    Tony Millard!

Its a good job your not a commentator macca56 as that would be a faux pau. The opposite is true. Eurosport actually send their people to the locations. Most Sky sport transmissions are from a studio in London. Steve Johnstone passed me in his van on the M1 last year about 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. He did the commentary that night from a GP and it was not Cardiff.

    New Cross

    New Cross

Thanks Norbold that is truly a wonderful sight Peter Craven in a NX jacket. Could it not have been taken on Wedenesday September the 23rd. 1959 when he won the Tom Farndon memorial trophy with a 15 point maximum though, and not when he was riding for them in a match? Could you not have somemore teeth out and do a lot more NewX pictures though please

    Old Riders

No doubt 'Wee' Georgie Newton was knocking on a bit Ian, but in his day he was a very popular and much loved rider with the New Cross fans down off the Old Kent Road. Not sure if he was the oldest, but as previously mentioned Wal Morton would be thereabouts methinks.

    3rd Time Lucky Canterbury Crusaders!

Canterbury Speedway without Shazzybird would be like the Pope without Rome. It keeps its status almost through her alone. When I now think of Shazzybird, I will always think of Canterbury Speedway. And visa versa. "Long may she reign"

    Name The Track?

Shazzybird and CHK it was not that difficult really, I have a copy of the 'Stenners' Speedway annual for 1950 and it was very simple to look. Do another CHK but its not University Challenge by along way!!!! Though it was fun....
