Polish Speedway Postponed until May 22nd
Tim G replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
If that does happen I wonder if any British tv companies will try and show it as live sport will still be in such short supply. -
One Day World Final?
Tim G replied to Sotonian's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Big difference between these events. The open golf will take months to construct the building of grandstands and other spectator amenities and the bill would run into millions. Cardiff would only need about 4 days to be ready. Wimbledon had an insurance policy against this sort of incident, which is rumoured to be at around £125 million pounds so cancelling was not a financial problem for them. i do agree with you about international travel and will the stadium be available due to it being used as a hospital at the moment. -
Will British Speedway Survive ?
Tim G replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whilst I agree Cheltenham would not have been on a week later if it was on I doubt the attendance would have been down much. As soon as people get the all clear to attend events or pub they will go if they can afford it. If you told people they could go to the beach this weekend Bournemouth would be packed. -
Will British Speedway Survive ?

People will go to these events, you only had to look at the crowds at Cheltenham when people already knew about coronavirus. The authorities letting these events happen is a difficult one, they need to get the economy going but also need to protect the NHS. -
As you stated he is only here for Seth and the BSB series will restart when the ACU allow it. That would be when speedway will restart as well so they would be coming over at the same time to do there respective racing.
-
BSB will restart as soon as they are allowed like speedway so I wouldn’t worry about JC missing any meetings.

Those Tuono’s are meant to be an exciting ride!!

A big muscle bike, biggest I have had is a Fireblade and the original R1.

Street Triple RS, fantastic bike to ride. You?

I don’t think so, luckily I got out on mine today.

If you read the statement on the Sky website they are hoping to allow you to suspend your sports package online from Friday.

Well it does to some even if it doesn’t to you. Each person will bet the way they see it best and how they feel they are getting the best value. I don’t see 3/1 to win the championship as good value but he might be 5/1 to win a certain round which I feel is value.
-
Madsen’s round price will normally be above 3/1 unless he wins the first couple so it does make sense. I got him at 14s at Warsaw and I think 13/2 at Cardiff. Most meetings last year he was around 11/2 except at Toruń which his price was quite short if I remember correctly.
-
Also clubs may not have full capacity for all matches but tickets do not go on general sale where if they did the stadium would be full.
-
I remember being at Oxford where they tried 8 riders in a race, 4 started at the usual tapes and 4 on the back straight. The dust was horrific as it was a morning meeting and the race was stopped after about 2 laps due to a rider falling.

Cardiff 2019 Saturday September 21st
Tim G replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Does anyone know where the best place to park a motorcycle near the stadium. Cheers -
I think you will find AJ was around before Freddie and Antonio.

Because we had a British world champion. Nobody really cares about some sports that are mentioned that have less spectator interest than speedway but because it is PC to put them in so they do.

Sky bet offering 3/1 on Tai but 4/1 on a British winner!! -
Many a time I have paid £32 on the gate at a BSB event and have never felt that I have not had value for money. It is an excellent day out for the cash and I cannot always say that about speedway. Next week I am going to the Arenacross which again is fantastic value at £36. In our group we are taking a mum and her 11 year old who has never been to a motorcycle event. She wanted to show him motorbikes in the action as he quite enjoys the moto gp on tv. I know that taking him there he will have a great night as it is non stop entertainment for 3 hours. As living near Reading the closest track to me is Swindon and I know if we took them there the chance of her wanting to return is low due to the facilities at the stadium and the journey being a pain. The only speedway that I would take them to is Cardiff.

You can use Sportsnation using kodi but there is apple and android apps that you can put on your phone/tablet. You can then stream it to your tv off them. The app is very easy to install and the instructions are on there website.

If you use Sky and want BT Sport, groupon has a half price deal, It is £11.49 a month with 3 months free HD. Offer runs until 25/3. Sportnation HD is very good so if you choose to go down this route I would do the £26 for 6 months offer.
