    Italian Grand Prix

Congrats to Gollob, so pleased for him. But surely in the pinnacle of the sport we need a more scientific way of sorting out photo finishes! The camera's are not up to it, on the along-line camera the blur shows nothing and tbh, the above view looked like Hampel edged it to me. Irrelevant as far as the title goes as he'd probly have won it in the final, well deserved Gollob, about time!

    Nordic Grand Prix

fantastic Gollob, if he doesn't win this now then theres no justice! Anybody know what Huewen meant by Gollob has personal problems and problems back in Poland?
  5. lol you should take back the idiot comment since the rules in international speedway do not allow for awarding a race.

  8. In the last 30 seconds i've just realised I can change the order of the tracks on the left hand side. I'll make them A-Z when I have a chance
  9. I'll go through it tomorrow with the list of tracks which need locations and which I believe are spot on. The listing thing is in the order they were entered, for the GB tracks its unfortunately the order they appear in the speedway star preview issue which is where I got the track postcodes from. I'm hoping to move it to a website when its finished so there I can have country by country pages and links to each part of the map (hopefully). I've been sent all the Swedish locations so once I get round to actually inputting them there shouldn't be too many tracks which aren't correct. One thing that does need doing is the American, Australian and New Zealand tracks. If anyone has all the locations of these that would be great.
  10. Thanks Ghostwalker, i've updated that one.
  11. This topic inspired me to create some kind of atlas/directory of all the tracks in the world. I've got some work to do with adding all the tracks, but i've made a start :-) http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115715215103463258710.00048adf5e6a31b49b774&z=2 Currently haven't got round to adding some of the countries (notably Poland) but i'll get onto it soon.

    Cardiff Grand Prix

Just wondering if anybody knows whether Emil is back riding or whether it'll be Protasiewicz or Watt that replaces him on saturday. Thanks tom
  13. How ridiculous, surely riding in the world cup should come first.
  14. An absolutly fantastic meeting on a fantastic track, well done everybody involved! Watching at home there was just a totally different atmosphere... usually its a case of filling in the scorecard job done after the first lap or so and feeling completely let down at the end of the meeting when you realise you've wasted 3 hours. Instead it was entertaining and definately a great advert for the sport. Similarly you felt a different atmosphere in the studio with their jobs being made much easier as the racing did the talking. Well done to everybody, finally SGP is a product we can be proud to say is the pinnacle of our sport. Lets hope rounds 2-11 are as good.

  16. Anybody else notice on the sky captions (not the ones from the SWC feed itself but ones used by SKY for their own interviews etc) that the Slovenian flag had been replaced by the Slovakian flag! Similar design but different... poor show from SKY and pretty disrespectful to a small nation in the world cup.... Imagine the uproar if instead of the Aussie flag they put the New Zealand one because some bloke in the sky office thought it looked similar! Surely its easy for such a large professional TV company to get the little things right! And another thing, what is with that blasted moley!!! Tacky and unprofessional looking!
  17. Why not allow a reserve rider, but once the reserve has taken the ride of a rider, they must take all that riders remaining rides, and no others (except TS rides). Therefore say Denmark had Korneliussen as a reserve, he could have taken Nicki's remaining 3 rides. Equally if a team wanted to use the system tactically they could. For example Australia could name Crump at 6, but he couldn't take a rider's first programmed ride but could for example replace Sullivan in his second ride. But from that point on Crump would replace Sullivan throughout the meeting. Making a reserve in effect take all the rides of the rider he replaces sort of negates any tactical advantage which could be made.

Don't read the bloody thread if you don't care. You've been one of the forum idiots for so many years its quite sad!

    Lubos Tomicek Snr

As you all probably know I run Lubos Jnr's website. On there we have a Tomicek history with details of both his Grandad and Dad. All we have though is info from Lubos himself and it would be nice to expand that section with some info/accounts/details from people who watched them ride. Thanks in advance to those who post something.

0 Why is Sweden 30 mins behind then (I assume you mean the swedish broadcast)
  21. No British riders would be an embarrassment, but a huge kick up the arse to the Brits. Currently we are pretty much guaranteed 1 or 2 places in the GP... when our boys have to race for it properly like the Slovenians/Russians or any other nations which have had GP representation through qualification then the better! At least we will see proper ambition, currently the impression I get is "I'm the top Brit, i'll get in".... you can bet your bottom dollar that Matej Zagar has never ever had that attitude! (I think I found another rider more deserving of a shot than Scott). And balls to whoever said Hampel would fall apart outside Poland, he's a proven world class performer
  22. 100% agreed... and i'm far from a Rico fan for a number of reasons

Polish appears to be about 30 seconds behind Sky, with Cegielski, Dobrucki and the lady trackside as a studio + Adam Scornicki and some other guy in the pits
