-one would care less. Speedway is neither important enough nor sufficiently in the public eye that there's any sort of reputational issue involved, and as much scumbag behaviour offends and appalls me, I think once you've done your time you should be able to resume a gainful working career unless the crime was related to your original employment (i.e. child abusers should never be allowed to work with children or vulnerable people).

Yip, I agree I've said to someone who pulled the old 'I have a reliable source so I am right but I wont tell you my source' sort of thing that if you arent willing to name the source then keep schtum. Its the same for this situation It was worth a cheeky attempt at trying to get the name though I didnt for a minute expect it to succeed though As an aside though, it concerns me a little that the drugs side of thing is what is being concentrated on rather than what he did to a vulnerable disabled elderly person in their own home. If you want to get over the narrow minded perception of some of speedway's image, Im not sure granting him his licence back is the way to go about it

The moment Glasgow got Vissing in for Flint I think Berwicks chances of getting the bonus point went up in smoke. We had a fair chance before that imo and I don’t think Sedgy will do a bad job at all, he was the best pick of what was available with Brennan away and Nicholls ultimately never takes Championship guest bookings. Vissing however makes Glasgow extremely strong, I do also wonder why they let him go and brought Leon in but only time will tell if it works out for them.

I couldn't possibly comment on the ineptitude of the Oxford team manager....

I think his opponents will question whether they will want to be in a race, on a lethal machine, with someone as mentally unstable as he is? brick laying, plumbing, etc etc etc.....are one thing....but, one of the most dangerous sports in the world is another!? Just saying.....

If Poland want you, you go to Poland. Do you want to work for £10 an hour, or £60 an hour tomorrow?

Not sure about that. Jordan I’m sure will come good but we’re still unbeaten with a under performing Jordan.

so oxford could have fielded riss and nicholls in ht14 because tungate had forfeited his 3 min rides but they messed up handing the meeting to ipswich

There was an interview with Peter Schroeck during the interval of the Cheetahs match last night and he was adamant Kerr wasn't being replaced. "He will be out for five weeks, and we'll use guests...with Scott Nicholls already agreed to take a few of those bookings"

One is in a wheelchair. One is in disgrace through drugs.

That seems bonkers. Losing a rider because of injury or whatever reason should inevitably make your team weaker, that is the reality of it. Unfortunately they have now created a scenario where not only are you no longer weaker but you are actually far stronger. When riding at home with no logical reason using maths and statistics, you can get a guest with a higher percentage average than the missing rider. We now even have a scenario at Oxford where they’ve sacked and replaced a rider in Klindt, for Riss whilst keeping an injured rider in the side. There is no way that the league should of accepted that redecoration and the use of guests like Nicholls now.

I really do hope he going to go on the straight and narrow now, not sticking up for him or justifying his crime in any way but he is not the first rider to attack and I use the term lightly another person and return to racing although the others may have escaped a prison sentence for their crime, anyway not sure how fans would react to him but in garrity’s world if anything can rehabilitate him it’s speedway, if that fails for him, I fear the worst

Surely the justice system is there to punish those who deserve it. Once they've served this aren't they then given the chance to resume their place in society or should they continue to be punished for the rest of their lives? (And please don't think I'm condoning his past actions)

It’s a shame that Emil isn’t in the GP’s,he is class and one of the few that could give Bartosz a real challenge over the season.
