  1. Work, new baby and the general reluctance to travel very far to watch speedway nowadays. If everybody rides to the maximum of their ability we can win anywhere but as a team we are just so inconsistent, plus I can see us getting slaughtered at reserve with no Kerr.
  2. 50-40 and the racing to be 'excellent' even if it's really not.

2019 One big league will it happen.?

It's not an assumption, Lynn's school holiday crowds have historically been very good. I'm sure people do go away but equally there are holiday destinations local to Lynn so you would expect some tourists to attend too.

    Kings Lynn 2018..

If it could be guaranteed that we would get the Bjerre of last year at Belle Vue and he actually fitted in place of Kerr/Garrity then of course you would sign him in a heartbeat but he has been very poor this year and of course was as bad last time he rode for us. The Riss idea is a much better one for me.

With respect then crowds APPEAR to you to be 'half of what they were' in 2015 and the figures you quote. I too could do a few fag packet estimations and mine would suggest that despite dropping a little (no doubt due to inconsistent fixtures and increased admission prices) crowds most certainly have not halved and I very much doubt they have dropped below 1k very often if ever. Don't get me wrong, British speedway is in a pretty bad place but Lynn's crowds are better than most and with four meetings during the summer holidays (why not six?) one would like to think we will have some healthy attendances during that time - weather permitting of course.
  6. Take your point but Lambert had a good World Cup, has won a round of the Euros, tops the British averages, is performing well in Sweden and Poland on a regular basis and is the best non Polish U21 in the world at present. Cook has been poor in the GP's other than Cardiff so if it was a straight choice between the two right now Lambert would have to get the nod. Might all be different come October of course.

    Birmingham Statement

I think you know that I trust and respect your judgement above pretty much any other on this forum. I remember that first fans forum in 2004 when Mr Rogers first addressed the Lynn faithful, he came across extremely well and left a great impression. I'm sure standing in here and there he is an excellent man to have around due to his positivity but I'm not sure how the Flint episode amongst others can be justified defended. Perhaps it is an absolute desperation to succeed in his roles at clubs.

Out of interest are you privy to attendance figures or are those comments based on your own observations?

I'm sure plenty if us have our fingers and toes crossed.

I accept all of what you say but the cock up with Trevor Harding's average and that night of 'engine failures' at Lynn are as bad as anything we've ever experienced at the Norfolk Arena. I'm certainly not interested in hanging Mr Rogers out to dry or abusing him but the facts over the years speak for themselves and how many clubs he has been at in that time.
  11. He is right though, you are an irritating smart arse.
  12. Will be a close meeting just like last time, plenty of Somerset riders like our circuit and they are on good form at the moment. 46-44

Even if enough riders could be found this needs to be done properly so that each team starts the season with a competitive team, not like the mess of 1995. I like the idea of regular and varied fixtures with local derbies again but it needs to be done properly.....no confidence that the current crop of promoters could achieve that unfortunately.
  14. I agree, sometimes it's better to secure the 4-2 than risk losing any kind of heat advantage. I thought from the footage that Thorsell always looked faster than Etheridge.
  15. Proper speedway Nige. If only every track had entrances and exits to the bends as wide as that.
  16. Would agree with this, although I don't think any team in the league are anything special at the moment. Robert apart we are far to inconsistent and have now lost the benefit of Lewi's big scores at reserve. Several riders are going to have to raise their games if we are to do anything in the Play Offs, should we get there of course. Good to see Simon Lambert proving people wrong for the umpteenth time.
  17. Basic league table (M = meetings, P = points) 1 Somerset M13 P28 2 Swindon M16 P26 3 Wolverhampton M14 P25 4 Belle Vue M14 P23 5 King's Lynn M12 P22 6 Poole M14 P21 7 Leicester M13 P17
  18. KING'S LYNN are back in home action on Wednesday when reigning Premiership Champions Swindon are the visitors to the Adrian Flux Arena (7.30).It's the second of three home meetings in the space of a week for the Tru Plant Stars and they head into this one on the back of a dramatic last gasp victory over Poole on Monday.Team boss Dale Allitt is hoping they can carry the momentum gained from that over into their clash with the Robins who he insists will provide another stern test."We know Swindon are tough opposition, especially as it's a very similar side to the one that won them the Premiership last season with five of the same riders," Allitt said."They had to dig deep for a win of their own at home to Leicester on Monday but as always though, we just have to focus on our own game and if we get off to a better start and ride to our capabilities then we know we have got what it takes to beat anybody in this league."Our last three results have put us right back in the mix for a top four finish and it's going to be an exciting run-in as we head towards the final couple of months of the season."KING'S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Michael Palm Toft, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Simon Lambert, Jason Garrity.SWINDON: Nick Morris, David Bellego, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Troy Batchelor, Zach Wajtknecht, Jack Smith.a

    Kings Lynn 2018..

That can't possibly fit can it?
  21. Tell me about it business not booming at the moment! Whatever Poole's shortcomings I think Lynn deserve credit for battling away under pressure and having the character to dig in for the win. Team spirit and fitness were part of the marginal gains approach before the season began, perhaps they played a part in nicking the win last night. Two more wins over the next week and we'll be sitting pretty.
  22. Thats what people on this forum love about Poole fans, how humble they are.
