    Cradley 2016

If, and I do say if, .................we run...will it be as Cradley@Perry Wood or Wolverhampton Heathens (One team at Monmore only as per Ladbrokes 2015 ruling and using a version of the 2015 Cradley Title Sponsor "Recycled Aggregate Services Olympique" Cradley/Wolves bib with an added Hammer to equate to the NL Heathens 2010-2015 & Wolves MDL 2015). Either way, who cares, as the bib/team would be running in 2016 and it would be at Monmore Wood as opposed to the rather bad viewing at Perry Wood in 2015. Keep an opened mind as something is better than nothing in my world!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Alex, Eastbourne need him to make sure that they defeat a depleted Cradley side on Saturday at Arlington but on Sunday they don't against the Storm at Brandon! Simples!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Birmingham Brummies 2016

Alex if you are suggesting that Nathan Greaves is on a 6.06, dream again my friend. He is on a GSA of 7.08 and could be at Cradley if we are at the tapes in 2016. But then what do I know!

    Birmingham V Cradley 30 Sep

" Have to correct you on this Alex! The general saying in the area is as follows..... No Brummies then no Cradley (vice versa)". It has been well written about that Tony Mole could not get enough money/people interested to run EL or PL and that the Greyhound people would only allow a 30 meeting, or close to that figure, season to run. Hence two teams renting the ground together. what will happen in 2016........Either 2 NL teams or closure for one or both as they need one another badly.

    National League

All 3 Leagues should run to a 42.5 Team Building average! The 36 NL 2015 version was not viable and will not be in 2016 either!
  8. I am a Cradley fan through & through so I have had a few visits to the local Institute (Barnsley Hall) in my time! If Wolves fans can't stand NP who then does? I bet his time will come before he jacks it in, as he will find another 'brick wall'!!!!!
  9. While I agree Greg should have a minor punishment for his action, as a Greg fan since his first rides at Dudley Wood way back, he should have put NP into another country the hard way and at least a short stay in hospital. It is about time that all and sundry stopped thinking that NP is a god and put a stop to his on track antics, he has always never been at fault in his own head and, funnily, never really got hurt except for the usual Speedway injuries for his troubles.

Golden Hammer Wed 12th August @ Perry Barr

Thank you teaboy, as you now seem to understand the strength/importance of the 'Ommer to the Black Country. Will you be up at Perry Barr to enjoy the spectacle as it is a very long drive but should be worth the journey? By the way, I am from the Black Country but am an adopted Man Of Kent/Kentish Man/worked for KCC/Canterbury & Crayford Speedway regular visitor way back and my wife will have a problem on Wednesday as she is from Gillingham, Kent (Invicta, the white horse, Rules)! As sure as can be, she will be 'Ommering for Cradley in her Kentish way as she has done since 1975! Hope the best rider wins on the night with more than 12 (13 is a better best but who knows with the mystical 'Ommer?).

Golden Hammer Wed 12th August @ Perry Barr

From my maths & GS averages there are at least 14 Heat Leaders of 6 points or above from a variety of teams in the 2015 NL 'Ommer. The only August reserve is Moggo! Some of the other NL teams have riders who are far worse than the Unattached riders at #1 who are obviously NL August GS #1's. Do you, teaboy, understand anything about GS & averages, Perry Barr speciality and riding positions? I doubt it! Once a Heathen Always a Heathen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 'Ommer is the hardest Individual to win in the NL since 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Kent Laurels was run over less Heats & Riders of an obviously less ability when you look at the riders involved in the 'Ommer! The Laurels was won by Simon Lambert who is no more than the any of the 3 Unattached riders Cradley HQ have invited this year and as for the rest of the Laurels field. WELL? By the way, a certain Mr. Morley is involved so he must be well thought of up here in the West Midlands otherwise Kent may not have an 'Ommer competitor as he ain't good enough or unavailable! No apologies at all, just cheesed off! Discuss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Golden Hammer Wed 12th August @ Perry Barr

Gustix says "Wasn't the ;Golden Hammer' a speedway classic event at one time? Competed for and won by speedway's top line riders?" My answer..............Yes when my beloved Heathens were in the 1st Division! It started in about 1977 by Dan the Man that resurrected Cradley from Cinderella's to superstars invented it. When we reopened in 2010 is was reinstated but this time at 3rd+ Division level and is probably a far stronger meeting than the NLRC and still runs 'til today or...............!

Golden Hammer Wed 12th August @ Perry Barr

From past experience of the fabled Golden 'Ommer................anybody in the field who can get 13 or over will win it and deserve it!

Team Changes At Buxton And Cradley?

Not really a true idea, Ollie 'Ommer was given a 9+ average when he thought about a return to NL racing and he had not ridden for Cradley since a certain Greg Hancock replaced him back in the day after he broke his ankle!

Cov Storm V Brummies Fri 17thjuly

I am sure that if the BSPA had said that BWD could go into the PL he would have been on a 5 or 7 point average like Brady Kurtz and not a cosy NL average of 5(?) with patriality. Is that why he has not been invited as a guest in the PL or is not in the PL?????? Discuss Alex! I edit this as this is NOT his first season in speedway..NZ Speedway counts as well in your development!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I am sure that RW is way, way too correct. We are going to have a lot of NL & PL British riders out of work in 2016!!!!! Leagues are running on a very silly low team building average to make UK speedway work! I said this in 2014 when the silly low numbers were used and will say it again at the end of the 2015 season.

Dukes Of Hazzard reign supreme OK???????????????????

Team Changes At Buxton And Cradley?

Nathan is on a 7+ so I would have thought that it was Mikey. May be wrong but putting Adam in and with the GS for July it would actually give us a bit of a boost! Depends how long the signing is for.......July?...............August???????????? Discus................

Cradley V Brummies Wed 24th June

Without either Nathan or Mike I cannot see a Cradley win or draw, but I will live in hope 'til the Brummies get past 45 on Wednesday as I stand by the starting gate in green n white as usual at Perry Wood!
  20. Good news as I always enjoyed my visits when on holiday no matter who the opposition was. When will the six 2015 fixtures/dates be announced as I am on the Island the last two weeks in August?

    Track Records

That was at our AWAY match, so it is Birmingham's T/R. Cradley's NL T/R was set by Lee Smart riding for Dudley/Cradley back in September 2010 at an incredible 58.60 seconds! No Cradley rider has got any where near this since we started at Perry Barr this year, in fact I think Max at 60.1 & Ellis Perks at 60.2 are the fastest on a Cradley night.

    Speedway And The Recession?

Can I just point out that the Heathens owners or fans have NO other option other than track share, which has been well documented since November 2009, due to a severe lack of 5 to 8 acres of land in the Black Country being available from Dudley or Sandwell or Walsall MBC! I, also, personally think that the Brummies without Cradley (vice versa) would not be at the tapes in 2015, which is very different thing to the Eagles being in the NL. Roll on next Wednesday and the Heathens & Brummies can start 2015 off and I hope it goes on for many a year! Also in 1995, should have been 1994, Dudley Wood shut!!!!! Built upon and no land ever since has ever appeared viable!!!!!!!

    Reading Speedway

Yep, the good old days at Dudley Wood (for me 1959 to 1995)...........Pity they can't be replicated at a Dudley Wood 2.0 in the Black Country BUT with 21st Century toilets! But, at least Nigel is doing great work first at Monmore Wood and now at Perry Wood! He is giving me the Heathens dream, albeit through circumstances in the NL, and long may it live on!
