  1. I wouldn't have thought that they can't legally stop you from taking in anything that is available inside the stadium. i know the cinemas don't like it, and have tried to stop me, but I always make a fuss. The answer is to stop ripping people off, and make the prices for all items the same as outside the stadium. An idea for those who want to take in airhorns. Shove them up your bums, because that's where they will end up if I get blasted by one.
  2. And then you go on to make statements that are opinion only, and a final one that is as outrageous as the decision itself. F*** knows what you were watching.
  3. The problems arise over exclusions, because the rules allow different enterpretations for different individuals, a major problem if you are a referee, presiding over a GP. Those who were commentating and in the studio, were unanamous in their opinions that AJ was hard done by, yet, there are still those who believe they know better, using the same old cliches to back up their rantings. Yes, Gollob was in front at the point of collision, but he got there at a rediculous speed to enter a corner, and was turning left at the same time as the leader of the race, who was yards in front of him. We all know of Gollobs ruthless streak, and it was evident this was a fine example of it, and he only got away with it because we had a Polish referee, who hadn't got the bollox to do the right thing, and the final outcome was a winner who didn't deserve it. I don't know why we have a rule, that states a rider has to be excluded, especially when, as was last night, it is possible that this was just a racing incident, and no rider was at fault. The combination of crap referees and rules that allow them to make outrageous decisions, will ruin the series. At least do what they do in boxing, and have 3 adjudicators over such decisions, so we don't get this blatent favouritism.
  4. Emil Sayfutdinov as captain for my team please. Thank you.
  5. A decent effort with the pre meeting entertainment, wouldn't go amiss this year. Are they so ignorant, they can't see that is why the stadium is half empty until 5 minutes before tapes up. Amateurs.
  6. Why do we need the mods? I don't see why or how their interference is affecting the running of this competition. All the teams have been submitted, new captains nominated, and scores collated after each round. What's the problem? And why are we still waiting for the updated scores after round 2?
  7. 4.Greg Hancock £45,000 3. Emil Sayfutdinov £50,000 6. Nicki Pedersen £45,000 13. Jaroslaw Hampel £25,000 15. Tai Woffinden £25,000 Pedersen my captain for round 2 please.
  8. So far, this meeting beats any from all of 2009. Brilliant stuff.
  9. Still good enough for the thousands of your countrymen and women, who have come over to do all the rubbish jobs we don't want to do, just like the Chinese in your country really.
  10. I'm not an expert, but I know when I've been entertained or not. Isn't that what it's all about? If Crump et al want to get some early experience of slick tracks, do it at another venue in private, not at a meeting where 4000 people have paid to be entertained. Yet another suck up merchant.
  11. , So, the weather being nice, the track getting watered regularly and the fact that it was a good cause, was enough for you? The main reason we all went was to support a great cause, but, am I the only one who wanted to see some exciting racing too? I think a lot of people are frightened to criticise the meeting because of peer pressure. It was, IMO, easily one of the worst meetings I have ever attended, so much so, that I doubt very much whether I will ever attend an individual event again, barring Cardiff of course, but that is a different experience altogether. No wonder the promoters in this country don't listen to the fans. Why would they, when most display this pathetic, arse licking attitude.

    Nameless Gp's Still!

33 posts on the naming of a GP? beats the thread from a while back about favourite crisp flavours. And some say that speedway isn't a nerdy sport.
  13. Well, that's exactly my point. The fans are wheeling out the excuses yet again, as to why we had to suffer another poor meeting. I would imagine that the insiders know exactly what we are going to get, yet, once again, they hold a meeting at the wrong time of the year, advertise it like it's the second coming, and that is the result. Yeah, sure it's for a good cause blah blah blah, but I'm sick of the excuses as to why a meeting was poor, as opposed to actually giving the punters what they pay for, and put right all the things that are humanly possible that make for a good meeting. Jeez, it's not like they haven't done it before. faux pas of the meeting? You calling Tai, Rob Woffinden. Give it up, old fella.
  14. It seems that a lot of folk attended yesterdays meeting didn't expect to be entertained, and are quite happy with a couple of passes out of 22 heats of racing. Not me. I would quite happily put my £15 quid in an envelope and sent it to the fund managers, if I'd known what we were going to get. I must have imagined the adverts in the Star that got our juices flowing about the class field. What they should have said was; " first meeting of the year teething problems, riders a bit rusty and still to dial their bikes in after a long winter, track my be a little devoid of dirt, but come along anyway, give us your £15 quid, it is for a good cause after all, but don't expect anything special". No, the fans were properly mugged yesterday, and if they wheel out the same excuses each year, then hold it in the middle of the season, so we get the best entertainment possible.
  15. Check out the heat times. Usually, 57 - 59 seconds for 4 laps in the PL, 59 - 60+ in the NL. We had the cream of the speedway world at Rye today, and they were putting NL times. I think that tells you something about the track. Oh, and the new silencers work. When our mascot came out for a couple of laps, his bike sounded no different to the 500s. It's not the same, but needs must I suppose, for out sport to go forward.
