Should the points limit be set to the highest team average from the previous season?
robins les replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But you can't have a 2 point assessed average in PL, nothing less than 3 & surely the conversion rate is 0.6 meaning an average of 2.63. The conversion rate from PL to CL is 1.6. If you had a movable conversion rate as you suggest, there would be outrage & people saying there was cheating. -

Yes heat 15 is included but then the average shows for 4 rides not 5. No need to throw insults about it is not necessary. -
He wouldn't have stayed. Rosco was already looking to replace & that is why he was able to bring Razza in after the away meeting at Poole. R/R at Poole & Razza in the home meeting that night.

Riders who have said that in the past have found out that the lack of regular rides has cost them & not helped them to improve their GP form. -
He didn't sack Zach, he retired from speedway as he had lost confidence. Nielsen rode wellin his 1st meeting for the Robins & then got injured. Lampert was a gamble on a rider who's average fitted the riders he was already signing. Not every gamble comes off but Razza certainly did. That's Rosco's 4th title, it can't all been down to luck.

That's ignoring the fact the present points average covers up to heat 14, as all averages are based on 4 rides. -

Around 4 or 5 I think. Apparently Sweden are struggling with the crowds now. -

There possibly be more GP riders available for 2020 as I have seen that quite a few saying that they are riding in Sweden next year. -
Not lucky to improve! Rosco made the right replacement signings when Lampert withheld his services. Continued improvement after Razzer signed & then the changes to reserves when Zach retired. Good management from Rosco.

If the BSPA don't agree to Russel's proposal, so that all teams build up to Swindon's average, then one of Doyle/Batch will have to go. Personally if we have to make 2/3 changes, then I would seriously look at Kyle Newman for next season. He looked mustard in his last appearance at the Abbey, obviously loved the new track.

Premiership Playoff Final 2nd Leg - Swindon v Ipswich - 17/10
robins les replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Would that be the same team that lost 53 - 37 on their last visit to the Abbey. Yes dream on SS, you couldn't beat the team that were thrashed last night. There must be some illegal substances in your Vienetta! -
If he's on a polish (Polish) licence, does that mean he has to clean up & make things change shine?

Gavan did say 10, you are the only one quoting 12. -

Mondays are a priority night for PL clubs. -
I think that Nick is still struggling with recovery from his wrist injury. It could be that a winter in Oz will sort his problem out. I hope so, because he would be a good shout on his average. Also, judging on Howarth's performance on Thursday, it might be worth Rosco contacting him for next season.

No doubt the tractors will have a huge part to play. -

Just go's to show that Poole fans don't know everything as some seem to assume they do. It's not often that Ford bought an asset, usually brings them in from the continent, rides them for 1 season & then drops them. I'm not sure that you will see Poole or any other club buying assets now as most clubs are struggling with finances now. -

Was he ever a Poole asset ? Swindon bought him from Lakeside, a side he rode for before Poole. -
Won't be happening as Swindon - Wolves scheduled for 10th due to rain-off.

I still think that Zach will come good. I believe that his last speedway injury played on his mind. Batch had 2 bad seasons after his injury & then returned to form at Kings Lynn followed by 2 great seasons at the Abbey, this year his average has gone up from 7.69 to 8.82. From what I can gather, Zach has been doing well in grass track this year. -

Sorry, you're wrong Brum. They were the 2nd team to win there, the Robins did it before them & in some style, a 4point win 39 - 51. -

If you read my post fully, I said at the end of the season. In today's speedway, It's not the team that finishes top that counts, it's often the team that are in form in Sept/Oct. That's when Swindon really started to motor. -
Big decisions in November.

Whilst I agree with you, those tournaments are held in what are the traditionally drier months. ( Wishful thinking perhaps.) Also, many have complained that interest wains at many clubs when there are big gaps in fixtures.
