  1. Got my refund....It does state face value refund in the email so happy with that. Nothing to do with the organiser that the £1.95 booking fee isn't refunded. See Tickets charged it and I guess they are trying to make things work too. I do think we need to come to terms with pay for it or lose it.

    Eastbourne 2020

Well done on the Podcast. Really good to hear the plans and initiatives for the new season. Really hope that the 90th celebration comes off (with a big hint that Nicki will be asked back, and I hope Crumpy might make an appearance too if it happens). I guess if there is a big break mid-season as there was last year, this might be a good time to put something like this on?!! Looking forward to getting back to it, and to seeing some close, competitive racing.
  3. Cardiff City playing at home on 21st September at 3pm v Middlesbrough. Not sure what that means for the parking which was at the stadium last year?
  4. As there was no mention of any Speedway on SPOTY, and Tai is trying to raise awareness of Speedway, I thought I would Request a Bet odds on him becoming next Man Utd Manager. Let's see if we can get this trending? If everyone does it, maybe we can get a mention on the BBC?!!!

    Eastbourne 2018

Seems the sensible thing for Eastbourne to move up and continue supporting Tom through his career development. It's always been a family club that look after their own, and there are half the team that would need to go if they don't step up. I can't imagine any profit/loss will be much more painful than National League?
  6. .....unless they don't get to heat 10 before the curfew!!! Cynical old me
  7. Great summary of it from my POV too. Tai and NKI passes at the end were worth the admission fee alone. I agree completely about Kildemand. Soft exclusions, and when you see how NKI passed Pedersen (who stayed on), that is what racing is all about. I also backed NKI at 14/1 before the meet too so that pretty much paid for the weekend!!
  8. So after reading Brendan's statement, and as an Eastbourne fan, I feel embarrassed and hope he can get the help he needs to sort his demon's out. After how he was treated, and some of the comments on here, I'm not surprised he is struggling. Good luck for the future Brendan, hope to see you on a bike again.
  9. Can't wait for the World Cup, especially after Sky sold it so well last night; apparently it "never fails to disappoint"!!!
  10. I love it just how it is. We get the train in the morning, go for Breakfast, look round the stalls, then watch the afternoon event. Go for Luch between meets and watch the evening. Fantastic entertainment and great value. Saturday's are not so good for me, and I look forward to the event every year more than most meetings in the season. Most of the event is pure panto, and I think people like Shawn McConnell and Oli Allen make it for me. Maybe a big name might attract more people but remember Kelly Moran!!!, I would suggest maybe getting more reserves from Elite teams to ride to maybe draw in supporters of those teams (ie don't worry about the unknown poles) I would like it kept exactly as it is.
  11. It looks like the provisional line up has been announced: 1 DANIEL KING Confirmed 2 DAVID HOWE Confirmed 3 EDWARD KENNETT Confirmed 4 GOMOLSKI Confirmed 5 HENKA GUSTAFSON Confirmed 6 JELENIEWS Confirmed 7 LEWIS BRIDGER Confirmed 8 LIBERSKI Confirmed 9 MARTIN DUGARD Confirmed 10 MIESIAC Confirmed 11 OLLI ALLEN Confirmed 12 SIMON GUSTAFSON Confirmed 17 JASON KING (reserve) 18 DAN GIFFARD (reserve) ** CHRIS HARRIS (waiting confirmation) ** NIKKI PEDERSON (waiting confirmation) ** SCOTT NICHOLLS (waiting confirmation) ** GREG HANCOCK (waiting confirmation) Looks pretty good, but would like to see Shawn McConnel and Bobby Schwartz make the annual trip.
  12. What a miserable bunch there are on here! After the initial hiccup, it was more entertaining than most Grand Prix in my opinion. Davey Watt was sensational and could have won the meeting. Not bad for a rider who no-one wanted a few seasons back. Tomas Topinka and Troy Batchellor made for good entertainment (justifying their places) I really don't think Lee Richardson or Joe Screen would have made that much difference, and therefore the only rider we really missed was Jason Crump.
  13. There is a meeting is there? What at Pizza Hut!!! My money is on Lewis this year, although I think Eddie will have a bit more of a ruthless streak this year as he will probably have the crowd on his back a bit (what with most of the Eastbourne fans cheering on Lewis). The three older riders will be hard, and I'm sure they will push the rules as far as they can (particularly 'Mad Dog' - who my dad alway calls the Dirty B'stard) Will definately be ready with the red and yellow cards for this.
  14. I know that the date of the British Grand Prix has been announced for 2005, but does anybody know the rest of the dates, in particular the date of the Czech Republic Grand Prix (if there is one) in Prague?
  15. Oh Dear! See what I have to put up with
