Well don't quote me on this but i hear that during the delay before the riders come out for the final heat, the tannoy will be playing Hot Chocolate's classic - 'EVERYONE'S A WINNER', Nick Berry's 'EVERY LOSER WINS' . Unfortunately, the B.S.P.A. copy of the Abba c.d. with 'The Winner Takes it all' was sadly lost for eternity when it mysteriously perished in a bonfire down on the south coast at the weekend. The fire is alleged to have been started with a combination of peroxide bleach, perming lotion and fake tan concentrate.

" I believe that children are our future, teach them well and take them to speed-way " At least that's what i thought she sang Hey, Guys ! a coach load of O.A.P.'s has just turned up in an Age Concern bus taking advantage of the consessions now too, hope they are not too late to get tickets !.

To be honest Hector and Pirate Nick, no-one is asking the pirates fans to defend this. I would however be interested to hear what Steve has to say in defence (or otherwise) of this incident.

With such a well liked guy like Johnno i would imagine it could be a pretty quality turnout of riders too.

Judging from the youtube video of the final heat showing the crowd around the stadium then either a) there was nowhere near full capacity, or b ) the back row of the stand had a wardrobe with "this way to Narnia" written on it and due to the reported processional racing half the crowd had gone to explore it.

Indeed Steve, this is exactly what i did. This and nothing more. No malice, no bitching, no ill-feeling, no bad wishes, no hopes of failure. What i did Steve was give an opinion, you know, like you do on virtually every thread on this forum, and i still stand by that opinion which is that even though the capacity has been dropped from 7000 to 5,500 it will still not be a sell out.

Steve, there is a world of difference between me commenting on my interpretation of the contents of your post, and me wanting the meeting to 'come a cropper', especially as this is the first time i have commented on this thread which has been running for over 3 months. I guess i'll go back to not bothering to read or comment on Poole threads - but then that could be tricky as 99% of threads seem to turn into them.

Sorry if this has already been covered but i've been off the forum for a few days. Does anyone know if there is anything going on entertainment wise before the meeting tonight ?. With gates opening at 5.30pm and the meeting starting at 7.30pm i hope there is something to fill the gap.
