I think in recent years they have done 2 live GP’s and one is normally the British. Hopefully as this is so early in the season they might do a few more.
-
That sprint race was unbelievable, you won’t see a better race this season.
-
All races live on ITV 3/4 this weekend
-
I’m pretty sure if Tobias Thomson had beaten some of these riders on his home track we would be hearing how he’s one of the best signings of the season. Great work by Workington to get Tate.
-
Why not, why does it have to be in the UK like you’re demanding? If it’s only costing £1k each to attend that’s not much money and I doubt many promoters get the chance to go away during the season.

Moto 3 in Thailand must have been the race of the year and the Moto Gp was bloody good aswell. big mistake by Dixon in Moto 2.
-
So Vinales has turned down the Repsol ride and Zarco has rules himself out from it, it looks like Aleix is touting himself for the ride. I can’t remember Honda ever being in such a mess and you can’t blame Marquez for jumping ship if he wants to win another title. Hopefully we get a full weekend of racing this weekend but the weather forecast is not good.

Poole v Glasgow Championship Final 2nd Leg 11/10/23
Tim G replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Big ride by Tom, felt Poole needed a 5-1 in heat 8 to stand any chance of coming back. Shocked by how bad Poole have been so far in this final. -
Only one seat left in Moto GP so I can’t see him quitting Honda without a ride. Maybe Gresini wanted the Honda news out of the way before announcing him along with maybe a new sponsor like Red Bull.
-
Gresini does seem a done deal, the 2023 Ducati will be much more competitive than a 2024 Honda. Would expect Zarco on the official HRC Honda with Lecouna on the LCR. Pol is out at Gas Gas with Acosta coming in.

Glasgow Vs Oxford play offs 26/9/23
Tim G replied to Anzum's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glasgow favourites for this but I think heat 2 could be massive. Glasgow reserves had the better of the Oxford pair in the league and if Oxford have any chance they will need to turn that around. -
Glasgow Vs Oxford play offs 26/9/23

It’s looking like a major blunder putting him in now. Big blow for Oxford and puts big pressure on the reserves. -
Redcar vs Oxford - Champ playoffs - 22/09
Tim G replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Big win for Oxford considering they were 14 points down. -
Toowomba?

I went for a ride on my motorcycle through the Cotswolds on Friday, went through numerous 20mph limits and not once did I see anyone driving at that speed, everyone was still doing 30mph. Blanket 20mph limits are a ridiculous idea but if it was targeted outside schools and village centres I feel it would be a good idea.

Oxford v Glasgow - Play Offs - 13 Sept
Tim G replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No, because I agree with you on that. But this match is at Oxford and Vissing missing is a positive for Glasgow. Do you think Vissing would score more than rider replacement? -
Oxford v Glasgow - Play Offs - 13 Sept
Tim G replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Heeps scores are pretty good at home so Oxford would be weaker using r/r. Hasn’t he already scored paid 13 at Cowley against Glasgow this season. Vissing missing for Glasgow strengthens them. -
Moto 3 & 2 were superb but found both Moto GP races quite boring. Never seen anyone pass two people at the last corner like Alonso did. Bagnaia was a very lucky boy, I expect he will still feel a bit beat up at Misano. Great ride by Jake and even though he has signed a Moto 2 contract for next season still a few rumours linking him with the Gresini ride. Shame about Paul Bird but he did live his life to the full.

Does UK speedway need a new televised product?
Tim G replied to truthsayer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well we have a multi round individual event in Cardiff this weekend let see how many people bother going to that. The attendance is getting lower each year because people don’t seem to be so interested in individual speedway. I think you let your hatred of team speedway cloud your judgement on this one. Speedway will only survive at a very few tracks if it becomes more about the competitors rather than the spectators. -

Tim G replied to truthsayer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So what you are saying is a promoter should run an individual event that nobody would care about in the log run and lose money whilst doing it. You will have them queuing up to showcase one of these events. Why would a tv audience be more interested in this than they are league racing? -
So it’s not in Poole’s hands but Oxford’s
-
It was, great to see Bautista not having things his own way. Bit of a surprise to hear the Rea to Yamaha rumours though.

Swedish GP Malilla Saturday July 15th 2023
Tim G replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
BSB at Brands Hatch next weekend will definitely be in the top 20 attended sporting events in this country but the media is not interested in motorbike racing. When Carl Fogarty was at his peak drawing massive crowds in WSB he was hardly mentioned in the MSM. Wins a crap celebrity event and they are all over him. BBC News will always show some WSL football match in the round up even though hardly anyone is in the stadium just to come across as inclusive. -
Fantastic weather has made the racing superb TT+ at £20 is one of the best bargains going.
