You would think wet conditions would suit Chris Harris than any other rider. Just remember all the stick  i got saying that Harris would not score well  v a decent ippo side.at Foxhall   ..Magic looking great as well i see. Saying all that if Tungate had have showed up they might have won.

All riders struggled passing, even Emil struggled early on when he didnt gate, Harris is usually good at Foxhall.

Harris 4  lol.  Remember what people saying about what he would do at Foxhall v Ipswich last  last year the final and will always score over ten etc lol

I dont think conditions suited him. He is way better than that, Oxford did well considering Tungate missed his flight.

Janowski and Harris were both toilet tonight at Foxhall.  As predicted before the season started their team is not that great but they can turn it around - will the management give them time?

Harris was too bad to be true, track certainly didnt suit him tonight. Cant see them sacking him, he will have better nights.

? What Magic you been watching .. he been on the downgrade for some time now hence why he's back in the Uk in the first place .. These riders have been around for years and there expected levels are there for all to see . To be challenging for honours you have to have riders who will improve not who will stay as they are

Your right he has been struggling in recent times except when he won the world cup and beat Lambert, i think if he continues like that he will be sacked, Oxford are not afraid to axe anyone. It is a shame as I am a big fan of Janowski, loved it when he rode for Poole but as you say he isnt the same rider anymore. As for Oxford they will make the play offs no problem.

I think we been waiting 10 seasons for him to find his form..Every year its the same what a great signing he is ...Riss is just another guy who always lets you down..still have no idea why people thought this was  a great side..

It is a very good side and easily capable of challenging for honours if all the riders performed to their expected level but they haven't and if Janowski performs like he has for Oxford in Poland they won't let him ride here anymore.

Either that or Klindt's possibly had a falling out with the TM over not being given an R/R ride at Birmingham.

Has to be more to it when Riss for the injured Kerr fits in a straight swap.

Yes a bit of a strange decision, Klindt is a far better rider than Riss so must be more to it than meets the eye.

No he's correct the match you are referring to was on 30 July.

But Laguta rode (for Peterborough) against Leicester on 7 Sept scoring a max.

But it is also worth noting that Laguta'a away scores were stunningly unimpressive, including 4 at Leicester losing to Sedgmen and Allen

Are you saying Roger Jacobs got his facts wrong, wow I am shocked!

I've not seen the Pijper / Boughen or Pijper / Coles incidents so can't comment on who's at fault / were the reactions over the top. But I have noticed sone riders who can give it out but not take it, biggest example was Nicki Pedersen & Hans Andersen can't remember the year (must have been a GP) but they were throwing the bikes at each other for all four laps, personally thought it was one of the greatest races I've seen & fully expected them to shake hands afterwards (they were both as bad as each other) but they started pushing & shoving etc.

Now look at Martin Vaculik, winning a GP and Freddie Lindgren completely wiped him out, Freddie goes up to Martin to apologise, which Vaculik accepts, total professional attitude by Vaculik.

What about Scott and Emil years ago, after a great race at Cardiff, you would have thought a handshake but Emil rides into Scott and they have a bit of a altercation.

Spot on, that's my concern too and with several newbies in the team we've not yet had the chance to ride as a team at home yet. A very stiff test. If we can pull this one off it augers well for the rest of the season, but its only going to be a few points either way

Most of them have ridden the track many times maybe not together as a team but good riders adapt quickly and they have probably the best manager in the premiership and the best reserves in the league  so a fairly comfortable win in my opinion.

My main concern is rustiness on Lynn's part, although most of the riders have been in action here and there. BV are a decent side and I'd rather have faced Brum or Leicester in the first home match but it is what it is.

    46-44

You shouldn't have too many concerns with your team, 50-40 would be my prediction.

    1. I've seen him single handedly getting a meeting abandoned at Peterborough a few years back when there was absolutely nothing wrong with the track, and listening to him over the last few meetings I can see exactly why.

    2. He needs a ladder to get on his bike

He has a bit of Batchelor about him!

As for Ben Cook, as long as he is able to get on his bike and win races for Poole I don't care how short he is.

    100%...

Litigation would be enormous if anything happened which COULD be attributed to someone who has just not passed a drugs or alcohol test..

The ref and the clubs complicit in letting him ride, could face prosecution, as could the governing body...

Even the rider himself could sue if he got injured as "you let me ride"...

You don't pass, you don't ride...

Agree there completely, crazy to let a rider compete not having passed the test.  I know its not great for fans to go to a meeting expecting teams as advertised only to find out you are a rider down but I cant see any other acceptable way.

He's already been proven guilty, we're just waiting for him to be proved guilty again, how often does the 2nd test come back different to the first test using the same sample? The same old excuses being trotted out again just like they were in all of the cases last year.

Fans find it difficult to come to terms with their own rider doing something like this especially with the Richie Worrall case still fresh in the memory and considering how experienced these riders are.
