As long as Anlas pay for the bar bill at the AGM all should be good.

Won't be making the trip from Surrey - Especially with the RMT strike on the 17th Sep - Avanti will be in a state of carnage. Will watch on Eurosport. -

Czestochowa the speedway equivalent of Tottenham - Bottled it again. Fair play to Gorzow though. -
Rev Limiters has been mentioned in despatches for a number of years with riders , tv pundits etc all stating that this was a possible way forward for the sport in order to bring costs down. I believe Rory Schlein mentioned it on numerous occasions in Speedway Star but have never seen or heard of it being tested on any occasion

Awkward crash there for Tommy Brennan. Hope that he is ok. -
The Anlas tyres have been shoddy since they were introduced. Seen many a rider putting photos and showing tyres absolutely shot to pieces. So is it the tyres or the material that is now used at EofE - remember Zagar moaning about the track shale on Eurosport early season. Safety is paramount if the tyres are not up to standard they should be binned completely. Nearly as farcical as the Intercontinental Final at Poole/

Fair play to Nilsson. Rode well tonight and although unfancied he attacked the racetrack and won the meeting. Hopefully Lambert puts together a series of decent results in remaining SGP's -

Glasgow promoter is doing the co-commentary on the stream and he stated more crashes in this meeting than they have had all season. Stakes are higher. Not sure why riders struggling. Interesting to see on twitter Darcy Ward tweeted that a lot of riders won't like the Glasgow track . -

No buffering issues for me. Just lacks replays or graphics but this is a streaming service and not a tv production. Hope that Chris Holder's injuries not too serious but I did not what looked like Crumpie (Ruthless hoodie) take Jack Holder away. Get well soon Chris. -
I read on here that VisitWales makes a significant contribution as long as there is no other SGP in the UK ???.

Prague - That was another pitiful SGP. On the SGP calendar to appeal as a destination not a race track. Possibly the worst track in SGP.

The British SGP has always been an event - the speedway family congregate on mass in Cardiff for the event. For me the parameters have changed and it is no longer a weekend jolly but a weekend for the family as "speedway" is and has been the family sport. My children love it (16+12) and without a local track now that Eastbourne Eagles have closed we have maintained our trips to British Final + British SGP ( so Yes it has been a great 2022!!!!). There weekend was made by having a photo with Nicki Pedersen on the Sun. Lovely guy was happy to have a chat and says he won't be retiring. Hotel - £247 Tickets - £210 Petrol - £100 As a weekend experience it is still something that I would look to do but with hotels difficult to book for Sep '23 - I fully expect this to come at a premium next year. I am seriously looking at making a long week-end of SWC in Wroclaw rather than Cardiff. On the most part the event was garbage this weekend with the Bewley victory papering over the cracks. Discovery Sports have not changed a great deal in terms of presentation apart from prolonged tractor dancing and this is now the 3xSGP that has been poor in 2022. Not sure how true but I have heard many say that VisitWales contributes to the event with the guarantee that no other SGP takes place in the UK and with the advance dates given over a year before hotels can set a premium rate for the event weekend as they do for all events in the Welsh Capital and make a mark up. Will be interested to see the numbers announced for this year - whether they will use the Arsenal / Emirates numerical system and state 40,000+ despite the obvious lack of numbers this year. 2023 - I won't make any commitment until I see the hotel costs.
-
The meeting against Kings Lynn was a drubbing but the racing on the most part was excellent with Pickering leading the charge for the away side. To be honest most of the PL racing on Eurosport has been far better than the SGP offering. "Gate and gone"

How many will be staying to watch the SON2 on the Sun ???

British Final 2022
Hackett replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
If you are a British rider you should have an opportunity to ride in the British Final. The only riders currently riding abroad only are Woffinden , Lambert + Bewley so why punish those ?? Majority of riders in the Final were riding in Britain and that field was stretched with the withdrawal of Barker and Cook the week prior.
