  1. Track was decent despite the weather Birmingham were good especially in the early heats when Witches weren't gating Milik and Lampart were better than I thought they might be. Flint had a bad night but he's much better than that Ellis very good for the witches when he gated and Thompson was excellent and on the pace throughout
  2. I didn't see a second ambulance

    Brandon Update

There was already a track in situ at Workington with permission. Finding the land and getting permission is the difficult bit, see Wolves

    RYE HOUSE

Maybe the OP just saw the planning application and presumed it was for the stadium Anyway let's hope this one gets refused

    RYE HOUSE

It appears that a retrospective planning application to East Herts Council was submitted and validated by the council last week Details on East Herts planning portal

    Brummies 2024...

He's been replaced by Nicholls as an injury replacement so there's no ban that is appropriate If he starts riding in Poland but not in Birmingham then that's a different matter

    Brummies 2024...

Isn't his point that if he rides in Poland but doesn't return for Birmingham then he'll be deemed to be withholding services?

Sometimes it's better to say nothing or say he'll be there if treatment permits

    Brandon Update

There may of course be a relaxation in planning laws at some point by a future government if BE want to/can play the long game

CVS runs his own show, I'd be amazed if he'd consider working for anyone else

    Brummies 2024...

Presumably they'll have to sign a replacement, no facility for someone who hasn't ridden for you?

    Swindon Stadium

It wouldn't have happened earlier unless there were financial issues. Rights are protected for 3 years. Whether they need to change that rule is another thing

    Swindon Stadium

Promotional rights are normally protected for 3 seasons so if you discount the 2020 covid season then this appears to be the case here.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Same as Coventry really you don't need the Grandstand to run speedway at the Showground, it helps but it's not essential

Can't see Pawlicki being an 8, if he lives up to his assessed average he'll have done well

    Swindon Stadium

I'm fairly sure that the rule used to be (it might still be I don't know) that your licence was protected for 3 years from closure provided of course the finances were in order. After that they could entertain applications from any interested parties Anyone know the up to date position

    Brummies 2024...

I don't think that Brum can be worrying about Sheffield, Ipswich and BV They need to have a look at Kings Lynn for example who have a good no 1 but an average no 5. Ditto Oxford

    Brummies 2024...

Fingers crossed, he's got to have a decent number 1 no doubt about that

    Brummies 2024...

They've had years to attract Cradley and Coventry fans and haven't, they've signed the bottom of the Wolves team not the top so I wish them well with that I think you're right in that any concerted effort to attract other West Midlands fans would need to be something new that hadn't been tried before

    Brummies 2024...

It depends who the 6 riders are

    Brummies 2024...

They haven't managed to attract Coventry and Cradley fans in any significant numbers over an extended period I don't see why this season will be any different They might get some Wolves fans but if the team is losing every/most weeks that won't last long
