    Peterborough Panthers 2015

GREAT START IN STORE PETERBOROUGH hope their new era will begin with a bang courtesy of the best of British. The new-look Readypower Panthers roar into action for the first time on Sunday, March 15 with a mouth-watering showdown against a Great Britain team. National chief Alun Rossiter will lead an all-Brit side into battle at the East of England Showground in what should be a terrific start to the 2015 season. And new Peterborough chief Ged Rathbone, who masterminded the clubs successful survival mission during the winter with long-serving co-promoter Trevor Swales, cannot wait. We are absolutely delighted that Rosco has agreed to put together a GB team to take on Panthers in our opening meeting, said Rathbone. We were determined to start the new season with a bang and we felt we needed to put on a spectacle which will capture the imagination of not just Peterborough fans, but speedway supporters in general. We certainly didnt want to go straight into competitive racing and I must admit that a Challenge clash against another Premier League team didnt really grab me either. Weve worked very hard to put on a big event and we are very much looking forward to a super Sunday to kick-start what will hopefully be a successful season. The exact start time of the afternoon meeting is still to be finalised. That, along with details on the riders involved in the Great Britian side, will be announced in due course The opening meeting will complete a hectic few days on the eve of the new campaign. Readypower Panthers will stage their annual Press & Practice session on Thursday, March 12 with a pre-season social evening pencilled in for the following night (Friday, March 13). http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2361.2

PANTHERS SEEK JANUARY SALES http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2354.2&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter PETERBOROUGH chief Ged Rathbone hopes demand for season tickets will remain high during the final weeks of sale. They are available for purchase until the end of January and generously priced at £300 for adults, £200 for concessions and £75 for children aged 12 to 16. A minimum of 18 home meetings meetings are guaranteed for season-ticket holders, but there could be considerably more if Panthers can progress in the League Cup and KO Cup competitions as well as making the Premier League play-offs. The deal also includes free parking and a free programme at each qualifying meeting. Rathbone, gearing up for his first season at the Panthers helm, said: We certainly havent put this team together to make the numbers up. We are very hopeful of a successful year and that could mean the supporters get a lot more meetings for their money if buying a season ticket. The response so far has been very pleasing and were hopeful of plenty more sales during this month. Panthers are also offering a new VIP season ticket priced at £600 with a host of extra benefits including weekly use of a hospitality suite, visits to the centre green and the opportunity to meet and greet the clubs riders. Season tickets can be purchased by completing the PDF form as instructed. General admission prices for the 2015 season have been frozen at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for children aged 12 to 16.

I was told that rule did not apply to fast track riders and that PL would get priority.

The problem is last year there were so many they ran out of excuses. I remember Ales missed the weekend northern tour because he got too close to the fence at Peterborough.

It was embarrassing last year and turning up at Scunthorpe to find Fisher missing was the last straw for me. I decided that I would not go to another match where riders were missing, unless it was injury related. I support Peterborough and want to see my riders when I pay my money, not a select team of guests.

From their Facebook page: Industry Racing has postponed the Monster Energy World Speedway Invitational AMA/FIM race that was tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2015. We are currently in talks to push the event to December 2015.

    Where Next For Oliver Allen?

That is not funny and completely out of order.

Thanks for clarifying this. Good to know we will have priority over Lewis and Simon. Just hope now that Robert won't miss too many matches.

If Lambert is a Lynn asset then Leicester have priority thanks to a change in the rules. The question is whether Blackbird is an Ipswich or Mildenhall. If it's Ipswich then Panthers get priority but if it's Mildenhall know one knows who gets priority!

There is a rule change for 2015. The team that owns the rider get priority. If neither team own the rider then the the team that is in the same league as the owning team get priority.

So Leicester have priority for Simon and Lynn with Robert when there are fixture clashes. Great. I hope this is not another year of seeing a patched up Panthers every week.

Anybody confirm who these are assets of? Just trying to see the impact on new double up rule changes. Lewis - Ipswich? Rob Lambert - Lynn? Simon Lambert -?

So when Lambert is missing his rider replacement will be covered by Ully, Lewis,Roynon and a weak reserve. Not sure about that. Good top 5 I agree but wouldn't have gone with two weak reserves.

    Peterborough Panthers 2015

No because that would be 8 riders I seriously hope not, would ruin a good start to team building. Would prefer strength in depth to cover Lambert who is likely to miss meetings. I like the idea of Kurtz, Klindt + 3 pointer and keep Roynon at reserve. I never, ever want to see Dilger again. He is woeful and one of the worst riders I have ever had the misfortune is seeing at Peterborough.

    Peterborough Panthers 2015

Not entirely true as season ticket sales were up on previous years. http://m.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/speedway-news/panthers-bosses-can-t-thank-the-fans-enough-1-5918957 Problem is they were too cheap and part of the reason we hit financial problems before the season was out.
