If Scunthorpe win against Plymouth it will be on the 27th, if Plymouth win it could be either.

thought he rode on a british passport last year?
-
So you could provide all 15 heats winners and still lose heavily? Seems weird
-
Technicality I know but didn't he refuse to take a drug test rather than fail one. Result is the same and leads to a ban.

Berwick's training track DOES have an airfence
-
saw Berwick there is the last year before the switch to AshbyVille. Incredible view looking down from the top of the cycle track but after eight or so heats began to wish they were racing round it rather than a slick track which, because it was on top of the athletics track, had no banking and one racing line. To actually lay and lift a track every week was an incredible - and vaguely ridiculous - achievement by the promoters

BERWICK v MILDENHALL (Play-off, 1st leg) SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8th
George Dodds replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
erm because heat eight is the only heat that a number one can take a rider-replacement ride when R/R is number two on account of them already being in the other three programmed races. Surely the question is more whether it makes sense to run r/r at two. -
Rugby League season runs from February to September ... not sure when you are suggesting that a meeting should take place - October in West Yorkshire would be quite a gamble
-
assume if it's a dome then the surface is not permanent so, as with Cardiff and Tottenham, the floor level can be configured for other sports and concerts. Although the strangely low capacity suggests it may be pretty basic - the previous Bradford Superdome in the 80s was going to be 75,000

Four point Kent victory would put them two points clear meaning Belle Vue need a win

Buster? Thought it was Dave Hemsley who still owned the lease but sub leased tothe Bates promotion. Although I could be wrong.
-
granted but it is a speedway-only facility
-
Presumably Sheffield, Scunthorpe, King's Lynn and Peterborough showed no interest in staging the meeting whereas Leicester did - and also invest in the expense of running a team in the league which none of the four do. Also why pay money to landlords at Owlerton and Peterborough who have done few favours to speedway this season?

British U-19 Final at Redcar 21/7/22 at 7.30 p.m.

More of a strong favourite to be fair, I think he's still pretty beaten up from a big off at Glasgow last Friday. The thing with the old-fashioned 20 heats is that there's no way back from an engine failure, puncture, fall through the semis and final. Perry, Pijper and Scott form an interesting sub-plot because they could conceivably be battling it out for this title for the next five years. -
You state what I had explained as "rubbish" ergo untrue, therefore a lie, which would make me a liar according to you.
-
I don't know but perhaps that is a possibility.
-
As you so eloquently point out opinions can be wrong. So your opinion that I was lying about the reason we don't take card payments at the turnstile could be wrong.
-
Not like you to try and stir things. We don't have a card turnstile it's a situation which will be addressed for next season. The fact that you don't accept an explanation of fact is neither surprising or especially relevant.

Fine I'm not getting into an argument. I genuinely would love to know why, apart from sheer bloody mindedness why anyone would refuse to attend because they cannot pay cash. Are these people who still get paid weekly in brown envelopes, take their pension books to the post office on a Monday, pay their electricity bills with pound notes and wait for the rent man to call every Friday or have they successfully adapted to change over the years? As for apps on your phone -great idea and once the cost of developing one has been clawed back potentially a moneymaker but pointless if people then insist on paying cash
-
But it's not a "gimmick" is it? To accept cash they would have to build turnstiles, find/employ volunteers/staff comfortable with or willing to handle cash, security to protect them. Someone has to find a bank branch open and queue to withdraw cash for a float. Somewhere secure has to be provided overnight to secure the cash or arrangements made for it to be collected by securicor or similar. Then another queue at a bank to deposit the next morning. All against downloading an app onto a phone and scanning a QR code. Card payments are probably down to the charges from the collecting systems - between around £1.50 per transaction as they are based around volume - the charges start to fall dramatically once you handle 250,000 transactions. I think a lot of clubs envy Oxford's position of handling minimal amounts of cash and the fact that tickets are available online until 15 minutes before start should accommodate last minute decisions. 2021 post Covid proved the numbers unable to buy tickets online were minimal. Anyone genuinely struggling should contact their clubs directly and I would suggest that in 99% a solution could be found.

Not sure but it would be rough if someone who was only replaced through injury cannot then replace someone who's injured when they are fit again. if that rule doesn't exist it really needs to be written and implemented immediately.
-
15. Started the season with Oxford when Killeen waited for his passport. Broke his wrist in a practice crash at King's Lynn so replaced in their line-up. Likely to be redeclared by Oxford with Killeen injured i would have thought. Not sure he can be blamed for either crash .... not least because he was behind Luke and in front of Greg.

BERWICK v LEICESTER (second part of double-header) June 4th
George Dodds replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
Yes I know the answer - very little demand probably due to their relatively low crowds and admission price. Slow connection when required to print receipts. Two of the three meetings streamed were from empty stadiums with no other demands on the upload connection - but not without incident. Birmingham I don't know as I was busy elsewhere in the stadium that day and don't know what specific measures BSN had in place. Seem to remember complaints on here - but that's not usually a true measure of reality. Feel free to invent a parallel reality to fit your agenda. -

As I said earlier if the answer was simple we'd have taken the simple answer but as that doesn't suit your agenda then continue to think you have all the solutions and the rest of the us are idiots
