If he qualifies - also rode in division one for three teams in a few meetings - how about Robbie Blackadder of Newcastle?

    Your best speedway year

    The latter

    Your best speedway year

The averages for that publication for 1965 only are incorrect as they assume each rider had four rides in every meeting they rode in during the season. Tactical sub rides for example are ignored although points scored in them are included.

    Jack Chiswell remembered RIP

Baffled by this. Jack Chiswell died in 2001 when he was 93 years of age!!! Certainly not around in 2019 when he would be 111 years old. Take a rest Gustix you’re posting a lot of incorrect things recently.

    Doug Templeton

Brian Craven of Newcastle then in the PL reached the semi final stage in 1962.

    Dougie Templeton.

48-30 win in a challenge match with three Edinburgh riders as guests. As well as Willie Dick Campbell also guested. It then took them ten weeks to win another meeting when they beat Wolverhampton again 53-25.
  18. Last rode for Belle Vue in 1976. Hyde Road closed 1986???

    Funniest names.

Bent Mudgaard. Name used by junior Alan Hartley who rode at Berwick I think mainly in late 60s early 70s

    Pre war training track query

The Kettering track was situated at Hannington which is just off the A43 between Kettering and Northampton. It is included on the Speedway Researcher website under "Northampton Hannington".

  24. Oh dear! No heat times and no match reports. I’ll have to seriously consider whether it will be worthwhile to renew my subscription in a few months time if things do not improve. Also seem to have lost all local track reporters.
