I dont bother reading your posts , as it makes me want to ring the Samaritans. Its ok for you , you have them on speed dial.

How bad were Wolves ? Most Prem league teams would have stuffed them tonight. Shocking display from the worst Elite league team this season. Waiting for the deluded Brum to make his excuses. A frequent event.

The Dilemma Of Ole Olsen
Phlipphlopp replied to Grand Central's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Cant agree with that. Its purely a showpiece event. Every other year its half decent , but i'm pretty sure most people go for the atmosphere and the social aspect. Rather than staying sober as per usual i might try the social aspect this year -
Cant get my head around bet365. On Saturday i was able to do a treble in the rider match ups , yet for the event tonight i cant. Most odd.

Pay per view now is it ? Most moronic comment on the whole thread.

The Trouble With Speedway Is, Too Many Things Can Go Wrong
Phlipphlopp replied to cityrebel's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Must be a myth surely. -
Great logic. What if someone likes the other 15 riders ? Think about it for a while...............

They have returned my losing stake on the Swedes , but i agree , the result was called.

Speedway And The Recession?
Phlipphlopp replied to The White Knight's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
What recession ? People like Lucifer Sam still attends 50+ meetings a year with a lot of mileage , so either , we havent had a recession , or socialists arent doing so badly under the tories than they'd have us believe. Or maybe they are middle class denialists ? -
Why the hell should they ? The SS is a reporting publication , nothing more nothing less. Who are they to condemn , they are not judge and jury. Just the news will do , not some sanctimonious twaddle about ethics etc. Its not up to the SS to become agony aunt to speedway riders.

Riding In Europe In The Old Days
Phlipphlopp replied to ch958's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Possibly. Speedway riders are mercenaries , same then , same now. Oh sorry they do it purely for our entertainment lol ! -

I'd just like to mention 1974. :D -
Riding In Europe In The Old Days

Yes , but not a 'copter . John Richards (joint promoter with Wally Mawdsley) who had a car dealership in Bishops Lydeard let Ivan have use of his private plane. Not a modern day jet , but a decent turbo-prop which enabled Ivan to ride on the continent and be picked up at Exeter airport ready for Gulf BL racing on Monday nights. -

Had the pleasure of watching Jimmy Mac a few times down here when i was a nipper , always good value and a gutsy bloke. Good ole fashioned rider who enjoyed his racing.

Track Grading, To Much, To Little, Tractor Racing, Wrong Times & Rakers.......
Phlipphlopp replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Another reason why track rakers were used pre airfences was to scape shale off the fence so riders actually knew where the fence was ! -
El Play Off Final 2nd Leg - Poole V Coventry Monday 20th October 2014
Phlipphlopp replied to Skidder1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As in unfortunate for Poole , not Ward himself. Of course anyone with half a brain cell would have realised this. Apart from trolls/Poole haters . -
Every home team has an advantage , that hasnt changed since 1928. Familiarity always gives riders an edge , but not a given against decent opposition. For home advantage think Exeter , some riders crapped themselves at the County Ground , others attacked it and mastered it. Same as most tracks i guess , none are the same.

And without TV ? Speedway wins.

Although i'm gutted to agree , how many people apart from the Olympics can say they have watched a serious swimming event ? I'd guess speedway worldwide pulls a greater number of spectators each year , many , many times over.

Leicester V Poole Wednesday 17th September 7.30 Pm
Phlipphlopp replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Betting.
Morris over 7 looks ok , scored a paid max for Swindon last time he was there. -
Leicester V Poole Wednesday 17th September 7.30 Pm
Phlipphlopp replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Betting.
I think 365 have got some sums wrong here unless i've read it wrongly......Have Poole +6 @ 8/11 on the handicap , yet on the 3 way money line ,yet are 3/10 off a level start. How can this be , only a complete plonker would bet on the 3 way line rather than take the +6 at miles better odds ? -
Kings Lynn V Lakeside Tues 16th Sept 7.30pm
Phlipphlopp replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its on the night. Look at Cov/ Poole yesterday. Anything can happen. I just hope the weather doesnt spoil the play offs and have tracks like ploughed fields. -
Vojens Gp 2014
Phlipphlopp replied to Ghostwalker's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Mostly of him jumping off the side like Batch did and kicking stuff in his pits. I dont call that passion , i call that losing your cool.
