    Croatian Gp Gorican 28th July

What are these commentators all about? 'Chains get very hot'! Holder's unfortune had nothing to do with chain temperature... Holders skid shoe clattered off the chain and shattered it.

ManchesterPaul... In heat 10, Lindgren was assisting Jonsson by letting him past... Jonsson is now on 9/9 points. Watch the heat again and tell me different? Clear as day!!!

That is probably the most blatant fix I have ever seen in Speedway... Heat 10, Lindgren was looking to let his countryman; Jonsson through for the win! Disgraceful!!!

    Swc Final Line Ups

2006 just to early for me and didn't see any televised meetings then. Just about went to Ashfield for the first time around 2006. So yeah, I think The world cup final was the best meeting that I have witnessed on TV and going by the examples you give, only as recent as 2007, it was probably the best televised meetings in quite some time.

    Swc Final Line Ups

Just shows you can't please all of the peeple; all of the time... ...that was the BEST (bar none) speedway meeting I have ever watched on TV, granted I have only been a die-hard for the last few years... but FFS... the racing was everything I would want in a Speedway meeting! To those who have any complaints about this or that??? ...Sincerely, Good on you!

    Swc Final Line Ups

Aye, Dave was blabbing about the benefits of individual over team last week in Glasgow ...but I'm not going to hold it against the big man, my beer is at least 2 Degres Centigrade cooler now (come the dregs), due to his technological ingenuity in the field of beer cooler systems! Well used technology at that.

    Swc Final Line Ups

Them's the breaks... don't over analyse it though. Every team starts and ends the meeting under the same rules... sometimes it goes for you... sometimes against! What I would say about the Joker, is that if I were a team manager, I would use it at the first opportunity to get 6 points (ie a maximum); irrespective of the timing in the meeting! ...I just hope Sky TV/or whoever it is that do the SGP/SWC series of DVD's do a special un-edited (ie. just as we saw it tonight) DVD of this meeting, cos I would pay £30 for it without even a second thought! It was THAT good

Polish Extraleague Rnd 13 Sunday 17th July

I'll at least get to watch the Polish stuff this week, as Glasgow are racing on the Monday night for a change.
  12. Why didn't the Brits and the Poles not just let the Czechs win heat 25?
  13. I agree with your sentiment, but was just wondering about what a USA team would look like? 1. Greg Hancock 2. Ryan Fisher 3. ? 4. ? 5. ?

    Welsh Open

Thank you to all my waspy Newport friends, I had a great afternoon with ya all Well done to the Fish... as I said to him after the meeting, 3rd time lucky at the Taffy Open and wholly well deserved, but great to see Kevin Dooly have a good return and glad Wee Morris didn't corrupt his collar bone with the pretty hefty fall in his 3rd outing. All in all, it was fantastic sunshine... very good racing... a much MUCH improved track as far as the dust (in comparison to last year) goes! Well done Newport Wasps for putting on a superb event which was the perfect end to a great weekend! One last thing, I had a ball with my Edinburgh collegues and was a pleasure to meet my Coventry Bee friend too! ...I just hope I can get up at 5am now and get my flight back to Glasgae
  16. Private joke mate, those in the know will get it
  17. I'm in deep rubbish from a pummulling from the Edinburgh mob now for my faux-pas

Just off the phone to George (crazy Tiger dude you will all have met at some point )... he was just about to board the Tigers supporters bus for his 8 hour journey to cardiff... ...Ah well, i'll take the high road and geo takes the low road and I'll be in Cardiff before ye... actually at this rate, Geo will be there days before me! Ps. It's amazing the pish you will write on pay-as-you-go internet when your bored and you malso know that the T'internet in the airport is on a timer... I have just been told that I have 2 minutes left That 3 minutes just cost me a quid... but at least it is 3 minutes less to go to the flight! See ya all in Cardiff

    Cardiff Bevvy

Haha... the Bevvy has already started ...unfortunately it is at Glasgow Airport. Went through security after getting our boarding passes at about 5:45am to get the 6:55am FlyBe flight... as soon as we got through security, we looked at the board to find out what gate to find out the flight is delayed until 9:40am Bugger!!!

  22. I'm not so sure about Sheffield's perceived strength. They are stong, but Joe outclassed the Messiah in the live Somerset v Glasgow meeting last year and despite Parkers undoubted class, he never really shone at the OTA like he has done at Glasgow over the years & Ricky Ashworth is beatable round there. If there is anything you get with the pairs, then it is suprise packages also. Because it is only two in a team, if both guy's are firing, then underdogs can win the thing. I don't realy think there is any team competing that I would completely dismiss.
