What League system do the fans want?

i would much rather watch Emil Sayfutdinov at NSS 3x per year than Scunthorpe and Plymouth tbh, so two leagues for me. If top league can go to 8 teams then thats good

    Premiership Media Day

i think his wife went into labour last night, so decent excuse

    Belle Vue 2023

Think this criticism of Hayley Bromley is way off the mark, I think she does an excellent job as presenter. Also women in speedway should be encouraged not mocked

    Belle Vue 2023

Good team that, I think Blodorn will blossom into third heat leader but Charles and Tom will be as strong as any other second string partnership in the league

    Sheffield Tigers 2023

if Flint and Thomas are RS, so then so should Brennan

    Attendances

Belle Vue average around 1500 with 2k for the bigger meetings, but can get as low as 1000 for televised, or KL matches

    GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE

I was surprised at the crowd size, the PC Memorial at BV got 1,000 more than that. With Bewley and Lambert et al would have expected more, but I don’t know what the capacity at Glasgow is?
  8. I was talking about Tom Brennan, he scored 20, thats pretty good
  9. Drew, like Jordan Palin, can flatter to deceive a bit, isnt at SoN standard at the moment, Flint has potential and needs to be trusted by the management. When he is back, Dan Gilkes also will be an impressive U21/U23 rider.
  10. I think they are being very harsh on him, he is one of the best U21 out there, its a disgrace he wasnt given a wild card for the U21 GP series
  11. Brennan second top scorer and if Kemp hadnt come off against the Aussies we could have had gate choice for the semi. Thought they looked very competitive
  12. Brennan 20 points, only Gusts did better, impressive! Vatch too loyal to Drew to be honest, Flint having a better season
  13. Basso is due a good one as well

    Peterborough v Belle Vue - 9th May

This part of May is also not a great month in terms of no holiday periods, coming off the back of a couple of bank holidays, and also TV. There was still over 1000 there in my view, not amazing but for a low crowd not disasterous

    Attendances

The last two bank holiday meetings were around 2000-2250 I think for Belle Vue
  16. Once Nordick gets dialled in and MZ arrives, BV will be fine.

    Attendances

BV probably slightly up on the Sheff match than last season and double last year's PC Memorial.
  18. Team GB would be strong if Dan B was included, with Brennan, Kemp and Palin (plus Gilkes as reserve) Not so strong without him, would need to bring Flint in

    Attendances

Belle Vue PC Memorial, around 2,900 Belle Vue v Sheffield, around 1,700
  20. the supporters trophy is supposed to be an early season competition and so they needed to rearrange it quickly, which to their credit they did, even if it was at the expense of some attendance due to Man U v Barca.

    Belle Vue 2019

that included a load of start up costs and paying some of the rider debts off from 2016. It did better last year and will probably get close to break even in 2019

    Fixed race nights... early indications!!!

I think there are some good ideas on this thread, especially Daniel Smith. There needs to be a top league and a second league, but the fixed race night has to include a Friday. Belle Vue and Somerset would be more viable on that night. Rye House and Leicester are never top league circuits, they don’t have the support, whilst Ipswich and Glasgow certainly do. Ipswich on a Thursday and Glasgow on a Friday would work. The fundamental problem though is a lack of UK riders to fill the teams, we need to generate more of them so we are less reliant on riders who will have competing continental fixtures, even the mid range ones. Watering down to one big league only means more and more teams racing to crowds of 500 as their support dwindles due to the lesser and lesser quality on show.
