  1. First, congratulations on a fine team performance from the Rebels, rode very inteligent lines to either keep in front or make the passes,a fine performance and never looked like loosing the meeting from heat 2 onwards Auty again a class act for Scumthorpe, the rest were simply not good or smart enough--simple as that on the ref, never have i seen a more shocking performace in speedway, some absolute howlers all night,i can understand the odd mistake by a ref, that happen,s but to make shocking decisions all night ,that i can`t accept more concerning from a club point of view was folk leaving early, never a good sign
  2. maybe he got the `wolberts`` from a fast food place, who knows
  3. sometimes though dragging the dirt back has the reverse affect and you end up with marbles on a hard surface which gains nothing at all The EWR is wide enough i think to let lines develop, sometimes track grading grades the life out of a track
  4. sad thing is if your wish of Chapman getting his fingers burnt comes true, then its highly likely that the Mighty panthers will be gone forever sometimes you have to be becarefull what you wish for

    Leicester v Newcastle 27.04.19

sad to say that is what speedway seems to be about these days Seems this year the Lions will be there or thereabouts come end of the season, will take some beating over two legs in a playoff situation if they can all stay fit

    Scunthorpe 2019

looking at that kid and his lap times its a year to late never mind early
  7. Decent meeting and a fair result.the home win was never really in doubt the the visitors battled away to keep the meeting close, and have to be favourites to progress through to the next round some entertaining racing and good effort from both sides, again track prepped smoth and consistant done and dusted quickly ,which was good as that dam east wind had a bite to it big bonus-------never saw a tractor all night Perfect!

    Scunthorpe 2019

yet reading the press release it was done after discusions with his father, hes still staying around Scunthorpe, will travel with the team to gain experience etc seems to me to be a amicable situation that all are happy with, and thats how it should be

    Scunthorpe 2019

one could argue we dropped one rider, your lot dropped 7 riders,
  12. i dont ride the bike, but talking to alot of riders they all seemed to say it was smoth and consistant other than that im wrong to comment,i just watch

    Sheffield v Redcar 7/4/19

i think i heard at Sheff last week that the work being carried out at Owlerton will be complete by early August and what a stadium it will be then
  14. you would imagine tho cold and damp is ideal conditions for track prep normally they moan about it being hot and dry
  15. Thats exactly how speedway should be,to much HTA is half of what is wrong with speedway i dont care really if a track is slick or grippy,as long as its smooth and consistant, then riders can have a go thats how speedway should be
  16. An excellent meeting last night ,some fantastic racing from both sides on a well prepared track just shows what entertainment most riders can produce when given a track to race on, well done to both teams
  17. an enjoyable meeting in front of what looked like a decent crowd,Owlerton will be very impressive once the renovations are complete Sheffield got there noses in front and never really looked troubled but Scunny battled away to the keep the scoreline close and interesting to much bloody track grading tho and why we needed an interval at a Speedway meeting i will never know
  18. very true, its a shame as the lad a a degree of talent that could get im a good living out of speedway, shame he every now and then has to act the clown
  19. you know what, some folk may go to the showground this year and be really well entertained and enjoy their speedway with a fine team back in the top flight,,,,,,,,regardless of whom is in charge Try it,you might even enjoy it yourself

    Scunthorpe 2019

why is that facinating?,it was the same last year,SWC,has been a long term personnal sponsor of Garrity for some years hasnt he?
  21. so,build his private business from scratch to be a successful local based business, takes a unused grass field in a run down area and turns it into a profitable business and a track that is upthere with the best in the country, and has won silver wear at various levels and you call him not intelligent a clueless? now it matters not if you like him or not or if you agree with him or not,but to dish out personnal insults is below the belt, especially when the hard facts prove other wise and id go as far as saying that it isnt the BSPA,the MC,the riders, the tracks thats wrong with British speedway, its clowns like you that continually pull the sport down ,,,,,thats wrong wiith speedway and btw, have you looked on google maps yet to see if your statement that the EWR is a circle is correct?
  22. hardly living proof is it when both chaps mentioned above seem to run successfull business and are self made, kind makes your point incorrect and as regards to the EWR being a circle, may i suggest you visit google maps and look direct at the track from above,i think you will find its along way off a circle

    Scunthorpe 2019

    thats good news

    Thank you to the BSPA

taking away bonus points for 3rd would help this i think Plus many times on here to see a rider who actually does all he can to provide a race called a nutcase the more nut cases the better!!
  25. 100% correct in what you say, totally agree, but there is other ways of increasing income streams that can be fixed, not variable like bums on seats Maybe he can bring in other forms of income that will go towards the club being viable, add that to a team build to a budget and sticking to it I once looked at some bugets for Scunny and the fluctuations on gate reciepts, coupled with potential rain offs made doing budgets hard work,so we looked at fixed income streams, sponsorships, shared event payments, loan fees, corporate bookings etc and then went from there
