Hi Rod It didn't end there, I knocked the throttle back and she dropped, I fell across the tank, when I opened the throttle to recover, she lifted again then dropped again, Its the only time I got to the turn first, I don't think anyone else would come near me ......as you say the face says it all

For those of you have never seen a Brafield Badgers race jacket, I'm wearing one here, getting out the gate in a hurry, at Peterborough, the black and white V shape represented the head of the Badger. Badger jacket

I take it Buster just means he will sell Kings Lynn Speedway, not Kings Lynn Stadium, that earns him, he doesn't need the Speedway -
I think you could refer to most Elite League riders as part time.....They ride part of the time for British clubs and part of the time for Foreign clubs

No, I never referred to Jason Crump in the first place, I was actually meaning a lot of riders all of a sudden seem to be pulling out, I'm sorry if you think I was having a go at Crumpy in particular, it was never meant that way, just that this meeting seems to fall apart And I said it would be nice if he could be there even if he is not riding (being the holder of the ELRC) -

Not in particular, just that the premier and conference riders do ride under more difficult conditions and don't pull out so easily. There is a lot of feeling of let down amongst supporters with this meeting, jason may be in a lot of discomfort, but I feel an appearance at the meeting would be a nice thing, who knows he may turn up. I think the meeting is not important enough for them. -

Dear me, I find it very sad to discover the fragility of the elite rider even with the services of their London specialists, I have no idea and wonder how the conference and premier riders manage on bumpy tracks without the service of London specialists. -
Great bloke, good Speedway rider, Team Captain, team rider, he had the art of getting to the front and then slowing the racing down to get his partner through. Martin Goodwin said when he was at Arena Essex Bob Humphreys taught him how to win races without going fast. I had the pleasure of being mechanic for Bob, his wife Jane and my wife Jackie got on well together so the four of us used to travel around together track to track, in 1980 he was not only Milton Keynes No 1 in the NL, but also rode at No 4 for Swindon in the BL, we did quite a lot of traveling then but enjoyed every minute of it, that time was some of my happiest times in Speedway, everybody liked Bob

The plague of MK Speedway at Elfield Park was the organized vandalism by some of the residents of an estate the other side of the A5, but the reason MK closed was not due to poor crowds or the Vandalism, it was the Control Board that pulled the plug on us by withholding the License untill we got the Stadium up to scratch on some of the things they said needed doing, but once you have no money coming in you can't do the things that need doing It was devastating that night the Control Board manager pulled the rug from under us

I can confirm that we will be filming the U21 British Final tomorrow, I shall be on camera on the gantry and Tracey will be in the pits and on trackside, we are still trying to get a third person to cover the start line. Mike will be doing centre green (concrete) presentation and interviews. -
