Between you, you ripped into Povey last week and the server is maintained by another company completely and it is that company that has been monitoring the server and reporting the code faults but if it suits you to blame Povey and the BSPA and then gob off all over the social networks crack on! The facts are simple, on the last test Birmingham had 29 pieces of javascript running, 1 person accessing 29 = 29 scripts to load, 200 people accessing 29 = 5800 scripts to load all at the same time. On websites that use huge amounts of script there are a number of servers to balance the load but this eejit has single handedly commandeered the facility. Suspending the Birmingham site resolves every single issue so it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to work it out just a competent webmaster.

I'm not sure but isn't it sad that whatever the disagreement members of the Birmingham staff feel the need to rush on here and Facebook to explain away what may have been a technical issue as almost a vendetta against Brimingham. Why could they not resolve the issue or take it up with the authorities without airing their washing in public? Very, very unprofessional if you ask me, act in haste repent at liesure.

Did you know that Steve Bacon who is mentioned as West Hams' official photographer is the same Steve Bacon who was breaking into Speedway photography on the late 60's/early 70s. He and Mike Patrick started around the same time particularly the London and Home Counties clubs and it is fair to say that the crop of photographers at that time had Speedway pretty much sewn up. Mike had a tough time but eventually got there and Steve went on to pursue other sports but you will find some of his early Speedway work in dribs and drabs in old SS's, Speedway Argus, Home Counties newspapers and some club programmes. Another useless factoid!
