If you click the black circle for the topic that you have unread posts in it goes to the first unread post (clicking the title just takes you to the first page)
  2. Don't like the new format

Every time things change there's always negativity. I'm finding it clumsy just now but give it a few weeks then just like the last change we will be used to it and when the next change comes along we will be wanting this one back!
  3. Testing

    Just being trying...
  4. Can't agree. The riders sign contracts to the end of October. The fact fixtures are a shambles is irrelevant. Riders going home before the end of October whilst their clubs still have meetings to complete have to accept 100% of the blame.
  5. I've missed something. Why is it interesting in the pits? Genuine question
  6. Isn't Saturday Glasgows night? Shouldnt Edinburgh be running their dance on the Friday?
  7. He accused BWD of deliberately causing Jack Smiths fall and injury and continued to imply over the next few days that BWD did this to other riders. It was pretty pathetic stuff to be honest and at least BWD rose above it. An initial outburst I can forgive, it's a high adrenalin sport, things get said in the heat of the moment but it just made Worrall look silly and pathetic and attempting to be a bully the way he carried on imo
  8. After Worralls comments on BWD after Jack Smiths accident earlier this week I'd kinda like to see BWD beating him in every race
  9. Is that a relatively new rule Neil? (Last 5 years or so). I only ask as it was done a few years back when Redcar appealed a heat result in a meeting against Glasgow and the rede larded result after the appeal was farcical as they updated the Redcar rider in second, not the Glasgow rider in third and gave a point to a rider who DNF
  10. I was just a couple of miles away this afternoon, rain was very heavy and for about 20 minutes around half 3 it was like a monsoon so not a surprise that it was called off
  11. Lack of NHS/ambulance cover on a Saturday night in Glasgow is always going to be an issue due to resources, or lack of them
  12. Seems at odds to what was said elsewhere with others saying it was Cook doing the decking. Did anyone who was there see it?
  13. Woo hoo! Brilliant! I'll get my curling gear....
  14. Holder Sacked

    Alice's sister?
  15. Glad you said that Paul. I'm just back in from a two hour walk in a t shirt and jeans and it was maybe a wee bit overcast but pretty hot and dry. Was shocked to see the speedway was off. A bit of premature stuff going on?
  16. But you've already implied they only thought that as it suited them score wise - that's manipulation a la wrestling Hopefully screm the damage will be minimal. If there is a 'best' time for this sort of shenanigans with limited damage its just before the British GP as it tends to buoy up supporters. Let's hope so anyway
  17. I get what you are saying Paul but surely that adds weight to the argument someone posted a day or two back that speedway is in danger of being viewed in the same way as wrestling as the result/outcome is being manipulated by team managers (or should we start calling them producers?) rather than 100% by the men on the bikes.
  18. Err.....think you might have just managed to upset both sets of fans with that wee faux pas OWO
  19. Presenters And Announcers

You seem to be thinking you can only have one extreme or the other. No one is saying that the person on the Mike should be given carte blanche to harm your business but nor should they be gagged to the extent that it becomes bland. Someone mentioned it not being done at football, that's not true. Glasgows Michael Max had a break from the presenting at Glasgow after issues over fines (I seem to recall there was also a presenter pulled up for supposedly announcing a race result when he said A is followed home by b and then c with d failing to finish.). Michael continued in his usual manner at Partick Thistle however. Outwith the old firm most of the football clubs announcers up here do battle usually through music and yes it adds to the event. I often took Chris Simpson the wrong way when he posted on here but as an announcer he was exactly what speedway needed and his year at Cardiff I reckon will never be surpassed. Especially with the current gagging culture Post is in reply to :-
  20. Whilst Glasgow could have (and should have imo) challenged poor fixture allocation in the past when they were the longest serving Sunday track and as such due priority, they haven't a leg to stand on now. When they took the choice to move to Saturday they became the newest Saturday track and as such are now rightly at the bottom of the pecking order. That's one of the decisions the promotion took moving to Saturday
  21. He will tyretrax - at every away ground he gets to this season
  22. Visiting Edinburgh & Glasgow

Lol been there many times, enjoy the visits when we come back with 3 points. Didn't say anything about the town, it's the football club I have a problem with. Will never forgive them and Stuart Gilmours for the 'just let them go out of business, it would do Scottish footballs favour' comments when we were working hard to save the club or the way they led the campaigns that stopped us getting promoted twice when we won the league. They campaigned against our ground share plans at Airdrie and Murrayfield (that was hysterical, apparently we couldn't ensure segregation there according to them) while our new stadium was built then backed Ict ground sharing at Aberdeen. Vile club. Raw nerve well and truly exposed lol
  23. Visiting Edinburgh & Glasgow

Is that the soft spot at the bottom of the forth mudflats? Lol. Having said that I'm gutted that Raith are going to finish below that Paisley lot, I really wanted them down
  24. Glasgow 2017

I dont know why Paul but I think there was one occassion before where Glasgow charged a £2 nominal entry. Maybe it was just a voluntary throw a couple of quid in a bucket or something but I have a feeling that it did happen before and people moaned
  25. Just out of interest, how is the benefit fund field drawn up? Are riders approached and asked to ride or do riders indicate their willingness to take part and then the field is decided from those who show willing?
