  1. Dunno about that but he's apparently stopping with Andersen for a while in Peterborough
  2. Oh yeah I stand corrected, posted a whole four hours ago, minus the last para on the Panthers web site.
  3. Nope I think you're wrong especially the bit "Nicolai has also accepted an invitation from the Peterborough Management to ride in the Panthers Press & Practice day on Wednesday 7th March" and I certainly haven't seen it anywhere before today about him riding in double J's testimonial.
  4. http://www.peterboroughspeedway.net/news.php?extend.210
  5. Don't think Loram opted out, think he was caught up in some red tape. If I'm paying money to watch a GP I want to see a rider who is good, not one who is there because he "deserves" it.
  6. Didn't realise PK had become British. But Loram is miles better than any other Brit currently on offer.
  7. I don't think Harris is good enough. On the basis that there has to be two Brits, Mark Loram should replace Lee Richardson in my opinion.
  8. Heat 16 is looking a bit tasty.
  9. To be honest he would be slaughtered in every GP, he wouldn't be doing himself any favours.
  10. This comment made me laugh - "Andersen way ahead, Howe way behind, the others somewhere in the middle."
  11. Not at all, I called it 50/50 could have gone either way and thought that Pedersen going down in the first attempt probably sub-consciously swayed the refs thinking.
  12. Spot on Lupus and Kelvin Tatum's almost xenophobic dislike of Danes and Andersen in particular just adds fuel to the situation. In Italy everyone agreed Nicholls was lucky not to be excluded, this time almost exactly the same incident, the ref saw different and we're up in arms. To say Andersen baled out is ridiculous he was clearly bumped a number of times. Chris Harris and Nicki Pedersen, now that is baleing out. Didn't we have pages about the "shocking" language from Andersen in the SWC, I don't see pages about Nicholls "shocking" langauge - because by and large we are biased. And as for the usual suspects who use every opportunity to abuse both riders everytime an incident occurs between these two riders, for christ sake get a life - and that includes you Mr. Tatum. Oh and it is all getting a bit boring.
  13. I think Middlo has gone as far as he is capable of with Team GB. We need a change to move things on instead of stagnating as we are in the Speedway wilderness. I would recommend that Chris Louis being given the opportunity to manage our national team, he's more in touch with 2006 than 1976.

    Italy Gp

Seems like the man has bitten back in the local press last week. Andersen's weekly column in the P'Boro paper. Fair play to him.

Nothing to do with Tony Steele at all it's just the perception of (most) British people. When it's Hans and Nicki it's dirty, when it's Scot it's hard but fair. At least you can be sure the Danes won't go bleating to the national press and try and take the gloss off Scot's second place, unlike Scot of course after the SWC.

Lets also be absolutely clear that if it had been a Dane exercising the same pass on Zagar the Dane would have been excluded.
  17. Chris Louis would get my vote.
  18. Perhaps a visit to Specsavers is in order then.
  19. More likely desperate.
  20. Maybe you should ask Middlo?
  21. To be honest I thought more of Bomber, but was he told to drop the bike? Came across footage of the incident here: http://www.dr.dk/Sporten/Oevrig_sport/2006/07/23/104030.htm click on "Seneste SportNyt" take a close look at Bomber's left leg in the second close up replay, somehow it magically collapses when not touched - this after he said on TV that Andersen took his leg away. Still we don't want to doubt a Brit do we? Whose first in the queue to dish out the slagging off, or do we reserve that solely for our Scandanavian friends?
  22. Well actually no. Someone should tell him the difference between winning and being also rans. Team GB needs more winners not losers. Dignified in defeat
  23. I do like a woman who stands by her man
  24. They say you are only as good as your last ride. He is not a joke, he IS a legend. He has though made a mistake he should have retired last season, I imagine he wanted to but was talked out of it. I think he should quit now while (semi) ahead.

    Touche. I'll get my coat.
