    Berwick 2023.

Id have said it was done Peters way and they could either deal with it or not! When you think of the tonkings and the teams we beat back in those days, to see us struggle as we are now is so sad I ain't giving up my support though as it does need fans when it's going through times like this... I'll go tonight and see what Glasgow do to us

I've also said it... The minute Peter waite left is when we became vulnerable at home... It took a special team to beat us beforehand.... Peter knew others hated coming to Berwick so he kept conditions in such a particular way! We need to get a track that is conducive to racing... We need a team that can score points home and away... Not just rely on big home points cos as we've seen, when that doesn't happened... We're buggered!!

There's slick.... But that last night was as "bald as a nuns chuff"... Even he couldn't do too much on it!!

    Berwick 2023.

Now that the dust has settled (literally in the bottom of my shower).... That was not an enjoyable night at all! Shielfield Park used to be a fortress...now the only team that seem to struggle regularly are the home team. Very little dirt and what was there was a matter of 2-3 feet from the safety fence! If, as someone mentioned earlier, Kevin little is quoted as saying that the track suited the Brummies more, then as team manager what the hell is he going to do about it!! Give our team a track they can do something with! Saying that and not acting upon it is a bit of a slap in the face to those fans attending! I have said it before and I'll say it again, I can cope with losing if I'm at least being entertained in the process! But that last night was hard to watch!! (From what could be seen) The concrete base was visible from very early on... Yes, I understand the football was on and obviously not much time for on the day track prep but what about the rest of the week! We've had warmish weather in Berwick all week leading up to that and even yesterday, in between the drizzle, it was still warm! Glasgow next week are going to give us a proper arse kicking... I said to the hubby last night I genuinely don't think we will win another meeting this year.... There is a group of die hard fans at Berwick that are losing patience... A group that would travel the length and breadth of the country to watch their team... a group that are now finding home meetings a struggle...They are the group of people you can't afford to lose... And I thought 2007 would not be repeated!
  5. More than Rory clearly! Why was Ritchie Worrall shaking his head after his laps??? Leon certainly wasn't happy! It's clear Jye wasn't either!! If that track wasn't safe to ride then why should they go out! People pay their money to see riders going full throttle for 15 heats.. that wasn't going to be the case if it had went ahead!! Like Greg said, just a half arsed effort from the Plymouth promotion... Why were they not there from midday doing everything they could?
  6. Boxall woeful? Haway Steve... You've been around long enough to know that years out the game can have an impact... He was straight away on the pace which is encouraging.... You had Complin guesting who is the go to pick for reserve guests due to his knowledge and experience on our track.... Roynon would not have scored what Complin did! We certainly did make Poole work for it right up till heat 12! Good meeting for Rory and a pleasing debut for Hans... Nice to see that he still ain't afraid to ruffle some feathers... Endeared himself nicely!! 2 important fixtures coming up this week against Plymouth and Birmingham...need to pick up the points if we can!!
  7. Weather is fine in Berwick so far! Good guest in complin... Plenty of effort when riding for us but has scored more riding against us this year!!
  8. Bandits 46- Poole 44 Another last heat decider I see coming.....
  9. Not all Redcar fans are as dedicated as Claire and Tracey! Good crowd from Teesside last night but definitely not as big as they usually are!! Our guests did a fine job but our 4 remaining Bandits actually performed better than in recent weeks also. Despite ongoing issues with his shoulder, Leon was incredible last night and was not going to be denied getting the points needed in 15. You could see what it meant to him... And the crowd! After the heartbreak of last week, he couldn't have been more determined!! A fine night!

Are we gonna need to consider a guest for Rory following his very big off at Oxford?

    Glasgow 2023

There's a few uneducated up there then as Mrs Pijper herself had to go on and remind people of his age and this being his 1st season!! I just think you lot should be happy with what you've got.... You've got a few underscoring and you're still able to win home and away!

    Glasgow 2023

Between here and Glasgows Facebook page, there's a few! He took a fair bit of stick, as well as a couple of others, after the redcar defeat!

    Glasgow 2023

I'm not being funny.... But you're winning matches still and moaning about a "struggling" reserve.... Come back when it's you're heat leaders that aren't scoring points
  15. He had his good meetings at reserve... Will be interesting to see how he fairs in top 5!
  16. That's fair enough average wise... But people moaning that we've went for Riss.... Do we know if the others were asked? If we knew for fact that they weren't then there may be something to moan about.... Before last night's score from him though, people would've been jumping cock-a-hoop for us getting Riss as a guest... His Shielfield record is impeccable!! And before anyone says I'm a happy clappy chappy who agrees with all the promotion do, I certainly ain't! I profess that I ain't enjoying it as much this year... Maybe having Bomber last year and knowing you'd have a chance in the big heats spoilt us.... but they're still my team and I'm aware that if we don't use it then we lose it!! All we can do is watch and see now what happens on track tonight!!
  17. Would they have fitted average wise with what we have available? And were they available in the first place? How do we know who was and wasn't asked?

    Redcar V Berwick 9/6/23

Or is it just the opposition making him look good tonight?
  19. And for those of us who don't have him on Facebook... What's the update?
  20. Rory, TJ, Leon & Connor showed that there was passing opportunities available if you'd wanted them!! Bike problems or not... He's done more than enough laps of our track to know where you need to be! Much better this week though against an Edinburgh team who rode with more gusto at our place than their own! Losing Josh in Heat 1 was a big blow for them but they hung on through the meeting... Only falling away in the later heats! A much tougher test to come next week in Glasgow & Redcar but hopefully this weekend has rallied us to push on!

    BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN) April 15th - 7pm

Edinburgh to come and Redcar the following week.... Ouch!!!

    BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN) April 15th - 7pm

True... but They still have enough to do the damage Bomber, Claus, basso, Lee and Ace! I'm expecting a very hard meeting and won't be surprised if Glasgow do come away with the win!! It's our 1st home meeting as well which makes it all the harder!!
