British Final 2022

If Adam Ellis is unable to take his place at Cardiff, will it therefore go to Charles Wright, who finished third behind Ellis and Bewley? Do they have a proviso in place? -

That’s fine as far as qualifying goes, but if you must have a final to decide the winners, rather than top scorers, then 4-3-2-0 becomes a nonsense. 2nd and 3rd being champions!! What a nonsense. Thank goodness the winners (whoever) were 1st and 2nd in the final race. -
Birmingham v Poole and return leg. 27-29/7/22. Jubilee League
Midland Red replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Only a portion of what they’d get if you actually paid on the gate. “Can’t make it” sounds a good argument, until you consider “won’t go as I can stream it”. Even worse when there’s a number who “won’t go” and watch it together on the same stream. Sorry, but it’s just further damage to an already battered sport. -

Should be the ONLY way to watch - be there, pay the entrance money. That used to be the way to do it. Money going to the promotion. -

Most interesting to me was the start, where the riders were held a couple of yards (don’t recall the exact measurements) and when the green light (or whatever) came on, they moved to the tapes which immediately rose. No gardening, no rolling. Ah, the good old days. Will we ever learn from them?

John Earry was also at Brandon, and was among the best I’ve heard anywhere in 50+ years. Peter York rates just below bottom! -
