PoBandzie publish some excellent articles and interviews. It's much less tabloid'y which is great in the era of a complete decline of SportoweFakty's journalism quality.

Sadly the Swindon - Leszno test on March 16th has now been called off (apologies if that's not really news to anyone here).
The 2nd leg on March 24th in Leszno is doubtful but still on the cards.
-
It's too early to be sure of course but many of the pre-season friendlies from Leszno are streamed online for free. So fingers crossed the Swindon one will also be available!

Had my heart set on Rybnik & Wroclaw/Leszno for my Friday & Sunday.
What would you still consider commutable?
Rawicz, Opole, and Ostrów are between 4 and 5h each way. Poznań is more like 5.5h, Łódź is closer to 6h.

Dawid Stachyra, Marcin Rempała and Adam Ellis join the Rzeszów line-up.
-
Kim Nilsson signs for Tarnow.
-
I think that Celine Liebmann will only be 19 next year so she could be one of the Wittstock reserves alongside Fienhage. Moeser will be 22 yo in 2020.
-
Patryk Rolnicki, Edward Mazur, Stanisław Burza, Patrick Hansen, Kenneth Hansen, Ilja Czałow, Mateusz Majcher (U21) and Konrad Miłkoś (U21) sign for Rzeszów.
Rzeszów will probably bring other U21 riders in as guests. Their lineup looks very decent though.

Wroclaw have now signed Bewley for 2 years.
-
Sayfutdinov and Kurtz signed 2 year deals with Leszno, and Lidsey stays for 3 years.
Also, Leigh Adams will now be coaching Aussie young talents for Unia
Rawicz lineup:
Baliński, Pawlak, Lidsey, Gilmore, Rew, Nagibin
U21: Szlauderbach, Pludra, Sadurski.
Pludra will also race for the first Leszno team, probably competing with Szlauderbach for the reserve spot alongside Kubera.
-
Andreas Lyager and Brayden McGuinness have signed with Bydgoszcz.
-
Damian Dróżdż, Marcin Jędrzejewski, Andriej Karpov, Eduard Krcmar, Vadim Tarasienko, and Mathias Thoernblom have all signed with Krosno.
-
As expected, Lindbaeck has signed with Falubaz for 2 years.
-
Looks like Robert Lambert is the rider whose future in Poland is the biggest mystery so far... Will it be 1 Liga? Or maybe Falubaz? Or maybe BOTH, i.e., a long contract with Falubaz, but then a 1 year loan to somewhere like Bydgoszcz in 1 Liga? No idea at the moment!
-
Fricke stays at Wroclaw for a year.
Also, Rzeszow have just confirmed they'll be joining 2 Liga next year!

It's 12k capacity.

4 hours ago, Mark said:Has Zmarzlik ever had a really bad crash ? His style is riding on the edge of safety but I cannot remember him having a bad one. I hope that doesn't tempt fate but he puts his bike into the smallest of gaps.
In September 2012, at the age of 17, Zmarzlik sustained a very badly broken left femur after a crash with Kudryashov in the U21 Team World Championships final in Gniezno. He had a 16 inch nail implanted in his thigh to put the bone back together, but was back for the beginning of the next season.

25 minutes ago, Col said:AFAIK Michał Gruchalski won't be eligible for reserve as he'll be too old.
He could stay at no. 8, but not as the U21 reserve at 6 or 7.
In early September he said he thinks he'll step down to one of the lower leagues to keep racing regularly.

1 hour ago, Col said:Looks like Torun are determined to get back in the Ekstraliga at the first attempt. Wonder which senior Poles Czestachowa will look to sign, losing Miedziński and Przedpełski was hardly banging in big scores.
Przedpełski is officially staying in Częstochowa and there are rumours of bringing Holta back.

Up to my best knowledge (all unofficial) the Polish speedway authorities wanted to put Kubera forward, but Torun decided to go for Miedziński, an out of shape 34-year-old.
An SGP wild card as an argument to convince someone that Ekstraliga is too demanding for them and he should step one league down... I don't even know where to start.

I don't know I'm afraid. Possibly the former, but maybe simply the lack of practice sessions so far. Leszno hasn't had an outing yet. Hopefully tomorrow will be the first one.
