I’m sure Bees fans will never forget the night at Blackbird Road when John Boulger somehow managed to lay his bike down behind a stricken Nigel Boocock. Booey suffered a hairline skull fracture from his mishap, what the outcome would have been without Boulger’s reaction doesn’t bear thinking about.

So, everyone’s going to stand around looking at their mobile and thinking, this speedway’s great, I’ll keep coming back over and over, and bring all my mates with me so they can stand around looking at their mobiles - they’ll need their headphones (or whatever they’re called these days) though to drown the sound of those wretched motorbikes. This is the way forward, folks, the saviour of our great sport.

I had in mind that it was something to add to the experience at the track - is that correct, or am I way off?

Someone please outline just how this “app” would work - not an area I’m at all conversant with (I bought a mobile some 35 years ago, for emergencies as I did a lot of driving, have upgraded it over the years, into retirement, but it’s hardly ever switched on or used)

Don’t understand the continued reference to the Premiership and Championship. Surely the promotors should be looking at how to save the sport as a whole, singing from one hymn sheet. Internal divisions will not help the sport out of the crisis.

Why even consider a Premiership. If there’s any league racing, it will surely be one league of teams that are able/willing to operate
