  1. Sadly it beginning to look like another difficult season at Kings Lynn - really thought the team we started with was very promising sadly things aren’t looking so promising now .
  2. Points deduction maybe for the team calling the fixture off
  3. That just might be the incentive needed to stop these crazy call offs
  4. You are correct and one of culprits is in the Sheffield team so Buster may have played a blinder - but there will be a time when KL can take advantage of another clubs misfortune via injury rider availablity or even a dodgy weather forecast but KL doesn’t want to whinge when a meeting is off that the club can take advantage of - as the saying goes what goes around comes around . And KL ain’t making many friends at the moment
  5. Problem KL has over the years since Buster has owned the club there has been many dodgy call offs and that’s why fans doubt the reasons they are told - it may well rain tonight in which case it was a good call but it was called off yesterday which is rather early - Lynn can’t afford a other home defeat that’s for sure maybe that’s the reason but either way these iffy call offs have to stop .
  6. No rain here in South Lincolnshire as of yet I’m 20 miles from the track
  7. In Poland they have what they call sparring meetings or in our terms challenge meetings maybe to iron problems out as UK season is so short a couple of pre season meetings could even run POTE just to get riders dialled in be better than going in cold into league meetings

  10. I agree all efforts should be into finding a new site and building a new track - Workington has shown what can be done - why would anyone want to go back to the Showground now ? and if the club did it only be short term - time to be in charge of own destiny I think new track is the only way forward .
  11. The fence I’d say either went in a skip or somebody got it for their log burner . From what I saw wouldn’t be worth saving
  12. Certainly doesn’t look good - in fact I think now more energy should now go into to finding an alternative site than trying to get the Showground back into operation . As you say we’re done now . A new site and track is the way forward Workington has shown what can be done .
  13. I see on Facebook they’ve started taking the Grandstand down
  14. Sad to read this morning on Facebook that ex Kings Lynn co promotor Brian Griffen has sadly passed away - some will say who I guess but Brian and Nigel Waggstaff gave the club two great seasons 1999and 2000 when the club should have won the league title but was pipped by Eastbourne on the last meeting of the season .
  15. So I’ve just read had hoped he’d departed along with Jorgensen to pasture new unfortunately only Jorgensen has gone out of the two - Really hope this 2024 is Robs and Allit plays no part in it over the season
  16. For me Allit hasn’t been mentioned in press releases and Jorgensen isn’t in the 2024 team do feel for Simon Lambert as he did nothing wrong and everything right last season
  17. Don’t forget Iversen ended the season injured - I’ve seen no news since how he’s recovered
  18. Don’t think there is many would argue with that - im a KL fan and I’m first to admit Chapman has treated Pboro speedway and it’s loyal fan’s terribly - if it was the other way round im sure KL fans wouldn’t be happy far from it .Then Lynn sign the 2023 Panthers riders it’s not a good look for Chapman - it’s not the riders fault they are there to earn a living .
  19. No I don’t blame him but he’s bought a lot of it on his self - all saying is when you have a gathering like Saturday to protest the closing of the showground and the current owner of the club doesn’t turn up it’s not a good look - it says to me the true owner of the club is the fans and the real owner couldn’t give a rats arse if Peterborough Speedeway continues.
  20. I agree it wasn’t timed well at all but in Kings Lynn defence it had already been reported via Polish website regarding Basso signing before the KL announcement . But I agree doesn’t look good . And it definitely doesn’t look good when the Panthers owner doesn’t turn up in Peterborough City centre yesterday .
  21. Have to agree should have been handed over to the consortium months ago then 2024 could they could have had half a chance to have sorted it with stadium owners it really does look like the sale has been block deliberately from where I’m sitting .
  22. Yes I think you are correct - wonder how much longer they will be though - sadly it’s starting to look unlikely racing will continue there I’d have thought if to even remote chance of the consortium that’s trying to buy the club from Chapman doing a deal to carry on at the showground the owners would have left everything in place at the track for the time being . That said a new fence could be soon be put in place and track relaid. It is though a sad sight to see
