I was told last week in confidence, which is why I'm not naming the person concerned that Oxford have a former Birmingham rider lined up.
-
Just had a message off a mate saying Scott Nicholls in a BBC Radio Oxford interview tonight said that he's riding for Oxford next season.

Maybe it could be reassessed as he missed last season and a big chunk of 2022.
Best interests of the sport and helping a British lad find a way back into the game.
Would probably need another rule in the ever thickening book saying British riders who miss a season due to injury are entitled to a certain percentage reduction of their average.

Which wasn't down to being lucky. He rode a great first two bends and then nice and steady to take the win.

I was at the meeting and I'd say the track was tricky for the first 4 races and gradually got better after that. After Max Perry had his unfortunate accident, the forecast rain started to arrive. Once that rain got heavier there wasn't much chance IMO of the meeting being completed.
Fairplay to all 14 riders for their efforts on the night.
Good Luck to Max I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Maybe the simplest way if people wish to be informed is for the SCB to release a statement on the last day of each month from April to October, stating how many tests were carried out. As in tests took place at X amount of meetings.

A descent top 4 will only take you down

Ashton Boughen had two falls and Tom Spencer and Max James one apiece. Max J’s heavy fall pretty much signified that was the end of any hope of the meeting starting.
Jordan Jenkins was the only Oxford rider to put in some laps.
Max Perry has always been a stylish rider whenever I've seen him ride. I hope he gets a CL place next season and that the team stick with him, unless he suffers an injury.
With all the Leicester riders having a spin to test the track I hope that the Oxford riders who hadn't yet had a chance would've been offered the opportunity.
I think at any track at any level if it's a bit wet allowing everyone a couple of practice laps could sometimes get meetings on instead of postponed.

Maybe if you unfortunately suffer from a rider having a long term injury you can send a message to Norway saying
Lasse come home

Henry Atkins unavailable for Oxford on Saturday due to a family commitment.
Kai Ward replaces him.

I'd be happy with those 6 and a return for Dillon Ruml.

There's also the possibility that Charles Wright may not be fit for the start of the season. He got well smacked up in Poland the injuries could take a while to recover from both physically and mentally.

SCB wanted the meeting to take place today or Thursday but Oxford have decided to wait
If both meetings get cancelled due to the weather then it will be decided upon final league position
So if Leicester don't run the meeting on either Saturday or Sunday and let's be honest they need to call it early both days. But Oxford run there's on Halloween does that leg then become winner takes all ?

Just seen on Facebook that Guy Allott has sadly passed away at the grand old age of 101

Surely you just put a geographical restriction on buying the stream.
Home fans go to the meeting but away ones can stream it.
I think Edinburgh have something like Geographical restriction set up, and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if an Edinburgh supporter couldn't attend due to illness, that if they contacted EMTV that they could bypass the restriction to allow them to buy the stream.
Apologies if the last bit is my brain playing tricks on me.
I streamed pretty much every Oxford away meeting that was available, that wasn't on the very wonderful BSN, I'm sure plenty of fans of any club also did. Good little moneyspinner for the clubs once they've gained back the initial expense of buying equipment and setting everything into place.

LEICESTER'S NDL Grand Final and KO Cup Final fixtures have been re-arranged for next Saturday, October 28.
The clashes with Oxford and Mildenhall will be a double header starting with the Chargers match at 6.30pm, and followed up by the Fen Tigers.
Should the weather intervene once again, the meeting will switch to Sunday afternoon at 3pm2nd leg, if the 1st leg takes place on either of the dates above will be on Halloween

Tonights match at Oxford has been postponed due to track conditions.
Forecast says showers in the afternoon and evening too.

He's come on leaps and bounds this season
Take your blue tinted spectacles off and try to look at non Poole riders as decent prospects.

I'm guessing you may know if there's one definite. Also IMO they'd be daft if theyre not doing the utmost to get Connor Bailey onboard

Couldn't they run a DH with an earlier start at 4pm for instance ?

A stadium owner much like the owner if any venue cannot say the sport etc is unviable.
The owner sets a rent as long as they get paid the rent the sport is viable.
If I as a violinist, (which I'm not) wished to hire the Royal Albert Hall out for one day a week between March and October to rehearse, paying whatever the owners deem a reasonable price
Would they turn me down if a CEO said that was an unviable arrangement
