Why is being gay worth celebrating??

We're all the same, we should treat all as the same.

It would also be classed as Homophobic if there was such a thing as 'straight pride'.

Perhaps its a celebration of that legally being the case in this country and to pressure other countries into the same thing?

  2. Hopefully Berwick aren’t discouraged from doing this in future after last night, as they really aught to make streaming the new normal (geo blocked of course).

    Many lessons to be learnt.

I think the producer may have over thought it, the amount of camera changes were quite distracting. Less is more? Never gonna be a BT standard production so I wouldn’t even try from that aspect.

Not sure what level of the English football pyramid Berwick would have to join but assume that it's something like the Northern Alliance.

I would respectfully suggest that is something way below Lowland League - or East of Scotland League for that matter - level and might be quite a hard sell to players and the public alike. There must be a way around the grant system as the likes of Newport, Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham have, over the years, not seemed to struggle from being in the English Football League.

Think the important focus of the plan is that Shielfield could become a genuine asset and focal point for sport in Berwick rather than a football ground which also stages speedway.

Thankfully moving to the English pyramid was never up for consideration.

aye the town is in dire need of it too, hopefully the plans come to fruition unlike the previous regimes new stadium aspirations.

Applying for grants in England when they play in Scotland seems  a challenge. If they do not think they can get back into the Scottish senior leagues why not move to the English Northern League with opportunities to progress up the English pyramid

A lot of Northern non league clubs pay more than Berwick, despite crowds not being to dissimilar, would still be hard attracting players. Only plus side would be banking on better Scottish players wanting to travel down to Berwick to hopefully “be seen” in an English league.

I believe any grants would be for the stadium and surrounding community facilities at Shielfield rather than to BRFC itself, hence the proposed Berwick Sports Foundation which would take over the lease of Shielfield with BRFC SC (SC) distancing themselves from it to gain eligibility for funding.

Good write up from the very professional first BRFC open forum under the new board.

The Bandits will have a seat at the table on the board for the proposed "Berwick Sports Foundation" which I believe will operate Shielfield Park rather than current leaseholders BRFC SC in order to be eligible for government funding, if all goes to plan.

Reports suggesting that Jye Etheridge has suffered a broken collar bone in the first round of the Australian Finals, it is the same collar bone he broke last season.

Aye, hit the ground pretty hard on his left shoulder. Couldn't do anything about it.

Kurri Kurri abandoned after 4heats unfit track according to Twitter

Track pretty crap onBoxing Day so I'm told at Kurri Kurri, bad again today. Hardly surprising with the ridiculous heat.

Hear the Rangers are getting a new chairman on Monday hope that won't stop proposed track changes

Hopefully the former happens, very important AGM. If JB gets ousted i'd be shocked if that stops the track changes, regardless of Chairmanship at BRFC, they need the Speedway to thrive now more than ever.

You can't be relegated from of the Lowland League . I don't see what difference it makes what League they're in the pitch dimensions will still have be much the same

Yes, you can; its a real possibility too within in the next few years.
